Mormon Wives Reunion: 22 Jaw-Dropping Moments

🚨CONTENT WARNING🚨 Recently, I began my journey watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Spoiler alert: Their lives are neither secret NOR very Mormon. Well, much to my dismay (both at the fact that I watched two seasons of a show this fast AND that I even watched it at all), I have reached the dramatic Season 2 reunion that aired last week. Hosted by none other than Nick Viall, one of the most dramatic men in reality television. So, without further ado, here's everything I learned while watching the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion. ICYMI, the Season 2 finale left off with all the girls fighting: Demi was threatening to leave #MomTok, the Marciano/Demi/Jessi cheating scandal was dropped, and overall growing tensions regarding Whitney everyone else in #MomTok. This reunion kicked off with a prayer led by Zac: Quelle surprise. Demi was not present at the reunion: Demi apparently had a trip planned to Disneyland with her family, but she did show up on Nick Viall's podcast where she said that the other girls were "afraid" to stand up to Taylor (not her, though!) and that Taylor didn't value the other women of #MomTok. Very easy to say when you're talking to Nick and not on a stage with other cast members, but I digress. But Jen was: I still will never get over the fact that her husband, Zac, lied about being related to Ben Affleck. In the Season 2 finale, Marciano (of Vanderpump Villa) alleged that he hooked up with Demi AND Jessi, however, the #MomTok ladies said that all the flirting only happened with Demi: Jessi came equipped with receipts in the form of flirty DMs between Marciano and Demi. How she got these screenshots, I do not know, but clearly it's in a Utah woman's nature to get the receipts, proof, timelines and screenshots! Jessi is no longer wearing her wedding ring and the truth of what happened between her and Marciano + where her and her husband Jordan now stand will be revealed in Season 3: Talk about epic promo for Season 3! Taylor provided more clarity on why she came forward in the first place: Taylor revealed that the reason why she took to TikTok Live to share the soft-swinging scandal was because, while she did cheat on her husband (i.e. engaged sexually with another husband in their group outside of the groups pre-agreed arrangements), that was something that was only being discussed between Taylor and her ex. Once she saw that there were rumors online that she was a "husband stealer", she wanted to set the record straight and provide context regarding their soft-swinging lifestyle. Layla's sexual journey was a big topic in Season 2 -- she revealed that she's never experienced an orgasm via sex -- and, although she ~engaged~ with Cam, she's still only orgasmed with a vibrator: Power to Layla for owning her sexuality! I hope she gets a brand deal from this. Intermission, but Nick stays saying what we're ALL thinking: It seems like for every rule in the Mormon religion, there are at least three loopholes to that rule. Not "news," but my God, the relationship between Taylor and Dakota is a MESS: Not only was Dakota sleeping with other women at the beginning of their relationship (when he told her that he "didn't sleep with multiple girls at once"), he was actively sleeping with another woman (Jenna) while he was committed to Taylor. Most of the infidelity, according to Taylor, came to light AFTER she had their son. Even though they aren't "together" anymore, they are still sleeping with one another. However, Taylor doesn't want to be with Dakota (even though he wants to be with her), because he's hurt her and she can't trust him. So, regardless of the Stagecoach photos (that have since been deleted from Taylor's Instagram) and them continuing to have sex with one another and co-parenting together, at this stage, Taylor does NOT want to get back together with Dakota: Nick put it to a vote, who's more accountable, Taylor or Whitney? All of the women (except for Miranda) voted that Taylor took way more accountability than Whitney: Intermission, the way that the #MomTok husbands are huddled around the TV watching the reunion from the green room like there isn't a couch for them to sit on right there: CMA-gate was squashed -- Taylor admitted that she was being petty with her post and the other women admitted that it was "weird" but not purposeful that no one engaged with her achievement publicly: TL;DR, Taylor presented an award at the CMAs in 2024, and none of her fellow #MomTokers publicly showed support immediately after she posted. The women said they shared support and congrats quietly, but when your entire job is based on likes and engagement, it's understandable (not that I agree with how she went about it!) to be upset that your internet posse doesn't show public support for your achievements. Conner opened up about his pornography addiction and how it stemmed from needing validation which, he believed, was rooted in the fact that he was raped as a child: I hope that Conner was/is getting the help he needed/needs to work through this! Regardless of the drama that occurred during this reunion, it was beautiful to see the cast put aside their differences and be supportive of Conner in that moment. Zac Affleck confirmed once, and for all, that he is not related to Ben Affleck: I don't think anyone was on the fence about this one, but thanks for clearing it up, I guess! Jen opened up about her struggles with prenatal depression: Jen revealed that she experienced suicidal ideations at the beginning of her pregnancy but is better now that she's in her third trimester and has since received help. It's been a couple of months since Zac and Jen made an appearance on #MomTok, but they're in therapy (nine hours a week) to work on themselves and their marriage: Kudos to them! However, Demi revealed on The Viall Files that the apology video Jen made for the #MomTok ladies felt "calculated" and "performative": Ironic to claim that Jen is "running away" when Demi isn't even at the reunion to back up her claim, but I digress. Allegedly, Demi sent a cease and desist to Jen and Zac when Jen didn't agree to say certain things to the #MomTok ladies that Demi wanted her to regarding Vanderpump Villa: A lil convenient that Demi isn't present at the reunion, but, once again, I digress! Layla opened up about her body dysmorphia, self-harm, and suicidal ideations: Layla revealed that she hasn't self-harmed in a long time and got her scars removed because her children noticed them and she didn't want to tell them that the "owies" were purposeful. Mikayla opened up about her past sexual assault and how Conner was an integral part of her healing journey: This is the "closest" Whitney and Mikayla have been in "two years": Nick Viall encouraged the ladies to hug one another soon after Conner (Whitney's husband) and Mikayla shared their traumatic pasts involving sexual assault. Last, but not least, we got some Mormon terminology and, can confirm, I will never be the same again: BONUS! To end on a happy note, Jen and Whitney reveal that they will appear on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars! Something to tide me over until Season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Demi-Leigh Tebow and husband Tim announce arrival of their bundle of joy

Congratulations are in order for former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow and her husband, former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, after they welcomed their first bundle of joy. In a joint post on Monday, the couple shared pictures of their newborn baby girl Daphne Reign. Demi revealed the meaning behind her names, saying Daphne was inspired by her mother's sister who stepped in as a grandmother figure to her growing up. Her second name Reign was inspired by a little girl she and Tim loved deeply for years. 'Here she is — our daughter. Our answered prayer. Daphne Reign Tebow — created in the image of God. Royalty as his princess. Our biggest prayer over her is to reign in God's purpose for her life,' Demi wrote. 'Our daughter is here! We couldn't be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life. We're grateful to the whole medical team that assisted us in the best way possible during my labour and delivery. From our doctor to our nurses and all the hospital staff — we are so grateful and thankful for you. Thank you to everyone who's been praying with us over her arrival. We are incredibly thankful for all of the love and support we've felt.'

