Mark Wahlberg hails Scots brothers rowing the Pacific as ‘warriors'
Earlier in June, the Perfect Storm star had video-called them to say their record-breaking bid 'could be a movie'.
In his latest call, the 53-year-old actor said he would keep in touch with the trio as they make their way across the globe, hailing them as 'f****** warriors'.

He said: 'You guys are bored. You need someone to talk to. You need someone to, you know, give you a little pump up. Let me know. I'm available.'
Wahlberg joked: 'Well, you know what would make me a legend? Playing one of you guys, or all three, in a movie. There've been a few actors who've played twins before, but I could maybe play all three of you, change up my look a little bit.'
He added: 'You guys are doing something that's so extraordinary. It's another level. This is real man shit you're doing. You're out there with big smiles on your faces, pounding away, while everybody else is lying in bed in dreamland, nice and dry, and still waking up complaining about something.
'You're not doing this for attention – you're doing it to raise attention for a very worthy cause. You guys are real men. You're f****** warriors. It's incredible.
'Hopefully, you'll inspire other people to find something important to do to raise awareness. It's awesome, guys.'

As well as aiming to set a record for the fastest row across the world's largest ocean, the brothers are hoping to raise £1 million for clean water projects in Madagascar.
So far they have raised more than £125,000.
Challenges experienced by the brothers so far include salt sores, relentless weather, a broken water maker and a faulty auto helm.
Their 28ft (8.5m) carbon fibre boat, Rose Emily, is named in memory of their late sister.
It has no engine and no sail and the brothers are powering their way across the ocean in two-hour shifts.

Ewan McGregor vows to join record-breaking brothers on water after epic Pacific challenge
Brothers Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean are currently aiming to row 14,000km from Peru to Australia and have been backed by actor Ewan McGregor. Ewan McGregor has backed a trio of brothers aiming to raise £1million on a record-breaking row across the Pacific - and vowed to join them on the water when they return to Scotland. Brothers Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean are currently aiming to row 14,000km from Peru to Australia in a boat they built themselves - faster than anyone ever has before. Last weekend marked 100 days of their non-stop, unsupported row to raise money for clean water projects in Madagascar. In a chat with the brothers, McGregor has now revealed plans to join the Maclean Brothers for a row on their return to Scotland, inspired by their extraordinary ocean crossing. The A-list actor told how he had dreamed of an ocean journey ever since reading about early solo circumnavigations of the globe. "I've no idea what it feels like to be where you are now," he told the brothers in a call from London, "but I've always dreamed about it. "The documentary you made about crossing the Atlantic was fantastic. I thought it was brilliant. I watched it because I've got a little plan. "I'm not particularly interested in breaking records or being the first person to do something. I think that's all amazing and great. But where is adventure in our time, when most things have already been done?" "What I'd like is to find out what it feels like. And I'm sure where you are right now is as close to the pinnacle of adventure as you can get - because you're just out there on your own, the three of you. "There's no help if you need it. You're totally self-reliant. It's so fucking impressive. I'm really inspired by the three of you. It's incredible." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! On Sunday, Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean marked 100 days since leaving Peru on a rowing boat set for Australia. Now approaching Fiji, this crossing has been incredibly tough as they navigate salt sores, sleep deprivation, horrendous weather and isolation. It's all to raise £1M for clean water projects in Madagascar. The Trainspotting and Star Wars star shared with them a story from Norway, where a young fan approached him and Charley Boorman to thank them for their films. He said: "This guy in his early 20s came up to us and said, 'I watched your show lying on my dad's lap when I was a kid - and that's why I'm doing this.' We couldn't believe how old it made us feel. But I just love it." He added "In this world where we're increasingly just looking down at our phones, I love the idea of encouraging people to get out and see it." The conversation - during which McGregor quizzed the brothers on everything from energy sources to toilet tactics - began with Jamie playing McGregor Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. Jamie, 31, also confided in Ewan about his nerves over playing the pipes on arrival in Australia - just as they did when they arrived in Antigua when the brothers broke three world records crossing the Atlantic Ocean in 2020. "I'm more worried about my lips going," he said. "By the time we get to Australia, we'll have rowed halfway around the world. If I can't play them when we arrive, it's a bit of a disaster. Just dribbling down my front." The call ended with a promise. "When we finally make it home," said middle brother Jamie, "because we will be bringing the boat back to Scotland - let's go for a row, if you're up for it. Loch Lomond, the west coast - wherever you're based." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. "I'd absolutely love that." The brothers' 28ft carbon fibre boat, Rose Emily, is named in memory of their late sister. As it has no engine and no sail, the brothers are pulling their way across the ocean in two-hour shifts. The trio from Edinburgh broke records in January 2020, when they became the first three brothers to row across any ocean, and the youngest and fastest trio to row across the Atlantic ocean in their 35 day trip. Now, in a journey they have called the Rare Whisky 101 Pacific Row, they hope to become the quickest to cross the Pacific in just 120 days - 42 days quicker than the current record. The brothers have raised around £218,000 so far.

