Mormon Wives Reunion: 22 Jaw-Dropping Moments

Buzz Feed3 days ago
🚨CONTENT WARNING🚨
Recently, I began my journey watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Spoiler alert: Their lives are neither secret NOR very Mormon.
Well, much to my dismay (both at the fact that I watched two seasons of a show this fast AND that I even watched it at all), I have reached the dramatic Season 2 reunion that aired last week.
Hosted by none other than Nick Viall, one of the most dramatic men in reality television.
So, without further ado, here's everything I learned while watching the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion.
ICYMI, the Season 2 finale left off with all the girls fighting: Demi was threatening to leave #MomTok, the Marciano/Demi/Jessi cheating scandal was dropped, and overall growing tensions regarding Whitney and...well, everyone else in #MomTok.
This reunion kicked off with a prayer led by Zac:
Quelle surprise.
Demi was not present at the reunion:
Demi apparently had a trip planned to Disneyland with her family, but she did show up on Nick Viall's podcast where she said that the other girls were "afraid" to stand up to Taylor (not her, though!) and that Taylor didn't value the other women of #MomTok. Very easy to say when you're talking to Nick and not on a stage with other cast members, but I digress.
But Jen was:
I still will never get over the fact that her husband, Zac, lied about being related to Ben Affleck.
In the Season 2 finale, Marciano (of Vanderpump Villa) alleged that he hooked up with Demi AND Jessi, however, the #MomTok ladies said that all the flirting only happened with Demi:
Jessi came equipped with receipts in the form of flirty DMs between Marciano and Demi. How she got these screenshots, I do not know, but clearly it's in a Utah woman's nature to get the receipts, proof, timelines and screenshots!
Jessi is no longer wearing her wedding ring and the truth of what happened between her and Marciano + where her and her husband Jordan now stand will be revealed in Season 3:
Talk about epic promo for Season 3!
Taylor provided more clarity on why she came forward in the first place:
Taylor revealed that the reason why she took to TikTok Live to share the soft-swinging scandal was because, while she did cheat on her husband (i.e. engaged sexually with another husband in their group outside of the groups pre-agreed arrangements), that was something that was only being discussed between Taylor and her ex. Once she saw that there were rumors online that she was a "husband stealer", she wanted to set the record straight and provide context regarding their soft-swinging lifestyle.
Layla's sexual journey was a big topic in Season 2 -- she revealed that she's never experienced an orgasm via sex -- and, although she ~engaged~ with Cam, she's still only orgasmed with a vibrator:
Power to Layla for owning her sexuality! I hope she gets a brand deal from this.
Intermission, but Nick stays saying what we're ALL thinking:
It seems like for every rule in the Mormon religion, there are at least three loopholes to that rule.
Not "news," but my God, the relationship between Taylor and Dakota is a MESS:
Not only was Dakota sleeping with other women at the beginning of their relationship (when he told her that he "didn't sleep with multiple girls at once"), he was actively sleeping with another woman (Jenna) while he was committed to Taylor. Most of the infidelity, according to Taylor, came to light AFTER she had their son. Even though they aren't "together" anymore, they are still sleeping with one another. However, Taylor doesn't want to be with Dakota (even though he wants to be with her), because he's hurt her and she can't trust him.
So, regardless of the Stagecoach photos (that have since been deleted from Taylor's Instagram) and them continuing to have sex with one another and co-parenting together, at this stage, Taylor does NOT want to get back together with Dakota:
Nick put it to a vote, who's more accountable, Taylor or Whitney? All of the women (except for Miranda) voted that Taylor took way more accountability than Whitney:
Intermission, the way that the #MomTok husbands are huddled around the TV watching the reunion from the green room like there isn't a couch for them to sit on right there:
CMA-gate was squashed -- Taylor admitted that she was being petty with her post and the other women admitted that it was "weird" but not purposeful that no one engaged with her achievement publicly:
TL;DR, Taylor presented an award at the CMAs in 2024, and none of her fellow #MomTokers publicly showed support immediately after she posted. The women said they shared support and congrats quietly, but when your entire job is based on likes and engagement, it's understandable (not that I agree with how she went about it!) to be upset that your internet posse doesn't show public support for your achievements.
Conner opened up about his pornography addiction and how it stemmed from needing validation which, he believed, was rooted in the fact that he was raped as a child:
I hope that Conner was/is getting the help he needed/needs to work through this! Regardless of the drama that occurred during this reunion, it was beautiful to see the cast put aside their differences and be supportive of Conner in that moment.
Zac Affleck confirmed once, and for all, that he is not related to Ben Affleck:
I don't think anyone was on the fence about this one, but thanks for clearing it up, I guess!
Jen opened up about her struggles with prenatal depression:
Jen revealed that she experienced suicidal ideations at the beginning of her pregnancy but is better now that she's in her third trimester and has since received help.
It's been a couple of months since Zac and Jen made an appearance on #MomTok, but they're in therapy (nine hours a week) to work on themselves and their marriage:
Kudos to them!
