Man and woman sought in assault on bus in Toronto's east end: police
Toronto police are searching for a man and woman wanted in connection with an assault on a TTC bus in the city's east end.
Police said on June 28 at around 11:40 p.m., officers were called to the area of Cosburn and Broadview avenues for a reported assault on a TTC bus.
Police allege that two suspects approached a male on the bus and started yelling at him. According to police, the victim was assaulted and pushed out of the bus.
The suspects, police said, fled the scene and headed east on Cosburn Avenue.
Investigators described the victim's injuries as serious but not life-threatening.
The first suspect is described by police as about 30 years old, six-foot-three, and has a skinny build with long, light brown hair. He was seen wearing a white tank top with a blue short-sleeve collared shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.
The second suspect, police said, is approximately 30 years old, five-foot-three, and has a medium build, and long brown hair. She was spotted wearing glasses, a white tank top, and black shorts.
Police have now released images of the two suspects.
'Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police,' investigators said in a news release issued this week.

Police said K9 and aviation units were involved in the search. Ticonderoga also is about 250 miles (400 kilometres) north of New York City in a popular resort area in the Adirondack Mountains. 'As the case progressed, law enforcement identified inconsistencies in the father's account of events and the timeline he provided,' state police said in a statement. 'At this time, there is no indication that an abduction occurred, and there is no threat to the public,' the agency added. The agency did not elaborate. Law enforcement officials said a news conference is scheduled for Monday. Luciano Frattolin's whereabouts weren't clear late Sunday. Frattolin, 45, did not immediately respond to requests for comment sent via LinkedIn, Instagram and his company website. Frattolin describes himself as a 'loving father' on his Instagram profile. On the website of a coffee company said to be founded by Frattolin, a post says that his daughter Melina is 'the light of his life.' 'She is the inspiration for … well, everything,' it added.

Northern Ont. woman charged in two armed robberies at a convenience store
A 39-year-old local woman has been arrested and charged in connection with two armed robberies at a convenience store in the 300 block of Oliver Road in Thunder Bay, Ont., last month. The Thunder Bay Police Service's Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery (BEAR) Unit led the investigation after the suspect allegedly stole merchandise from the business on June 24. 'When confronted by a staff member, the suspect brandished a weapon and made threats,' police said in a news release. Linked to second incident Further investigation revealed the same suspect was involved in a similar robbery at the same location only the day before. On July 17, members of the BEAR Unit, with assistance from other officers, located and arrested the woman at a residence on Windsor Street. The accused is charged with two counts of robbery with a weapon. She appeared in court on Friday and was remanded into custody, with a future court date scheduled.