A source told The Sun: 'Jamie was taken to hospital after an accident in the villa. 'He stepped on a screw in the garden and after chatting to the villa medics they made the decision to take him to hospital. 'Filming was briefly paused and everyone was really worried as it's quite rare anyone gets taken out of the villa. 'But after the garden was searched for any more loose screws Jamie returned all bandaged up. 'He was fine to walk - bosses were worried he'd be seen out of the villa and exposed to the outside world but it was actually fine.' The electrical engineer has since returned to filming and will be seen parting in the show's first ever Love Island Festival on the ITV2 show tonight. When entering the Casa Amor villa, Jamie only had eyes for villa favourite Yasmin. They hit it off, and are now one of the favourites to win the show, according to the bookies. Fellow bombshell Yasmin, from London, entered the show in episode five and quickly won a legion of fans for standing up to the boys for playing them at their own game. Love Island fans convinced star is AI bot in bizarre conspiracy theory She became known as YasGPT thanks to her calm but direct attitude and perfect posture. It is heavily speculated that the official Love Island live final will be on Monday August 4, which means fans have around three weeks until the series reaches its climax. But Maya Jama is returning to the villa tonight and not everyone will be pleased to see her, as she will be telling the cast that THREE people are being dumped. Viewers will watch as she tells the Islanders the public have been voting for their favourite couple - which will mean a pair will go home. However, there is a twist as a third person will also be axed which leaves the villa horrified and in tears. The Sun revealed earlier today that the trio includes a girl who has been involved in a lot of villa drama. A source said: 'Love Island fans know a dumping usually follows a favourite couple vote and it often happens during format points like themed parties - so there's no surprise in that. 'But the fact a third islander got the boot is a real shock twist and it left the cast horrified and in tears. 'They thought the cull was over after a couple were shown the door. 'The trio includes a girl who has been a big part of this year's most dramatic moments.' 5 Maya looks stunning in her racy outfit in tonight's episode Credit: Shutterstock Editorial

MAFS Australia star Jamie Marinos says Dave split was 'real kick in the teeth'
Married at First Sight Australia star Jamie Marinos opened up about her time on the E4 show, and the romance rumours with Eliot Donovan Married at First Sight Australia star Jamie Marinos has divulged more about her time on the show, and where her and Dave are now. The former E4 bride opened up during a chat on Lorraine's ITV breakfast show on Tuesday, July 22. She explained why she felt the breakdown of her and Dave's relationship after their on-screen marriage was a "kick in the teeth" at the time. However, she also explained she's not opposed to reconnecting with him if they had a chance at rekindling a friendship one day. Jamie also lifted the lid on her alleged romance with co-star Eliot Donovan as she chatted to Christine Lampard. The pair sparked romance rumours following filming on the show, as they were snapped out and about together appearing to enjoy a lot of one-on-one time. Revealing why she chose to go on the Australian reality show, Jamie said: "I have always loved MAFS - it's just crazy. It's the one reality television show that I feel Australia does right, which we don't have many of… MAFS was always crazy and so I just thought why not?" She continued: "I mean it surely was better than whatever I was selecting myself. I was like I can't do it, so I am going to let three experts find me a husband and I honestly went in thinking I am going to have it all. I am going to walk out with my man, have my babies - it didn't plan out that way, but that's okay." Opening up about the moment that her relationship with Dave Hand came to its end, Jamie said: "That was a real kick to the teeth. When they say that the carpet's ripped out from under you, that's exactly what it felt like because no one saw it coming. I remember looking around at production, cameramen, cast, and no one could make sense of it. Everyone was so shocked. "He wasn't giving any indication even in his private camera moments, so it came out of nowhere. At that point, I felt that heartbreak and I knew public humiliation was about to come my way too and just overall rejection. I think it was a really tough time for me but then there is a lot of beauty in the lessons you learn and the strength that you acquire." Confirming that she has not been in touch with Dave since the show, Jamie said: "No contact, but I think it's for the best. We both needed to protect our own peace and find our own happiness. I'm not closed off from reconnecting as friends in the future because we did share a really unique experience, but at the moment, no contact." Addressing the relationship rumours with her co-star Eliot Donovan, Jamie told viewers: "Eliot and I, look we definitely fell into a flirtationship. I was very much off the market during airing, I didn't want anyone to know that Dave and I didn't work out because we were such a love story. And then, kind of as soon as I was like, 'I'm free and single', Eliot and I's friendship definitely developed. We kind of explored something a little bit more. It's a bit complicated being in two different states so what we did want to focus on is the friendship because it's a really beautiful friendship."
