BREAKING NEWS Three people are killed in crash at Bolinda - as fourth fights for life
The vehicles collided about 7.20am on Sunday on Bolinda-Darraweit Road near Bolinda, about 55km north of Melbourne.
'Three people from one of the vehicles, who have yet to be formally identified, died at the scene,' a Victoria Police spokesman said.
'The fourth occupant from that car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.'
Paramedics took the driver and only occupant of the second vehicle to hospital with after they received non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
'The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,' the police said.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or any other information that could assist police has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

A zoo statement published on social media following this weekend's attack says: "Inexplicably, at this stage, one animal grabbed her by one arm and caused severe damage to it. "At no stage did this animal leave its enclosure and there was no risk at all to staff members or members of the public. "Police and Workplace Health and Safety personnel are investigating this incident and have been onsite all morning. "The zoo is working with them to establish how this incident occurred but the full details will not be known until [the woman] can be interviewed." Owner Steve Robinson has since told reporters that the incident was not the "lion's fault". He added that he believes it was not "an attack" and that the lion was just playing, according to "We've raised these lions ourselves,' he said. "Their temperaments are excellent. We can still interact with them through the mesh of the cage." He added that "nothing like this has ever happened before" in the zoo's 20 year history. "We've got theories but until we get fact, I'm not going to be speculating or running with any what ifs or maybes or anything like that," he said. "We're still processing in our minds and coming to grips with not just what happened but what happens next."

Jamie Cork, owner of Jay's Barbers in Newport, arrived at his shop on Saturday, July 5, to find the front window shattered and a brick left inside. The small business has been running for just over a year, without any previous issues. "I have never had any problems at all, so it caught me off guard," Jamie shared. "Since this has happened, I have been made aware that another business has had similar problems and it has been said on social media that some homes have been targeted in the area too." Jamie had closed the shop as usual at 6pm on Friday, July 4. When returning for his shift at 8am the following day, he discovered the damage. "My cousin had picked me up as I was cutting his hair. We drove past and I noticed that the window was smashed in. "I was just gutted," he said. "It's a small business and I work alone - it's just not something you expect to turn up to."
