CID fans have a reason to celebrate! The much-loved crime drama show has brought back the beloved character Shraddha Musale in the forensic department. As the actress reprises her role as Dr Tarika in season 2, she shared her excitement about returning to the show. Shraddha also gave some insights about the surprise elements in the upcoming episodes.
During an interaction with ETimes, Shraddha shared what made her join the show so late. She revealed, 'CID had already begun a few months ago, and I had always wanted to return. But I was quite busy with my startup and was constantly travelling to Dubai for the same. Once I got some breathing space and returned, things just aligned. It felt natural, like the right time, and it just happened."
Revealing what fans can expect in the upcoming episodes, she said, 'Fans will surely get to see more of Inspector Abhijeet and Dr Tarika. In fact, we have already shot a few scenes together in the first couple of episodes. I hope the audience enjoys watching us together as much as we enjoy working together. That chemistry is something even we cherish."
On being asked if her character is any different from the first season that audience remember, she elaborated, 'Dr Tarika is still the beloved character that people know and remember, but she has definitely evolved. She has pursued higher studies and has become a specialist in her field. So this time, she returns as a senior and more experienced forensic expert."
Spilling beans about a surprise element, Shraddha stated, 'Dr Tarika has been in another profession too, before returning to the CID bureau. It is the same Tarika, but with more maturity, depth, and surprises. What had me excited was the opportunity of working with the same cast and crew. That bond, that comfort, and that sense of belonging we share, it's rare."
Expressing her happiness of returning to the show, she said, 'Walking back into that environment felt like home, and of course, stepping back into Tarika's shoes made it even more special."
Talking about CID 2, the latest season is winning hearts with its gripping storyline.
Besides Shraddha, the star cast includes Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava, Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta, and Janvi Chheda.
