
Sunni Endowments Directorate Announces Eid Al Fitr Prayer Locations Across Bahrain
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Directorate has confirmed its preparedness to welcome worshippers across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Specific prayer areas have been prepared and allocated, with a committee led by Dr. Shaikh Al Hajeri identifying the main sites, including those designated for expatriate communities in schools throughout the Kingdom.
The committee has detailed the locations and any closures as follows:
1. East Hidd (Hayy Al Julaiah): Al Noor Prayer Area (Kooheji), Fatima bint Fahad Al Musallam Mosque, and Ahmed Abdullah Al Khaja Mosque will be closed.
2. Hidd (Block 111): No surrounding mosques will be closed.
3. Muharraq (near Muharraq Cemetery): Hamad bin Ali Kanoo Mosque, Al Ghawy Mosque, and Dhabiya bint Rashid Mosque will be closed.
4. Busaiteen (Sahil Al Sayah): Ummahat Al Mu'mineen Mosque (near Muharraq Municipality) will be closed.
5. Arad (Arad Fort Square): No surrounding mosques will be closed.
6. Diyar Al Muharraq (southern parking area at Souq Al Baraha): Souq Al Baraha Mosque will be closed.
7. Salmaniya: No surrounding mosques will be closed.
8. Northern Riffa (near Al Estiqlal Walkway): Abu Al Fateh Mosque will be closed.
9. Eastern Riffa (Riffa Fort): Al Qal'ah Mosque, Shaikha Lulwa bint Faris Al Khalifa Mosque, Shaikh Salman Mosque (Riffa Market), and Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Ghatam Mosque will be closed.
10. Hajiyat (Road 2930, Block 929): Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa Mosque will be closed.
11. Hajiyat (Mega Mart parking area, Road 3918, Block 939): No surrounding mosques will be closed.
12. Askar (Heritage Village): No surrounding mosques will be closed.
13. Zallaq (Tamkeen Youth Centre Square): No surrounding mosques will be closed.
14. Hamad Town (Roundabout 17, opposite Hamad Kanoo Health Centre): Musab bin Umair Mosque, Isa Mohammed Ali Mosque, and Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan Mosque will be closed.
15. Hamad Town (Youth Centre at Roundabout 2): Hamad Town Mosque, Ramla bint Abi Sufyan Mosque, and Umm Salama Mosque will be closed.
16. Budaiya (Eid Prayer Area): Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Mousa Mosque will be closed.
17. Salman City (northern shore square, Road 8101, Block 581): Mohammed Abdullah Bahloul and his wife Fatima Al Khaja Mosque, and Salman City Kabinah Mosques (Nos. 1 and 3) will be closed.
18. New Ramli Housing: Moza bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi Mosque will be closed.

Free Ashura transportation service launched
The Jaafari Endowments Directorate has announced the launch of a free transportation service for mourners during the Ashura season of 1447 AH (2025 AD). The initiative includes a network of six main routes transporting participants to the Revival Center in the capital, Manama, and will operate from the night of the seventh until the night of the tenth of Muharram, daily from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. A trial run of the service began on the night of the fifth of Muharram at selected stations, as part of the Directorate's broader efforts to expand its services and facilitate the participation of mourners in commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). Pickup stations The designated pickup stations are strategically located across key areas, including: Jidhafs – AlDaih and Jidhafs intersection; Al-Bilad Al-Qadeem – Al-Khamis intersection; Al-Burhama – near Siam Garage; Salmaniya – near Hayat Plaza Mall; Al-Qafool – near Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque (peace be upon him); and Central Manama – near Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq School and Isa Al-Kabeer Street. In addition to buses, the initiative includes the use of golf carts to transport elderly individuals, people with disabilities, the sick, and children within the procession routes and to and from the Manama ports. The service is being implemented in cooperation with Al Sadiq Transport. His Excellency Engineer Sayed Mohammed Jaafar Al Hussaini, a senior official with the Jaafari Endowments, highlighted the project's dual focus: easing traffic congestion in Manama and providing safe, accessible transportation.