Love Islander opens up on diagnosis after brushing off key symptom

Demi's life turned upside down in 2021, when doctors discovered she had thyroid cancer only a year after she starred on Love Island Demi Jones has spoken out about the main symptoms of thyroid cancer, four years after her own battle with the disease. The Love Islander's life turned upside down in 2021 when doctors found a cancerous lump in her neck. After two major surgeries and radioiodine therapy, Demi was fortunately given the all-clear that same year in December. Still, she reflected on the shock of discovering she had cancer after initially dismissing the malignant lump for some time. ‌ "I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer age 22, and this is my story," she said in a fresh Instagram post with beauty retailer, Boots. "Thyroid cancer is when abnormal cells in the thyroid gland start to divide and grow in an uncontrolled way. ‌ "Symptoms of thyroid cancer include hoarseness of the voice, a sore throat, difficulty swallowing and a lump. But, for me personally, I just had a lump on the side of my neck. I first discovered my lump back in 2019 when I was at uni, but I was too busy having fun. "I didn't take it seriously enough. It wasn't until I had messages from strangers and my followers telling me that they could see this lump on my neck, it was that [which] then pushed me to get a doctor's appointment." Demi, 27, explained that doctors initially performed an ultrasound and a blood test before draining some of the lump's fluid. Two weeks later, she was then called back and urged to go for surgery 'almost immediately'. "At this point, I felt really uncertain. I went straight into surgery where they removed half of my thyroid and the lump to test if it was cancerous," she continued. "A couple of weeks later, the doctor called me in. As soon as they said the word 'cancer', I just went into shock. So, I then had to go back in for a second surgery where they removed the rest of my thyroid." Although it's now been four years since Demi's cancer battle, the star said she continues to wear her scar 'very proudly' and is still keen to raise awareness of the disease. In a final plea to fans, she urged: "If you think you have any symptoms of thyroid cancer, please speak to your GP." ‌ Other symptoms of thyroid cancer Besides the three key red flags outlined by Demi, the NHS also acknowledges several other common symptoms of thyroid cancer. These may include: Difficulty swallowing or breathing Pain in the front of the neck/feeling like something is pushing against it Red face/flushing Softer poos or diarrhoea Weight loss Persistent coughing ‌ However, current guidance warns: "These symptoms are very common and can be caused by many different conditions. Having them does not definitely mean you have thyroid cancer. But it's important to get them checked by a GP. "This is because if they're caused by cancer, finding it early may mean it's easier to treat."

The Biggest Bombshells From The Mormon Wives S2 Reunion

*Warning: This article contains themes of sexual assault and abuse that some readers may find triggering.* Anyone who watched season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Disney+ will have a long list of questions after that cliffhanger of a finale. What happened between Demi and Marciano? And, importantly, what happened between Jessi and Marciano? Elsewhere fans were left wondering how Jen and Zac are feeling after stepping back from the show, whether Whitney is back in the group chat, and what's going on between Taylor and Dakota. Thankfully most of these points were addressed by The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast in the season two reunion special, hosted by Nick Viall. If you haven't had a chance to watch it for yourself, here are the biggest bombshells from the episode. The biggest Mormon Wives reunion bombshells Demi wasn't there Demi Engemann, the undisputed 'villain' of season two, did not attend the special. She says filming clashed with a pre-planned family trip to Disney World, which the rest of the girls struggled to believe. Instead, she sat down with Nick Viall for a one-on-one podcast discussion in advance. Clips from the interview, where she addressed some of the biggest storylines in the season, were shown to the rest of the cast. Read on to find out what Demi had to say. The Marciano rumours are addressed head on At the end of the season two, Layla Taylor paid Vanderpump Rules star Marciano Brunette a visit to get to the bottom of the rumours that there was something happening between him and Demi. He then alleged that it wasn't Demi he had an ongoing romance with, but her best friend Jessi Ngatikaura. However, when these questions came up at the reunion, the cast said there was still more to the story. Mikayla says the cast of Vanderpump Villa had presumed the MomTok cast were all swingers because of the origin of the show and claims Demi spent a lot of time flirting with them. Jessi then whipped out 'receipts' to prove Marciano and Demi were flirting. The text conversation showed Demi allegedly sending Marciano sexual emojis and innuendos. Jessi did not have her wedding ring on After the season two bombshell, Jessi revealed she and Jordan are 'working through a lot of hard things'. However, she did not have her wedding ring or engagement ring on, so it looks like the events with Marciano may have taken a toll on their relationship. She was asked point blank by Nick if she'd had sex with Marciano, as he alleged. 