However, Demi revealed on The Viall Files that the apology video Jen made for the #MomTok ladies felt "calculated" and "performative":
Ironic to claim that Jen is "running away" when Demi isn't even at the reunion to back up her claim, but I digress.
Allegedly, Demi sent a cease and desist to Jen and Zac when Jen didn't agree to say certain things to the #MomTok ladies that Demi wanted her to regarding Vanderpump Villa:
A lil convenient that Demi isn't present at the reunion, but, once again, I digress!
Layla opened up about her body dysmorphia, self-harm, and suicidal ideations:
Layla revealed that she hasn't self-harmed in a long time and got her scars removed because her children noticed them and she didn't want to tell them that the "owies" were purposeful.
Mikayla opened up about her past sexual assault and how Conner was an integral part of her healing journey:
This is the "closest" Whitney and Mikayla have been in "two years":
Nick Viall encouraged the ladies to hug one another soon after Conner (Whitney's husband) and Mikayla shared their traumatic pasts involving sexual assault.
Last, but not least, we got some Mormon terminology and, can confirm, I will never be the same again:
BONUS! To end on a happy note, Jen and Whitney reveal that they will appear on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars!
Something to tide me over until Season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Charles Reinhart, a Force in Mainstreaming Modern Dance, Dies at 94

Charles Reinhart, who as the longtime director of the American Dance Festival popularized modern and avant-garde dance in the United States and worldwide, died on Saturday in Manhattan. He was 94. The cause was complications of a stroke, his daughter, Ariane Malia Reinhart, said. 'Modern dance was pretty unknown in the 1950s,' he recalled in an interview with Dance Teacher magazine in 2011. 'Even my own family had no idea who Paul Taylor was,' referring to the American choreographer whose dance company was founded in 1954 and whose pioneering work remains in repertory globally. Mr. Reinhart, who considered modern dance an 'indigenous American art form,' would become a pivotal force in bringing it into the mainstream. But early on, even he knew little about the Paul Taylor Dance Company — until he sat in on a rehearsal — after being asked by the founder himself to serve as the company's first manager. 'When they danced 'Aureole,'' he said of seeing Mr. Taylor's most-celebrated work, with its lyrical movement set to music by Handel, 'it was so beautiful and different. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.' The revelation persuaded Mr. Reinhart to accept the manager's role, which he held for six years. Under the banner of Charles Reinhart Management, he went on manage other influential artists, including Meredith Monk, Lucas Hoving and Donald McKayle, and produce some of the earliest modern dance festivals in New York City. But it was as the director of American Dance Festival that Mr. Reinhart had an outlet commensurate with his ambitions. As he told Jack Anderson of The New York Times in 1978, the festival 'is as holy a Mecca as one can find in the dance world.' Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

Big Little Lies Season 3: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on July 12, 2025, 19:30 IST Last updated July 12, 2025, 14:10 IST Fans of Big Little Lies have been eagerly awaiting news about a potential third season since the gripping Season 2 finale aired in 2019. The HBO series, known for its stellar cast, intricate storytelling, and breathtaking Monterey backdrop, has kept viewers hooked with its mix of drama, mystery, and complex female friendships. With recent updates from stars like Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, the buzz around Season 3 is stronger than ever. Here's everything we know so far about Big Little Lies Season 3. Big Little Lies Season 3 Potential Release Date No official release date yet, but we are piecing together the clues. Nicole dropped a hint in April 2024 at the American Film Institute's Gala, saying, 'It's not this year, but next year.' That points to a 2026 premiere, which makes sense if you look at Season 2's timeline—filming started in March 2018, and it hit screens in June 2019, about 15 months later. The big holdup? Liane Moriarty's still working on the book that'll shape Season 3. In October 2024, Reese told E! News , 'We're just waiting on Liane to finish it—she's almost there.' HBO's Francesca Orsi said in March 2025 that Liane's got 150 pages done, and they'll kick things into high gear once the manuscript's complete. Liane's been busy with her 2024 novel Here One Moment , so I'm guessing she'll wrap up the Big Little Lies book by mid-2025. If filming starts late 2025 or early 2026, we could be binge-watching by summer or fall 2026. Fingers crossed! Big Little Lies Season 3 Expected Cast The Monterey Five are the heart of the show, and it sounds like they're all eager to return. Here's who we expect to see, though nothing's locked in yet: Nicole Kidman as Celeste, the grieving widow with a fierce spirit. Reese Witherspoon as Madeline, the fiery mom with a knack for drama. Shailene Woodley as Jane, who's rebuilding her life after trauma. Zoë Kravitz as Bonnie, whose Season 2 confession could shake things up. Laura Dern as Renata, the powerhouse who doesn't mess around. Zoë told ELLE in March 2025, 'I'd be thrilled to get back with everyone—it's such a fun group.' Shailene got fans excited in a December 2023 Harper's Bazaar chat, hinting at how the kids in the show are now