Fuel Shortage Crisis Worsens Suffering of Hospitals in Gaza Strip - Jordan News

Fuel Shortage Crisis Worsens Suffering of Hospitals in Gaza Strip The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated on Saturday that the ongoing fuel shortage required to operate hospital generators remains at an unprecedented and critical level. اضافة اعلان In a statement, the ministry warned of the worsening crisis and the severe exhaustion of the healthcare system, particularly the few hospitals still functioning in the Gaza Strip. The ministry emphasized that the increasing number of critical injuries has intensified the need to ensure continuous generator operation in order to keep vital departments running. It noted that the Israeli occupation deliberately allows only insufficient amounts of fuel to enter, falling short of hospital needs. It added that relying on temporary and emergency solutions means life-saving departments are at risk of complete shutdown. Hospital engineering teams continue to operate beyond capacity to keep generators functioning and enforce fuel-saving measures that have now become ineffective. The ministry appealed to concerned parties to intervene and pressure the Israeli occupation to allow the entry of sufficient fuel supplies needed to keep hospital generators operational. — (Petra)

Within the past 24 hours, 70 martyrs and 332 injuries were recorded, including 23 individuals who were killed while attempting to secure humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of 'bread-seekers' killed to 743, with 4,891 wounded during aid-seeking incidents.
