Kate Middleton makes 3-word quip about son Louis while out with Prince William
And when the young royals do step out with their parents, the youngest's personality is usually on display.
Middleton and William share three kids together, 11-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte and 7-year-old Prince Louis.
During this year's Trooping the Colour in June, Louis was seen showcasing that personality as his big brother George kept him in line.
Charlotte and Louis went viral during 2024's Trooping the Colour when Louis was seen dancing and Charlotte demanded he pay attention.
And although his older siblings are often correcting Louis, Kate seems to embrace her youngest child's personality.
While visiting with French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, on Tuesday, July 8, the famous couples toured the Royal Collection on display at Windsor Castle, People reported. And Louis was on Kate's mind.
Inside the Green Drawing Room sat a portrait of a young King Louis XIV. King Louis XIV ruled France from 1643 until 1715.
While looking at the portrait of the former ruler, Hello! Magazine reported that Kate cracked a joke about her son with the same name and her degree, saying 'I should know.'
Middleton has a degree in art history from the University of St. Andrews, according to the National Arts Program.
As Hello! Magazine reports, Middleton has 'a keen eye for portraiture.'
Kate and William delighted fans on Louis' 7th birthday in April when they not only shared a new portrait of the young prince, but also a video that again showcased his personality that the public loves so much.
'Wishing Prince Louis a very Happy 7th Birthday,' the family wrote on their official account.
After sharing the traditional new photograph, they went on to share the video seemingly starting a new tradition.
The video highlighted Louis' personality, his adventurous side and his smile.
Alongside film emojis, Kate and William simply captioned the video, '7 today!'

The incident unfolded Wednesday at Kis Cafe in Hayes Valley, when 'micro-influencer' @itskarlabb described how she had pre-arranged a collab with the restaurant's team and showed up early to film content, according to a video she posted to her platform. 3 Influencer @itskarlabb was allegedly belittled by top chef Luke Sung over her supposedly low follower count, leaving her running from his new California restaurant in tears. itskarlabb/tiktok The influencer, known as Karla, claimed that a man — later identified as celebrated James Beard Award-nominated chef and co-owner Luke Sung — questioned her 15,000-follower count and told staff it was a 'mistake' to invite an influencer so small. 'I know they're talking about me, because I can hear them saying 'TikTok, views, followers' ,' she said in a later video, which has racked up more than 20 million views. The influencer said that when she introduced herself, Sung grilled her over whether she had researched the restaurant, a wine bar serving small bites. She insisted she knew the menu and the vibe, but Sung disagreed and began scrolling through her TikTok feed at full volume within earshot, the influencer said. 'After scrolling like, two times, he says to me that he doesn't think my videos are at the level which he wants his restaurant represented,' she recalled. 'Our chef's behavior was unacceptable, and he is no longer a part of the team,' Kis Cafe wrote in an Instagram post Thursday. The restaurant said it has now temporarily closed to 'restructure.'
