Charli xcx Strips to Her Underwear & Vandalizes Her Own Billboard in ‘Party 4 U' Music Video

Yahoo22-05-2025
Charli xcx is a party of one in her new music video for 'Party 4 U,' which finds the star revisiting a fan-favorite track from 2020 while spending a day by herself in the middle of nowhere before things get wildly out of control.
In the visual released Thursday (May 15) — the five-year anniversary date of Charli's How I'm Feeling Now album, which features 'Party 4 U' — the Essex native starts out inside a house on the morning after a big blowout, with empty bottles, balloons and an abandoned birthday cake strewn around the rooms. She steps out in a polka-dot dress, occasionally dragging on a cigarette, while walking down a sun-bleached blacktop road out in the country, eventually deciding to strip her clothes off and make the rest of the trek in her white bra and underwear.

As the momentum of 'Party 4 U' builds, Charli at last unleashes her inner rage when coming across a billboard of herself. After tearing up the enormous poster's canvas with her hands and splashing black paint across her own enlarged face, she lights it on fire and walks away as flames burn down the advertisement.
'Only threw this party for you, for you, for you/ I was hoping you would come through,' she sings on the emotionally charged electronic pop track. 'I'm about to party on you/ Watch me, watch me party on you.'
The visual comes a full half-decade after Charli originally released 'Party 4 U' and How I'm Feeling Now in 2020. Five years later — and only after she experienced a career breakthrough in 2024 with critically acclaimed album Brat — the track has seen a streaming resurgence thanks to newfound TikTok virality, debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in May.
To make the most of the song's unexpected renaissance, and to celebrate the anniversary of her fourth studio album, Charli teamed up with director Mitch Ryan to shoot a music video for 'Party 4 U' 'I really can't believe that 5 years later one of the Angel favorites is having its own special moment,' she explained in a handwritten letter on Instagram teasing the visual one day prior. 'So obviously I wanted to do something to celebrate … This one's for you Angels.'

Ozzy Osbourne's unique, but fitting final business ventures — including cans laced with his DNA

Can Ozzy Osbourne be resurrected? If you'd like to give it a try, purchase a can of this while supplies last. The legendary 'Prince of Darkness' who died on Tuesday at 76 partnered last month with Liquid Death – the canned water brand known for its heavy metal aesthetic – to sell special-edition cans of iced tea. The major, head-banging twist: These cans purportedly bear traces of Osbourne's DNA. 4 Ozzy Osbourne crushing a can of Liquid Death iced tea. Liquid Death The ad pitch from Liquid Death claims the 'Iron Man' singer drank and then crushed 10 cans of its iced tea, leaving behind 'trace DNA from his saliva.' 'Now, when technology and federal law permits, you'll be able to replicate Ozzy Osbourne and enjoy him for hundreds of years into the future,' the company said. 'DNA integrity and cloning results not guaranteed,' the company added. With Osbourne's signature on each package, the cans originally sold out quickly at $450 a pop – but that price soared as high as $4,655 for a resale on eBay after his death on Tuesday. 'Ozzy Osbourne is 1 of 1. But we're selling his actual DNA so you can recycle him forever,' Liquid Death said of the collaboration, which is called 'Infinitely Recyclable Ozzy.' 4 Three crushed cans with Ozzy Osbourne's signature – and apparent traces of his DNA. The Black Sabbath frontman also partnered with UK-based Jolie Beauty earlier this month on a limited-edition makeup collection with the moniker 'I'm Going Through Changes'. It included makeup brushes with black and red bristles, a hand mirror that looks like a vinyl record and lip products and eye glitters with shade names like 'Bloodbath,' 'Nightmare' and 'Hellraiser.' These weren't Osbourne's first unconventional partnerships. 4 Ozzy Osbourne performing during the half-time show at the 2022 NFL season opening game. Osbourne died 'surrounded by love,' his family said in a statement to The Post shortly after his death on Tuesday. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,' said the statement from his wife Sharon and four of his six kids – Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis. 4 Ozzy Osbourne's eyeshadow palette with makeup brand Jolie Beauty. Osbourne was known for his outrageous behavior – allegedly biting the head off a dove during a 1981 record company meeting and allegedly doing the same to a bat during a 1982 show in Iowa. The metal icon reportedly snorted a line of ants while on tour in the 1980s, according to documentary 'The Dirt,' and was arrested for urinating on the Cenotaph, a landmark at the Alamo in Texas. His antics only fed his legendary career as Sabbath's lead singer, a successful solo artist and star of the reality TV series 'The Osbournes,' which ran from 2002 to 2005.
