Coach Peseiro leaves Egypt's Zamalek after three months
"An agreement has been reached between Zamalek and coach Jose Peseiro to mutually terminate the contract," the club said on Facebook. "We wish you the best in your future endeavours."
Former Porto and Sporting Lisbon coach Peseiro, 65, joined Zamalek on February 14 to become only the fifth coach to lead both Egyptian rivals Zamalek and Al-Ahly.
However, Zamalek, the defending champions, were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup and the Egyptian League Cup under Peseiro, and a poor run in the league saw them slip to third place, seven points adrift of leaders Pyramids.
Peseiro has previously coached the national teams of Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, as well as the Saudi club Al-Hilal and United Arab Emirates' teams Al Wahda and Sharjah.

While rating the Swede as a 'great player', former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham boss Mourinho believes he now faces a much sterner test in the Premier League. In a wide-ranging interview with Portugal's Channel 11, Mourinho noted at Sporting, Gyokeres had a team build to play around him under Ruben Amorim and his successor Rui Borges who 'adapted' the team to the striker's needs. 'He's a great player. I have no doubt,' Mourinho said. 'But Sporting had a way of playing very much around him, very adapted. I don't know what Hugo Viana and Ruben [Amorim] initially thought; he's a player with great potential. 'But in England, he'll play against stronger teams, better players. While Gyokeres has only had eyes for Arsenal, the 26-year-old has been strongly linked to a number of clubs. As part of the photoshoot for the publication, the striker opened up about his workout routine at home and how he's maximised his personal space to produce the best results on the pitch. Arteta would certainly be impressed with the forward's consistent routine and the work ethic he possesses as he explained on their YouTube channel:"I think physicality is a big part of my game. I always need to maintain it and keep getting better. "Yeah I do my pull ups, push ups, sometimes shoulder press. Sometimes after a game where I need to rest my legs, I can focus on the upper body so if I don't do it with the team, I can do the exercises at home. "So that's why I have my gym here, and I have the possibility to do it at home. So that's what I enjoy on a daily basis." The confirmation of Gyokeres will make it five major signings for Arsenal this summer after a season where they finished second in the league for the third campaign in a row. The Gunners have already brought in Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke, while they reportedly remain keen on bringing in Eberechi Eze and Cristhian Mosquera this summer. Celtic's '12th Lisbon Lion' John Fallon dies aged 84
Fallon was the only Celtic substitute when Jock Stein's side beat Inter Milan 2-1 in the Portuguese capital to win the European Cup in 1967. The Cambuslang-born goalkeeper joined Celtic in 1958 and made almost 200 appearances over a 14-year period. He played in the team that kick-started Celtic's trophy success under Stein with victory over Dunfermline in the 1965 Scottish Cup final and went on to collect 14 winners' medals in total before leaving for Motherwell. He also had a brief spell with Morton before retiring. A statement from the Scottish champions read: 'His love for Celtic, however, was a constant throughout the years, and he followed the club at home and away for the rest of life. 'His passing comes as a great sadness to us all, and the thoughts and prayers of everyone connected with Celtic Football Club are with his family and friends at this sad time.' Fallon was reunited with his European Cup winners' medal in 2019, having lost it in the wake of the final. The memento was donated to Celtic, who returned it to its rightful owner. Speaking at the time, Fallon told the Celtic website: 'We were wading through scores of fans to get off the park and into the dressing room. It's such a great memory. 'We'll never forget it, and it's something everyone should be proud of. For the Celtic supporters, we gave them something to look at that nobody else could.' Fallon attended the funeral of fellow Lisbon Lion John Clark last month.
