Hallmark is leaving Peacock: How to watch Hallmark movies and shows

Yahoo30-04-2025

Since 2022, fans of Hallmark movies and shows have been able to tune in to new titles on Peacock thanks to a streaming deal between the two companies, but all of that is set to change on May 1, 2025. Starting on that date, Peacock will no longer carry fan favorite Hallmark shows like When Calls the Heart and The Way Home, nor will it show the weekly films the brand puts out. A recent statement from Hallmark explained, "As Hallmark has since launched its own standalone streaming service, Hallmark+, we evaluated how each of our services provides added value to our subscribers, and to that end, the decision was made to sunset Hallmark programming on Peacock. Peacock and Hallmark will continue to respectively entertain their viewers year-round with exclusive, feel-good content they love.'
So what's a Hallmark fan to do if they want to watch? Well, you can always catch new releases on the Hallmark Channel and its sister site, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. But to catch everything on those channels, including the new series The Motherhood, co-starring Connie Britton, and the network's annual Countdown to Christmas, you'll need Hallmark+. But if you want to watch all this Hallmark content without subscribing to yet another streaming service, the good news is you can add a Hallmark+ plan into your existing Prime Video subscription! Here's everything you need to know about how to get Hallmark+ as a standalone plan, or by rolling it into your existing Prime plan.
The number one place to find Hallmark content after May 1 will be Hallmark+. On Hallmark+ you can tune in to the network's complete slate of shows and movies, plus access exclusive content like The Chicken Sisters and Celebrations with Lacey Chabert, that you can't watch on cable.
A monthly subscription to Hallmark+ costs $7.99, while an annual subscription costs $79.99. Subscribers don't just receive the perks of a streaming platform, they'll also receive a monthly $5 Hallmark Gold Crown coupon to shop with, plus additional discounts and membership bonus points, and annual members will also get free gifts throughout the year.
If you're not interested in subscribing to yet another streaming service, not to worry. Amazon Prime Video subscribers can add Hallmark+ to their existing subscription for the same $7.99 per month which will give you all the same streaming perks as a Hallmark+ subscription.
Want the ability to watch Hallmark but don't want to shell out for any kind of add-on? The Hallmark Channel is available on platforms like DirecTV, Fubo, Frndly TV and Philo, so you can stream Hallmark Channel movies live when they air without paying extra.

We Were Liars Season 2: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

If you're still trying to emotionally recover from that We Were Liars Season 1 finale on Prime Video, you're not alone. Based on E. Lockhart's bestselling YA novel, the show had us hooked from the start—with its sun-drenched mystery, twisted family secrets, and that jaw-dropping twist. And now that all eight episodes have dropped, fans are asking the big question: Are we getting a Season 2? Let's break down everything we know (and what we're hoping for) about a potential second season—casting clues, release date buzz, and where the story could go next. Is 'We Were Liars' Season 2 Happening? As of June 2025, Prime Video hasn't officially renewed the series yet. But don't freak out just yet—things are looking pretty promising. The show shot straight to No. 1 on the platform after it premiered on June 18, and the creators are definitely interested in doing more. Showrunners Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie have said they've had 'endless conversations' with Prime Video about continuing the story. In an interview, Plec mentioned they're just waiting on viewership numbers to roll in before getting that green light. 'We're looking forward to the data working in our favor,' she teased. When Could We Were Liars Season 2 Arrive? Assuming Prime Video gives the go-ahead soon, a new season probably wouldn't drop until late 2026 or early 2027. Here's why: Season 1 started filming in June 2024 and premiered a year later. So if Season 2 starts production by mid-2026, we're looking at a similar release window. We Were Liars' Season 2 Expected Cast That totally depends on where the story goes. But here's what we can say based on that emotional finale. In Season 1, we followed Cadence Sinclair Eastman (played by Emily Alyn Lind ) as she unraveled the dark truth behind a fire that killed her cousins and boyfriend during one tragic summer on Beechwood Island. In the end, we learned she'd been seeing ghosts the whole time—Johnny, Mirren, and Gat were long gone, and Cadence had blocked out the truth. But then came the twist: Carrie (Cadence's aunt, played by Mamie Gummer ) also sees Johnny's ghost. That tiny moment totally changes the game—and hints at a Season 2 that dives into Carrie's story, addiction, and grief. So, we could definitely see Mamie Gummer and Joseph Zada (Johnny) return in a big way. Even though Johnny's dead, his ghost might be sticking around for more emotional haunting. Also likely to return: Emily Alyn Lind as Cadence, Caitlin FitzGerald as Penny, Candice King as Bess, and possibly Rahul Kohli, David Morse, and others—depending on flashbacks or timelines. That said, if Season 2 follows Lockhart's prequel novel Family of Liars (more on that in a sec), we may get an entirely new cast playing younger versions of the Sinclair sisters back in the 1980s. We Were Liars' Season 2 Potential Plot Season 1 covered the whole We Were Liars novel, following Cadence as she unraveled the truth about the fire. That final scene with Carrie and Johnny's ghost pulls straight from Family of Liars , so Season 2 seems poised to dive into that prequel. Set in 1987, it's Carrie's turn to spill her secrets, telling Johnny's ghost about a summer that shaped the Sinclair sisters' lives. Think family dysfunction, a mysterious death (their little sister Rosemary's drowning), and plenty of those dark, beachy vibes we love. But don't count out Cadence's story. Emily Alyn Lind hinted to Variety that Cadence's baggage doesn't just vanish, and her grandfather's threat to expose her could loom large. Plec called Family of Liars the 'Sinclair sister villain origin story' in Swoon , but they might weave in present-day drama too. There's also We Fell Apart , a new Lockhart novel out November 4, 2025, with new characters in the same Gothic world. It's not a direct sequel, but it could inspire some fresh twists. And are those ghosts real or just in their heads? The showrunners are keeping us guessing, which only makes me more excited. Ahmedabad Plane Crash
