Elevated brunch, West Texas roots: Brunch and Munch curates class in Odessa
Owners Dustin and Melissa Burns, both Odessa natives, opened the eatery after living in Dallas. While in the Metroplex, they fell in love with the city's brunch culture, an experience they felt was missing back home.
'When we moved back, we wanted to bring something a little bit different,' said Dustin Burns. 'There wasn't really anything like this here when we first opened. We just wanted to create a space where people could come hang out, bring their friends or family, and have a good time.'
Brunch and Munch Eatery and Creperie is located at 818 N County Rd W, Odessa, TX 79763. They're open Wednesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

New 'Stranger Things' LEGO BrickHeadz are here — right in time for the final season
As 'Stranger Things' gears up for its fifth and final season, LEGO has finally brought the OG Hawkins crew to BrickHeadz form. The new LEGO BrickHeadz: Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will Figures (40801) set, available for pre-order as of July 23, is the third installment in LEGO's 'Stranger Things' collection. This 542-piece set builds four BrickHeadz, which is pretty rare considering most BrickHeadz come in single, dual, or five-character packs. But it's fitting for the quartet we first met gathered in a basement at the end of a 10-hour Dungeons & Dragons session when 'Stranger Things' premiered in 2016. Mike Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair and Will Byers are recreated in the signature BrickHeadz blocky style, with just enough detail to be instantly recognizable. Lucas is clearly rocking his camo bandana, while Dustin's Waupaca tee is on full display. The boys of Hawkins get the BrickHeadz treatment ahead of 'Stranger Things' season 5. The set is available for pre-order now and will release on October 1, 2025. There are now 6 total 'Stranger Things' BrickHeadz — the four in this latest collection plus the Demogorgon & Eleven BrickHeadz (40549) set that has since been officially retired. You can buy it on Amazon, but beware, it's heavily marked up for resale. Otherwise, the new collection of Hawkins icons is available for pre-order on now and will launch on October 1, just weeks away from the first part of the 'Stranger Things' final season releasing on Netflix on November 26, 2025. Three more episodes will release on December 25th, 2025, while the series finale drops on December 31st, 2025. While we wait (impatiently) for Season 5 to drop, this is a fun way to revisit the series that took the world by storm. I know I'll be putting together this little display-ready tribute to the crew that started it all. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The First ‘Stranger Things 5' Trailer Will Give You Chills
Stranger Things 5 It's here at last. Netflix dropped the first trailer for the fifth and final season of its smash hit Stranger Things today. It's quite a trailer – probably the most epic we've seen from the series. In it, we see the gang in various locations. The military quarantine of Hawkins, Indiana is ongoing. We open on the WSQK radio building where we see Steve increasing the decibel of a broadcast, perhaps in some attempt to counter the forces of the Upside Down. Or reach someone? We get a glimpse of Eddie Munson's grave. Someone has defaced it with the words BURN IN HELL, either in paint or blood. It appears that Dustin is kneeling in front of the grave. Max is still runnin' up that hill in a coma, with Lucas sitting next to her looking depressed. My theory is that she comes out of the coma at the end of Volume I (the season's release is spread across three parts) and she's a more active player for the rest of the season. Of course, we could also see her in the Upside Down. Deep Purple's 'Child In Time' is playing during the trailer. "Sweet child in time / You'll see the line / The line that's drawn between / Good and bad". We also get a glimpse of Karen and Holly Wheeler holding their breath underwater. They appear to be either hiding or perhaps avoiding a fiery blast (water is better for stopping fire than Upside Down monsters). At one point, we get a very brief shot of Eleven flying. She's more and more the superhero every season, though Season 4 did its best to take her powers away for as long as possible. With Vecna still about, and the rift open in Hawkins, it's clear the gang will need her at the height of her power to stand a chance. At one point she's in a wetsuit that looks kind of like a superhero suit. There's a nice little nod to the original Jurassic Park midway through the trailer. We see Lucas holding Max as demodogs prowl through what appears to be the hospital. Someone in a striped uniform is next to them, but it's impossible to tell who that may be. Finally, we get a look at Vecna, seemingly holding back a blast of fire, perhaps from the flamethrowers we saw earlier in the trailer. 'Found you,' he says in his creepy deep voice. Fans have speculated that Will Byers is actually the one throwing a fireball spell at Vecna, but giving Will powers this late in the game feels weird. It's possible Vecna is producing the fire as well. We see the rest of the gang as well, scattered about the trailer: Mike looking freaked out; Jonathan giving a bit of an inspiring monologue – 'After all we've been through, this thing…it ties us all together forever'; Hopper with David Harbour's Thunderbolts beard on full display. 'Wherever this leads,' he says, 'I need you to fight one last time. Let's end this kid,' he says, pulling pins on a pair of grenades. Nancy, Robin, Joyce, et alia all get little moments here. The plot summary for Stranger Things 5 reads: "The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. "But, he has vanished – his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. "As the anniversary of Will's disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming – and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they've faced before. To end this nightmare, they'll need everyone – the full party – standing together, one last time." I still maintain that Season 1 was the best and that this entire show could have been pretty much perfect with just one season, but I've enjoyed (to a lesser degree) the rest of the show as well, and it's been fun to get to know all the new characters introduced after Season 1. I'm still a little bitter that they killed off Eddie, however. Either way, it's good that it's finally coming to an end before all these kids are in their 30s. What did you think of the trailer? Iconic WWE Gimmick Is Officially Retired For Good
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. AEW star Dustin Rhodes has made it clear that his iconic "Goldust" character is permanently retired. He also stated that he has no desire for another match against his brother, WWE's Cody Rhodes. Rhodes delivered the news to fans on social media. He responded to suggestions about bringing back the "Bizarre One" and stepping in the ring with his brother one more time. 'Goldust Is Retired' A fan on the social media platform X suggested a unique faction idea. The fan proposed a team-up of Goldust, Cody Rhodes' old "Stardust" character, and AAA star Mr. Iguana. Dustin Rhodes politely but firmly shut down the idea. He noted he is happy with his current position in AEW. "Goldust is retired. Sorry. Happy where I am at," Rhodes responded. Dustin famously shed the Goldust persona for his emotional debut match in AEW against Cody in 2019. He currently holds the ROH World Tag Team Championship with his "Sons of Texas" partner, Sammy Guevara. WWE/Getty Images No More Matches With Cody Rhodes Dustin also addressed calls for a third match against his brother. He has recently expressed great pride in Cody's success since his return to WWE. When a fan suggested their story wasn't over until they had another match, Dustin disagreed. He explained that their classic 2019 encounter should not be revisited. He stated that he has no interest in having another match because he doesn't want to "touch something so magical." The Legacy Of Rhodes Vs. Rhodes The match Dustin refers to is his bloody and emotional battle with Cody at the inaugural AEW Double or Nothing event in 2019. The match was critically acclaimed and is considered by many to be one of the best in AEW history. That performance helped establish the tone for the new promotion. It also served as a major career-defining moment for Dustin outside of the Goldust character. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation The Goldust character is one of WWE's most enduring and versatile gimmicks. Debuting in 1995, the provocative and androgynous "Bizarre One" used psychological mind games and unsettling mannerisms to get under the skin of his opponents and the audience, pushing creative boundaries during the Attitude Era. Over several decades, the character evolved dramatically. He became the comedic "Artist Formerly Known as Goldust" and later formed a beloved, fan-favorite tag team with Booker T. This ability to transform from a controversial, boundary-pushing heel to a comedic babyface cemented Goldust as a truly unique and legendary gimmick.
