Bok Women ooze optimism while sharing their expertise in Zwide
The national team are coming off the back of a 50-20 defeat at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria at the weekend and have been in constant training and preparation ahead of their second Test against Canada at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
But the Bok Women found time in their busy schedule to run a training workshop in the backyard of men's double World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi, as the youths got the opportunity to run drills with the team and get a feel for what to expect in a competitive rugby environment.
The Boks' socially responsible presence is always felt in inner-city communities, where effective communication encourages the youth to pursue sports and interact with South African heroes.

'A big thing in our team is to promote rugby, to grow rugby for girls and for boys.
'Being out here today having loads of girls and boys here, this is why we play rugby, for days like this.
'The girls here, the boys here, they are the future of rugby.
'If you have a dream, follow your dream, work as hard as possible and also surround yourself with people who have similar goals as you, and that will help you.'
Under the experienced captaincy of Nolusindiso Booi, the Boks have their eyes set on the Canada game with great optimism while looking to gain as much preparation as possible to guarantee a fortifying run at the Women's World Cup in August.

Though Thursday's matches could alter things, it does seem to be boiling down to a showdown between SACD A and Northerns A in the final round on Friday. EP may feel disappointed at the final outcome, but they must receive accolades in abundance for pushing Northerns all the way. Excellent wins by Sips Mpini and Dean Venter meant there was not going to be an easy route to victory for Northerns as the No 1s took the court for the decider. But finally, in front of a packed crowd, Groenewald underlined his class to secure the win. In the women's Kaplan Cup, Northerns A and Cape Fruit SA Country Districts A remain locked in a battle for supremacy after decisive wins on Wednesday. As the country's prestigious team tournament moves into the business end, Northerns cruised past Joburg Squash 20-1 and the SACD outfit defeated defending champions Western Province A 17-3. With two days remaining, just four points separate the two sides, while hosts Eastern Province A, who lost to SACD on Tuesday, put themselves back in the picture with a hard-earned win over Border A. EP's 19 points from that encounter lifted them to 52 points overall, just one point behind SACD, while Northerns lead with 57 points. The key matches will take place in the last two rounds, with EP facing Northerns on Thursday and then Northerns and SACD clashing in the final showdown on Friday. The host province will round off their programme with a tricky encounter against WP. EP did not have it all their own way against their neighbours Border and could easily have gone down 2-0 after the first two matches. From staring defeat in the face against EP No 3 Janet Byrnes, young Kelly Emslie saved several match points to level the tie by winning the fourth game 12-10 and then swept through the fifth 11-5 for an impressive win. In the next match, Border No 4 Kate van Biljon led Anlen Jarman 2-1 before her experienced opponent showed tremendous resolve to hold on for a 3-2 result. That lifted EP spirits and the victory was completed by the skills of Bianca Keeley and Jacqui Ryder as they secured wins in straight games to give their team the major portion of the points on offer. Graaff-Reinet Raptors earn tickets to world championships
Graaff-Reinet Raptors, led by Sensei Aletta van den Bosch, made their mark at the recent Mixed Martial Arts SA Championships and will represent the country in the WKA World Championships in April or May 2026. The prestigious event brought together 690 young athletes from four provinces, underlining the diverse and growing nature of SA's MMA community. Fighting under the banner of Kosa (Kickboxing and MMA of SA), the Eastern Cape emerged as the top-performing province, claiming first place overall. Among the standout performers were three of the athletes from the Graaff-Reinet Raptors, who represented not just their club but their province and age divisions with courage. Elizabeth Fourie, competing up an age group against 13-year-olds, showcased exceptional versatility and heart, earning bronze in grappling, bronze in MMA light and silver in points fighting. Chloe-Anne Fourie boldly faced off against her 17-year-old opponents and proved her resilience by collecting silver in grappling, silver in MMA light and bronze in points fighting. Durban City confirm Gavin Hunt as new coach
City chair Farook Kadodia said he is confident Hunt will give his club the sort of results they desire after bouncing back to the elite league from their relegation at the end of 2023-2024 while still known as Maritzburg United and based in Pietermaritzburg. 'We're thrilled to welcome Gavin to Durban City. His record speaks for itself and we believe he is the right person to lead our team in this exciting new era,' Kadodia said. 'His professionalism, football knowledge and winning mentality are what the club needs as we strive to compete at the highest level.' Former SuperSport head coach Kaitano Tembo, who once worked with Hunt, has been linked with the assistant's position at City while former Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp is reported to be joining the club as a technical director. Tembo and Middendorp were, however, not announced with Hunt on Wednesday. Two former Bafana Bafana players, Thulani Hlatshwayo and goalkeeper Darren Keet, have also been linked with joining Hunt at City, but Kadodia is yet to reveal the full complement of his club's squad.