'Ummm, so a lot of this story is unpacked in season three so I can't talk about it yet,' she replied. As the husbands waited and watched from backstage, Nick then asked Jessi how she thinks Jordan might be feeling. 'I'm sure he's anxious, nervous, sad,' she said. 'We're both going through a lot right now, but he's willing to tell his truth too. There was a lot more to the story and it's not what you think it is. There are no secrets. We expose it all.' Jessi says Demi is no longer part of the group As her absence might suggest, tension was running high between Demi and the rest of the group when the reunion episode was filmed. Jessi, who was formerly Demi's right hand woman, said no one is currently talking to her. Whitney attempted to jump to her defence and said the girls were mocking her at their group shoot for People magazine and that Demi has just become the 'common enemy'. Layla has had an orgasm 'I've officially become a woman,' she declared after two seasons worth of pressure (or encouragement) to have her first orgasm. Layla revealed it was the work of a vibrator rather than her boyfriend, but she was happy to join the club. Mikayla and Whitney address their beef Despite Whitney being reluctantly voted back into the group at the end of season two, Mikayla has always insisted they will never be friends again. The pair addressed the tension during the episode and Mikayla explained that she opened up to Whitney off camera in season one and was unfollowed a week later when she left MomTok, which is why she can't trust her anymore. Whitney then brought up the Jay-Z party, which was when she asked the girls to bring all the issues they had with her to the table, and then apparently positioned herself as a 'victim of the situation'. At this point, Mayci joined the argument and told Whitney her and Mikayla tried to be there for her when she was going through a hard time with Conner, but she kept insisting they were 'better than ever' so eventually they stopped. Mikayla added that she was going through her own chronic illness struggles at that time, and that Mayci was in the throes of IVF, so they had their own problems to deal with too. Taylor and Dakota are still Taylor and Dakota If one thing is guaranteed to stay the same, it's Taylor and Dakota's toxic love-hate relationship. According to them, they are still following old patterns, but Taylor claims she never wants to be with Dakota again because of how much he has lied, and reportedly continues to lie, to her. Dakota apologised for his behaviour and reinstated that he was addicted to drugs for 10 years and is possibly addicted to toxic relationships and sex in a different way. When asked if he could ever be a faithful partner he said, 'Yes 100%'. Taylor admitted that she finds it hard to break away from Dakota completely, and found it especially hard when their baby was first born. However, she also admitted she has found out 'much more' about the cheating scandal with Jenna which was exposed at start of season two. And even found out new details weeks before the reunion special. All of which is likely to play out next season... Demi shares her thoughts privately with Nick 'There's definitely some things going on with the girls, but I would have been there,' she told Nick on his podcast. 'We had planned a Disney Land trip with my family.' Demi proceeded to lift the lid on her relationships with the girls and claimed everyone but her is scared to stand up to Taylor. After famously calling herself a 'fan favourite' after season one, Demi said Taylor, the founder of MomTok, doesn't give the other cast members enough credit. She said people are scared to confront Taylor because she takes all her arguments online and has a 'cult following' who jump to her defence. When asked about her argument with Jen and the way she refused to back down even after Jen admitted she was suffering with pre-natal depression, Demi did not back down. 'I wish I could say I regret the way I handled that, I don't,' she said. 'There's a humanness to me that thinks "yeah, you were going through something," but we're all going through a lot. It doesn't discredit you lying about people and discrediting their reputation.' 'I don't know if it was the pregnancy or the absence that I felt like she was leaning into that,' she continued, 'as though it was her stepping away for her mental health instead of saying "I'm ashamed". What I saw was her running away from the problem.' Whitney said Demi has 'bully tendencies' The girls were aghast after Demi's comments and all in agreement that she had gone too far, but Whitney defenced her again and said she's not a bully but she has 'bully tendencies'. Jessi then added that the only reason Demi has gotten away with it for so long is 'because she's funny'. DadTok join the Mormon Wives on the sofa The first husband to be questioned was Jordan about the Demi and Marciano allegations. 'I knew what happened because of the conversations I'd had with Jessi,' he explained, 'but it was really tough to have the allegations made that were made.' There is tension between Brett and the other husbands Apparently, they still 'wave at the gym', but are otherwise estranged from Brett because of the divide between Demi and the rest of the group. Conner Leavitt opens up about his past trauma Conner addressed one of the biggest storylines in season one, admitting that he not only has a porn addiction, but he was indeed found on a dating app while married to Whitney, something they had previously denied. However, his explanation was heartbreaking and had several of the cast in tears. Reading a letter he had written at the special, Conner bravely shared his story about being abused during his childhood with the hope of making others feel less alone. 