teens, which could bring fresh stories. Laura and Reese have also said they're game, with Reese joking to Vanity Fair years ago, 'Let's do this!' Other familiar faces likely to pop up include: Adam Scott as Ed, Madeline's steady husband. Kathryn Newton as Abigail, Madeline's daughter, who told The Hollywood Reporter in February 2024, 'I'm ready—just call me!' Iain Armitage as Ziggy, Jane's son, now a teenager. James Tupper as Nathan, Bonnie's husband. Jeffrey Nordling as Gordon, Renata's ex. Big Little Lies Season 3 Potential Plot The Season 2 finale left us hanging—Bonnie texted the group, ready to confess to pushing Perry down the stairs, and the Monterey Five walked into the police station together. Season 3 will likely pick up there, diving into what happens when their secret comes out. Will Bonnie face legal trouble? How will Celeste cope, knowing Perry's death ties back to her abusive marriage? The story will come from Liane Moriarty's new book, which catches up with the characters years later. Reese mentioned in October 2024 that the kids, like Ziggy and Abigail, are now teens, opening up new drama. Shailene told Harper's Bazaar , 'Those kids aren't little anymore—that's what makes Season 3 so exciting.' I'm picturing teenage rebellion, family secrets, and maybe some new faces stirring things up in Monterey. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Season 2- Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on July 12, 2025, 18:00 IST Last updated July 12, 2025, 10:54 IST Oh, Stars Hollow, how we've missed you! Ever since Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life dropped on Netflix in 2016, fans have been sipping coffee faster than Lorelai Gilmore, hoping for news about a second season. That jaw-dropping finale—Rory's 'I'm pregnant' bombshell—left us all desperate for more. So, what's the latest on Season 2? Here's everything we know so far. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Season 2 Potential Release Date Trying to guess a release date without an official announcement is like predicting Miss Patty's next dance class theme—pure speculation. Some sites, like , tossed out November 2025 as a possible date with four new episodes, but there's no proof to back it up. The first A Year in the Life was announced in January 2016, filmed by spring, and dropped that November. If Season 2 gets the go-ahead in 2025, we might be looking at late 2026 or even 2027, especially since the cast's schedules are busier than Luke's diner on a Friday night. For now, keep your eyes on Netflix's socials for the real scoop. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Season 2 Expected Cast If Season 2 happens, we're crossing our fingers for our favorite Stars Hollow residents. Here's the lowdown on who might return: Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) : Lauren's practically married to Lorelai's fast-talking charm. In a 2021 Collider interview, she said she'd play Lorelai forever if she could. She's teased chats with Amy about new stories, so we're hopeful she's in. Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore) : Alexis has been super quiet about Season 2, but Rory's baby bombshell makes her return a must. In 2017, she and Lauren said no plans were in place, but fans are dying to see Rory as a mom. Scottish Patterson (Luke Danes) : Scott's all about more Gilmore Girls . At the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, he pitched a wild idea: Luke and Lorelai with kids, Jess as their nanny. Sign us up for that chaos! Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore) : Emily's sharp wit stole the show in the revival, and Kelly's memoir, The Third Gilmore Girl , shows she's still tied to the Gilmore world. We'd bet on her coming back. The Stars Hollow Gang: Keiko Agena (Lane Kim), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano), Matt Czuchry (Logan Huntzberger), Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester), Liza Weil (Paris Geller), and Sean Gunn (Kirk Gleason) all popped up in 2016. Amy's said she wants to give Lane a better storyline, so maybe we'll see more of her band or family life. Sadly, Edward Herrmann (Richard Gilmore) passed away in 2014, so Emily's story would keep reflecting that loss. Melissa McCarthy (Sookie St. James) was a cameo queen in the revival due to her packed schedule, but she might sneak in again if the stars align. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life Season 2 Potential Plot That pregnancy cliffhanger has fans losing sleep. Who's the dad? Most signs point to Logan, given Rory's fling with him in the revival, but Amy's keeping mum. Picture Rory juggling motherhood and her career—maybe with a Stars Hollow twist, like babysitting at the Dragonfly Inn. Amy's also got big plans for Lane. She's hinted at feeling Lane's revival arc was too small, so we could see more of her rocking out with Hep Alien or dealing with mom life. Imagine Mrs. Kim mentoring a K-pop group—that's the kind of quirky we need! Lorelai and Luke, now married, deserve some screen time to show off their wedded bliss (or bickering). That 2024 Walmart ad with Lauren, Scott, and Sean as Kirk gave us a taste of their chemistry, and Scott's dreaming of a big wedding party for fans. Emily's arc could dig deeper into her life after Richard, maybe with more of those raw therapy scenes with Lorelai. Reddit fans have tossed out ideas like Emily babysitting Rory's kid, who'd probably have the Gilmore sass dialed up to eleven. It's fun to think about a new generation stirring things up in Stars Hollow. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
