Aamir Khan, also known as the perfectionist, is currently making headlines due to his recent release Sitaare Zameen Par. Aamir's movie turned out to be a decent hit, and so far, the movie has collected ₹200 crore worldwide. Apart from his professional life, a few months ago, Aamir made headlines for personal reasons when he revealed that he is dating someone. For the uninitiated, Aamir was married twice. His first wedding was with Reena Dutta, whereas the second time, he got married to Kiran Rao. Currently, Aamir is dating Gauri Spratt, who is from Bengaluru.
Aamir has always been open about his relationships. He also revealed that when his first divorce with Reena happened, it took a toll on his mental health. Aamir was hardly 21 when he tied the knot with Reena Dutta. Now, in a recent interview, Aamir shared details of his wedding and how a Pakistani cricketer spoiled his wedding day for him. Cricketer Who Ruined Aamir Khan's Wedding Day With Reena Dutta?
Reena Dutta's parents were never in favour of Aamir and their daughter's relationship. Hence, the duo ran away and got married. But when they returned, they pretended that nothing had happened.
He said, 'Mujhe laga sab puchenge kahaan the itni der (We thought our families would question us about being so late).' However, luckily for them, the day Aamir and Reena had their court marriage, it was an India-Pakistan match, and everyone was so engrossed in it that nobody even noticed they were not at home.
Surprisingly, the match put Aamir in depression. He said, 'It was India-Pakistan match day. The same match where Javed Miandad hit a six on the last ball. We were winning that match, so nobody cared to ask us about our absence for so long. I too joined them and was watching cricket, however, Javed's six ruined it all. Once I happened to meet him on a flight, I told him, 'Javed bhai aapne theek nahi kiya. Aapne meri shadi barbaad kardi (You didn't do the right thing. You ruined my wedding).' He was like, 'Kaise? (How?)' I said, 'Usi din aapne chakka mara tha. Depression mein chala gaya tha mai. (That day, you hit a six. I went into depression.)''
Later, when Reena Dutta's parents learned about their secret wedding, they were deeply upset with her. Her father even suffered a heart attack. However, this incident eventually brought the families closer, and Reena's family accepted their marriage.

Metro In Dino Box Office Preview: Anurag Basu directorial run time, screen count, advance booking, & opening day

After Barfi and Jagga Jasoos, director Anurag Basu is back on the big screen with Metro In Dino, which is a spiritual sequel to Life In A Metro. The film is an anthology with a strong ensemble Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Saswata Chatterjee. The film has been certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved run time of 2 hours and 42 minutes. Metro In Dino is seeing an All-India release by Anil Thadani, who is set to bring the film on about 2000 screens, with showcasing largely catering to the multiplexes in urban belts. The Anurag Basu directorial has secured better/similar showcasing than a giant like Jurassic World in national chains like PVRInox, & Cinepolis, which is a big win from distribution point of view for the feature film. However, despite higher showcasing in the chains, the pre-sales are not up-to the mark. A tighter release would have been better approach for a film of this genre, as it looks like an urban film catering to the elite audience. As on Thursday at 6 PM, Metro In Dino has sold 9500 tickets in the top three national chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis. The film will be looking to close with pre-sales around the 16,500 to 17,500 ticket mark, which is not so good for a film made on this budget. The first day of the Anurag Basu directorial is expected to be in the range of Rs 3.75 crore to Rs 4.25 crore, and the hope is on the word of mouth to kick in from there, and lead to bigger spikes in business on Saturday and Sunday. The film should be hoping to double up on Saturday, stabilize on Sunday, followed by a Monday similar to Friday to have a shot at emerging a success story. Metro In Dino would have opened better by at-least 25 to 30 percent if the music landed as well as the first part, but apart from Zamana Lage, nothing has really hit the bullseye so far.

FWICE lifts ban on Diljit Dosanjh amid Sardaarji 3 backlash, allows him to shoot for Border 2; Ashoke Pandit says, 'Non-cooperation continues'

Diljit Dosanjh has silenced rumours of his removal from Border 2 by posting a behind-the-scenes video straight from the film's set. In the Instagram clip, the Punjabi singer-actor is seen stepping out of his vanity van wearing an Indian Air Force uniform, complete with insignia, before heading onto the set. The visual confirmation comes after weeks of speculation and industry chatter suggesting Diljit had been dropped from the film. Reports had gained momentum amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Sardaar Ji 3, which stars Diljit opposite Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. The backlash had escalated after the film was released outside India on June 27 but not domestically, given heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack. FWICE lifts ban after Bhushan Kumar's intervention The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), which had earlier issued a non-cooperation order against Diljit, has now lifted the ban. FWICE President BN Tiwari told India Today that producer Bhushan Kumar personally appealed to the federation, requesting that Diljit be allowed to shoot for Border 2. "Yes, the ban has been revoked for this project," Tiwari confirmed. However, the decision isn't without dissent within the federation. Ashoke Pandit says non-cooperation continues Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, who is also associated with FWICE, maintained a contradictory stance. 'So, we have non-cooperation against Diljit continuing,' he said. 'Anyone else who casts him must be prepared for consequences. The Federation won't be responsible for the financial losses that might follow.' While he acknowledged that there are no Pakistani actors in Border 2, Pandit argued that the nature of the film—a patriotic drama centered on India's armed forces—makes Diljit's previous collaboration with a Pakistani artist all the more sensitive. Diljit Dosanjh's Powerful Border 2 Comeback | Shuts Down Exit Rumours With Army Look FWICE had earlier urged makers to drop Diljit from the film Just days before the BTS video surfaced, FWICE had written a strongly worded letter to the makers of Border 2, urging them to cut ties with the actor. 'Your involvement risks sending a deeply conflicting message,' the letter read, stressing that artistic and commercial priorities should not override national sentiment. It added, 'Upholding the dignity of our industry and the nation must remain paramount.' Border 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 1997 war epic Border, is being helmed by Kesari director Anurag Singh. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Sunny Deol , Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and now confirmed once again, Diljit Dosanjh. It is being jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta.