'When I was a little boy, I was raped and when I was finally honest with that emotion and that memory, everything made sense. The validation I needed. I hate that I did that to you but I'm so proud I was able to be honest and start working through some really hard stuff.' He made sure to emphasise that he is not trying to 'flip the script' on Whitney, who he thanked endlessly for her support, but he wants to explain his actions and say that he is seeking help. 'I want to thank everyone here for the sensitivity around the topic. I don't trust myself or my emotions when talking about it. 'I know so many people carry experiences like that even though they may not talk about them. For me, those experiences shaped me and developed truly destructive habits, but they don't define who I am today. What matters is how we grow, how we find resilience and how we support each other moving forward. If anyone is listening has been through something similar, I want them to know I'm sorry. Healing is possible and your story doesn't end with what happened to you.' Jen returns with Zac During a particularly difficult time between Jen and Zac in season two, she found out she was pregnant and decided to step back from filming to focus on her mental health. In the reunion special, she opens up about her pre-natal depression during one of the worst periods of her life. 'I dealt with a lot of suicidal ideation,' she said. 'It was definitely one of the hardest times in my life and I felt like I couldn't turn to anyone. I didn't want anyone to feel like they were the reason. It really just is your body going through so many changes. Without the love I received at that time, I don't know where I'd be.' Jen is still on bad terms with Demi Jen claims that after her argument with Demi about the Vanderpump Villa rumours, Demi and Brett called her while she was in the car with Zac and he recorded the conversation. In the audio, Demi can be heard telling Jen that she should tell people they simply have 'different values' but she 'admires the open and honest communication that Demi and Brett share'. Demi added, 'Say "I may have jumped the gun and judged her" and then you don't have to go into any detail about what may or may not have happened.' Layla opens up about her self-harm struggles Layla made the devastating admission she has attempted to take her own life several times in the past. She has struggled with an eating disorder in the past, which is a theme on the show, as well as self-harm, admitting that she decided to seek help when her sons noticed her scars. Layla has since had her scars removed and says she is well on the path to recovery. Mikayla opened up about past sexual abuse After Conner's admission, Mikayla opened up about her own experiences being abused as a child and revealed Conner had reached out to support her, which she really appreciated. 'I think I physically cannot ignore this,' she explained, adding that Conner encouraged her to go to therapy. 'I know me and Whitney were going through a lot and he wanted me to feel supported from someone who had been through something similar.' This was, of course, another emotional scene, which resulted in Whitney and Mikayla hugging. A sign of healing friendships in season three? Let's see. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 reunion won't feature one key cast member; check who

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has become a favourite among fans, especially those following MomTok. After its dramatic Season 2, the show is set to return with its first-ever reunion special on Tuesday, July 1, at 12 AM ET. It's a Hulu original. The show, which began in September 2024, continues to attract attention for its real-life drama involving Mormon wives and their families. Viewers are eager to see what unfolds in this much-awaited reunion. In this special episode, the cast will come together to discuss shocking moments, reveal secrets and even share never-before-seen footage. Hosted by Nick Viall, the reunion promises drama, gossip and a big surprise announcement. The show's reunion will feature Taylor Frankie Paul, Mayci Neeley, Jen Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, Miranda McWhorter, Layla Taylor, Jessi Ngatikaura, and Whitney Leavitt. However, Demi Engemann, known as the villain of Season 2, will not attend the reunion. Demi explained on Instagram that she had already booked a family trip to Disneyland and couldn't cancel it. Flights and stays were non-refundable. Although she tried to request a new filming date, it wasn't possible. 'It was short notice, and the only day they could get the location secured was the day that my entire family and I went to Disneyland. We had already booked all of our flights, and the Airbnb was nonrefundable, or I would've moved the trip to be there," PEOPLE quoted Engemann as saying. "I tried to have production move it to another day, and they couldn't swing it, sadly," she added. In a recent interview, Leavitt said that, while Demi Engemann was called the villain, every cast member had their own villain moments in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2. 'In the show, naturally, someone's going to be designated as the villain. But everyone in Season 2 had their villainous moments. Like, I wouldn't even consider Demi to be just the villain,' she told DECIDER.
