Live Nation's $30 summer concert deal includes Richmond shows
Why it matters: The " $30 Ticket to Summer" launches Wednesday and includes more than a dozen shows at Richmond's (and Live Nation's) new Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront.
Zoom in: Boyz II Men, Brad Paisley, Jason Isbell, The Head and The Heart, Leon Bridges and Weird Al Yankovic are among the Allianz shows included in the $30 ticket special, per Live Nation.
In some cases, like the Counting Crows' July show, tickets end up being about $10 cheaper with the deal.
In others, like Steve Martin and Martin Short in September, $30 is basically half-off the cheapest tickets currently available.
Zoom out: If none of the Richmond shows spark your interest, the Ticket to Summer promo is also running for select shows at Live Nation's other venues in the state, which are:
Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion in Portsmouth.
and The Dome in Virginia Beach.
Jiffy Lube Live in Northern Virginia.
Highlights from those lineups on special include Kesha and comedian Kevin James in Virginia Beach, Cyndi Lauper in NoVa, and The Temptations & The Four Tops in Portsmouth.
Flashback: Last summer, Live Nation celebrated 10 years of "Concert Week" with $25 tickets, but those deals only lasted one week.
Between the lines: Tickets purchased through the offer include all the fees in the $30 cost, according to Live Nation. Any taxes, which differ among venues, will be added at checkout.

Slim Speaks on Diddy Verdict, R&B Groups and 112's 30th Anniversary
In a candid interview on Ryan Cameron Uncensored , special guest host Slim from the iconic R&B group 112 opened up about the recent Diddy trial verdict, the state of the group, and their plans for a 30th-anniversary tour. When asked about the Diddy trial, Slim didn't shy away from sharing his thoughts. 'It's unfortunate what happened with Diddy,' he said. 'That's somebody people looked up to, and there was no win for any of the victims or anybody involved in the situation. It's more like you learn something from this.' Slim emphasized the importance of reflection, adding, 'Let's get closer to God. Nothing else matters.' Slim also addressed the legacy of 112, a group that rose to fame under Diddy's Bad Boy Records in the 1990s. Despite challenges, including members parting ways, Slim and his cousin/bandmate Mike have kept the group's name alive. 'We've never cheated it, never quit from it,' Slim said. 'That's the reason why 112 is still right here, and why Live Nation is giving us this opportunity.' Reflecting on his solo career, Slim revealed that going solo wasn't his initial plan. 'I never wanted to be solo,' he admitted. 'I was put in a situation where I had to make a decision because I had bills to pay.' While he values his solo work, Slim emphasized that his heart has always been with the group. 'My initial thing was always about the group,' he said, highlighting the challenges of balancing individual ambitions within a collective. The group is gearing up for a major milestone: their 30th-anniversary tour. Starting in November, the tour will span several months, bringing fans a nostalgic celebration of their hits. 'Live Nation has given us a world tour,' Slim revealed. 'We're bringing the whole world to Room 112.' Beyond music, Slim remains active in his community. He highlighted his work with his cousin, Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett, and other notable figures like Shaquille O'Neal and Julio Jones. Together, they've been involved in initiatives to support youth and recreational sports. 'We're just working in the community, working with the kids,' Slim shared. As for the future of R&B, Slim expressed hope for a resurgence of groups but acknowledged the challenges. 'In a group, you have to be selfless,' he said. 'If you have any selfish bone in your body, you're going to be the cancer of the group.' With a reflective outlook and a commitment to both music and community, Slim continues to honor 112's legacy while looking ahead to new opportunities. My Favorite Handheld Fan Is Only $8 and It'll Keep You Cool During Your July 4th Festivities
Summer is fully here and searing in its intensity, which means you might be looking for easy ways to stay cool. A portable handheld fan can help you beat the heat while you're out running errands. Right now, this USB-C-powered fan is even cheaper than the fans you find at festivals and theme parks. Several CNET writers purchased the Yoshenmo portable fan back in May when it was discounted from $30 down to $11 -- its lowest ever price at the time -- and we've been absolutely in love with them. Now that the deal is back for July 4th and even lower than before. You can pick up the black color variant of the Yoshenmo mini foldable handheld fan for just $8, a 35% discount, and it is available for overnight delivery to most regions, so you could use it tomorrow while out at barbecues or while waiting for fireworks. The blue, white and green variants are also on sale for $12, and the pink model is on sale for $11. This deal sold out quickly last time and ended up backordered by the end of Memorial Day weekend -- I waited three weeks for my light blue one -- so, don't sleep on this one. It's one of the best deals under $25 today. Using this fan indoors and out, the Yoshenmo has proven itself quite adaptable, though expectedly a bit loud at its full 10,500 RPM speed, being essentially a tiny jet engine. However, you don't need full or even half speed most of the time, and as I sit at my desk writing this, it's just a soft whirring sound at speed 1 for a gentle breeze. The scroll wheel on the side of the main housing does take a teeny bit of getting used to since you scroll down to turn up the speed and scroll up to turn it down, but I'm grateful for ultra-fine speed control of the 1-199 range. Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. Your battery life will greatly depend on your fan speed, but since it uses USB-C, it's easy enough to plug it into my phone or laptop charger. Sadly, the only way to check the battery level on the light-up digital display is to plug it into a charger, but it can run at least 15 hours on a single charge. It never left me hanging and shouldn't die mid-afternoon on you so long as you charge it up regularly. You can recharge it from a power bank or even the USB ports in your car, since its maximum charging speed is only 10W. It takes a couple of hours to charge fully, but you can still use the fan while it's charging if you're really in a pinch. Why this deal matters Summer heat can be uncomfortable, especially for those on the go. The Yoshenmo mini portable fan makes sure you stay cool and sweat-free throughout the day. This rare deal lets you grab it for just $8 for a limited time, making it one of the best Fourth of July deals available so far.
