Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Sport has participated in the 'Marrakech OIC Youth Capital 2025' forum in the city of Marrakech, Morocco, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The forum has witnessed the participation of youth delegations from member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Set to run until July 3, the forum seeks to boost dialogue among youth in the Islamic world and strengthen cooperation in areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, culture, as well as health.
Overall, the forum provides a significant platform for exchanging ideas and successful experiences in these fields.
Through numerous sessions, the event addresses the challenges that faced the Islamic world during the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic and social repercussions.
Moreover, the forum sheds light on the significance of integrating in labor market and the issues of digital revolution.
With the participation of experts and representatives from Islamic countries, the Marrakech OIC Youth Capital 2025 forum discusses artificial intelligence and mental health.

Saudi Arabia Leads 2nd Round of GCC-Japan Free Trade Agreement Negotiations in Tokyo

The General Authority of Foreign Trade, represented by Deputy Governor for International Organizations and Agreements Fareed Al-Asaly, is leading Saudi Arabia's delegation in the second round of negotiations for the Free Trade Agreement between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Japan. The talks are taking place in Tokyo from June 30 to July 4. The Saudi negotiating team is responsible for overseeing the discussions, ensuring they align with the Kingdom's trade policies and strategic goals. The team also plays a direct role in shaping and presenting Saudi Arabia's positions during the negotiations. In 2024, trade between Saudi Arabia and Japan reached approximately $36 billion. Saudi exports—primarily mineral and organic chemical products—accounted for about $28 billion. Imports from Japan, valued at around $8 billion, were mainly composed of vehicles, machinery, and mechanical appliances. The General Authority of Foreign Trade continues to work toward strengthening Saudi Arabia's global trade presence, maximizing economic benefits, and enhancing its active role in international organizations in pursuit of shared growth and sustainable development. Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka draws over one million visitors

Saudi Gazette report OSAKA — Saudi Arabia's pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has attracted more than one million visitors, reaching this milestone just over two months after its official opening on April 13. Since then, the pavilion has hosted more than 1,137 events across the Expo site. Saudi Ambassador to Japan and Commissioner General of the Kingdom's Pavilion Dr. Ghazi Binzagr described the achievement as a testament to the Kingdom's transformative journey under Vision 2030 while also promoting cultural exchange and sharing its rich heritage with the world. Dr. Binzagr stated that the Saudi participation in Expo 2025 Osaka underscores the strong and enduring ties between Saudi Arabia and Japan, especially as the two countries mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations. He noted that the pavilion aims to inspire visitors by illustrating the Kingdom's advancements and ambitions on the global stage. The Kingdom's involvement in Expo 2025 also serves as a prelude to Expo 2030 Riyadh, reflecting Saudi Arabia's aspiration to become a global destination. As the second-largest pavilion at the event, after host nation Japan, the Kingdom's structure is built using lightweight Saudi stone and features a unique design that offers a spatial journey through cities across the Kingdom. Visitors experience an engaging, interactive exhibit spanning seven immersive rooms, exploring themes such as future cities, sustainable oceans, human potential, and groundbreaking innovation, providing a compelling insight into Saudi Arabia's growing global influence.
