Dad left shocked after Disneyland breakfast bill over €800
A family of five headed to the famous California theme park booked the Princess Breakfast in a bid to make their trip all that more special, however, the dad was completely taken aback by the amount he had to pay, including a tip of over €100, The Mirror UK reports.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, to air his frustrations, the dad shared a photo of his receipt from the pricey breakfast, with a tip of $150 (€130) for a total of $937.65 (€813). He added the caption: "'Princess Breakfast' at Disneyland with my kids. Almost spit out my coffee."
He added in the comment section: "I think if someone went to Disneyland and insisted on doing All The Things they could easily spend $3,000 per day. If I find that goddamn mouse I am going to mug him."
The dad's post racked up almost 17 million views, as people were left shocked by the massive price of the breakfast.
One wrote: "This is why my daughter continues to believe Disney is closed for Covid." A second penned: "For that much money you can get an after hours private tour of the Vatican."
A third candidly asked: "How many princesses did you eat?!" while another penned: "I can see why you didn't spit out your coffee … it probably cost $45."
Others applauded him with: "You're a great dad for doing this…better than I'll ever be." Another asked: "I'm going to assume there was no booze included in this?", and the dad replied: "One Bloody Mary."
On the Disneyland website, it describes the 'Princess Breakfast' as an "unforgettable 3-course breakfast" with "enchanting encounters with some favourite Disney Princesses." It also states that it starts at $142 (€123).

The series follows six friends who meet up every season and how their lives change over the course of a year. The show has already been renewed for a second season and we couldn't recommend it more. A series that had viewers gripped from the first episode was the Disney+ series Paradise starring Sterling K Brown and James Marsden. It's a show that is hard to describe without spoiling the mega plot-twist in the conclusion of the first episode, but we'll just say it stars a Secret Service agent who is in charge of protecting the President of the United States and… well… things go wrong. Another show that has a new season incoming is the massively popular Only Murders in the Building which has taken the true crime podcast trope and made a fictional series out of it. Starring Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez, with some megastar cameos and supporting cast each season, there are four seasons for fans to feed their murder mystery appetites now streaming, and season five lands September 9. While it's been 15 years since the show ended, Scrubs is still a popular series for a rewatch. And, considering it's getting a reboot with many of the main cast returning, what better time to pop it back on the telly? Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Fleabag was the show everyone was going crazy for when it was airing, and even though it's only two seasons with a total of 12 episodes, it's a must-see show. The show is adapted from Waller-Bridge's 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe one-woman play of the same name (which won a Fringe First Award) and introduced the world to Andrew Scott's Hot Priest. Based on the book series by Lee Childs, Reacher stars Alan Ritchson as the titular character who always seems to find himself getting into trouble and needing to help solve a mystery or two. The series has three seasons now streaming, and the fourth is currently in production. A show that might have gone under the radar is The Big Door Prize which stars our very own Chris O'Dowd and follows the residents of a small town which is changed when a mysterious machine appears that promises to reveal everyone's true potential. Similar to many of the shows on this list, it's only 30-minutes an episode and has two seasons now streaming, but alas, that's your lot. This entry might be the most difficult to get a hold of in the Rep of Ireland without a VPN, but the UK version of Ghosts is definitely worth the effort and has five seasons to watch. The show follows a group of ghosts from different historical periods haunting a country house while sharing it with its new living occupants, and stars a slew of familiar faces from the British comedy scene such as Taskmaster alumni Charlotte Ritchie, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Mathew Baynton, and Lolly Adefope.

Wednesday showrunner reveals Ireland was always the plan for hit series
Ahead of the release of season two on Netflix this week, more fun facts are emerging about the making of the hit series Wednesday. The second season moved production to Ireland, after season one was shot in Romania, and it turns out, Ireland was always on the cards. When visiting the Wednesday set in Ashford Studios, Geek Ireland got to speak to Showrunner Alfred Gough about finally getting the series to Ireland, where he and his co-showrunner, Miles Millar, shot their previous show. He shared: 'We shot our last series here, so we've been to Ireland before and we love it. So it's been fantastic to get back here and that's one of the reasons why Ireland was on the list for Wednesday. 'We tried to get here in season one, and it was right after the pandemic when everything was starting to, at least the film world, was opening up again. There were no stages [available] here. 'Even the areas for our last show, Into the Badlands, like old warehouses that we had shot in, I think had become COVID test centres or like package depots because of Brexit, so there was literally nothing to do. 'So we ended up in Romania for season one, which, you know, worked out great. It gave us all the space that we needed, but it wasn't really conducive for a long term television show So when we had the opportunity to come to Ireland, we all jumped on it.' He elaborated: 'They [Gough and Millar] had the idea for the show while they were in Ireland and actually they had Ireland in mind [for the shoot] with a lot of the locations in Wicklow. 'Unfortunately, when it came time to produce it, there wasn't capacity in Ireland to take the show and, whilst I know they had a wonderful time in Romania, I think a little part of them always wanted to be here.' Lindsay Lohan comes full circle with Freakier Friday
Lindsay Lohan says she drew upon her own experiences of motherhood for Freakier Friday, the highly anticipated sequel to her hit 2003 movie Freaky Friday. Watch: The trailer for Freakier Friday Lohan, 39, welcomed her first child in 2023, a year before the Disney movie was filmed. "It felt full circle for me, and also the timing was pretty impeccable considering that I'm a new mom and I was able to bring being a mom into the character," Lohan said at the film's London premiere. "It's the first time I'm able to do that on screen." 2003's Freaky Friday, with a reported budget of $26 million, was a surprise hit, making over $160 million worldwide and obtaining a cult following. The 2025 follow-up sees Lohan reprising her role as Anna Coleman alongside returning co-star Jamie Lee Curtis as Anna's mother, Tess. Twenty years on, Anna is a single parent to tomboy teen daughter Harper, played by Julia Butters. Their relationship comes under stress when Anna falls for Eric (Manny Jacinto), the father of Harper's new British classmate Lily (Sophia Hammons), and they decide to marry. The future stepsisters, with a mutual dislike for one another, decide to intervene. While the 2003 film saw a body swap between Tess and Anna, things get "freakier" this time around with Tess and Anna switching bodies with Lily and Harper. Before signing on to the sequel, Lohan ensured that Anna returned as a multi-faceted and relatable character. "It was important to me that we explained who Anna is today and how she's evolved and the dynamic between her and her daughter, as she's a single working mom. "There are some basic points that I wanted to get across because I want people to see the movie and find a piece of it that they can grab onto and be like, 'Okay, I get that'," she said. Directed by Nisha Ganatra, the movie also sees actor Chad Michael Murray reprising the role of young Anna's love interest, Jake. Shooting the sequel was a "lovefest", said Murray. "It was the same, but better. It felt very much like connective tissue to the first movie. Everyone loved going to work and no one wanted to go home." Freakier Friday marks Lohan's big screen return. "It's obviously nerve-wracking because you want it to be great and you want people to love what you do," she said. "As long as people are enjoying what I'm doing and it's making them happy, then I feel like I'm doing my job, and that's what I'm here to do."
