Housebreaking in Summerpark area of Dumfries sparks police probe
Thieves broke into a house in Dumfries over the weekend.
Police are investigating the housebreaking in the Summerpark area of the town, which happened between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Anyone from the area who has any camera footage is being asked to come forward to help police with their enquiries.
The break-in happened at a property in Summerpark Road between 3.30pm on Saturday, July 26 and 4.45am on Sunday, July 27.

Detective Constable Sarah Smith said: ''We are appealing to anyone in the local area who has private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help with our investigations to come forward.
'Additionally, anyone who saw anything suspicious in the hours leading up to, or during the night into Sunday, July 27, is asked to contact police.'

Around two hours later, in the early hours of Sunday, 14 September, 2003, a 25-year-old man was also physically and sexually assaulted by three men. Over two decades on police yesterday arrested 65-year-old old man who was charged in connection with both incidents. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Detectives say the investigation is still ongoing to identify and trace the two other male suspects. They have also appealed to any victims who suffered a similar attack to come forward and report it to the police, echoing the appeal shared by Strathclyde Police in 2003.
