'Significant signing' or 'very underwhelming'?
We asked for your views on the signing of midfielder Thelo Aasgaard after he completed a deal to join Rangers from Luton what some of you had to say:Hector: Yet another signing from a team relegated to the lower divisions in England. This is patronising to the Scottish Premiership and the club's fanbase, and is obviously sub-standard for European competition at any Great bit of business - stood out a mile when I have watched him play. Still young and only going to get better and I think he has a big future in the Brilliant signing, looking forward to seeing him score lots of Super excited about this signing! He is so creative and has goals in his locker also. Scored on his international debut earlier this year for his country, and I can see him being a permanent fixture from now on. Only going to get better and better, mark my words!David: Very underwhelming signing, much the same feelings as when new manager was unveiled. Please overachieve, we need players who can walk into this This is another significant signing and the indications are there's more to come. I sense Russell Martin is building a team for an eventful and hopefully successful season - Aasgaard is a real talent and we should be getting excited at seeing how quickly these new players gel to create a winning team. My only concern is the goalkeeper situation - a weak link in all this activity.

Jack Catterall ‘will need plastic surgery' after ‘one of worst cuts ever' sees Harlem Eubank fight called off
Two former world champions insist even 12 stitches won't help Jack Catterall HORROR INJURY Jack Catterall 'will need plastic surgery' after 'one of worst cuts ever' sees Harlem Eubank fight called off JACK CATTERALL will need plastic surgery after suffering a gruesome injury in his fight against Harlem Eubank, according to two boxing legends. Catterall, 32, handed Eubank, 31, his first ever loss in 22 fights on a disappointing technical decision after an accidental head clash got the fight called off after just six rounds. 4 Jack Catterall will need plastic surgery after his gruesome injury 4 Catterall and his opponent Harlem Eubank suffered deep cuts above their eye Both fighters suffered nasty cuts above their eyes, which led to the bout being waved off and going to the judges amid a cacophony of boos. Catterall, who won via unanimous decision with a score of 69-65, 69-66 and 69-66, suffered a wound that was far worse than Eubank's. That led to former world champions Carl Frampton and Tony Bellew insisting El Gato will "definitely" need plastic surgery. The duo are adamant the cut is so deep that even 12 stitches wouldn't do the trick. In post fight analysis Frampton told DAZN: "That will definitely need plastic surgery. It's so deep. "There's no chance that that can be simply stitched up. Ten to twelve stitches won't do." Bellew agreed: "100 per cent, he'll need a specialist to sort that out." Catterall, though, is just happy to be back to winning ways after only his second boxing loss in 33 fights against Arnold Barboza Jr in February. The Chorley star said: "Respect to Harlem, but I was breaking him down. "It's frustrating I couldn't go through the gears. It's a head clash and I just have to move on. Harlem Eubank has one of boxing's most iconic surnames but he had to make his way in dingy 2,000-seat leisure centres 'The referee made the decision, it's out of my control. He was slippery and tricky but I felt I was catching him with the cleaner shots. 'I am back in the win column now, after back-to-back defeats, so I now can get back in the big fights.' 4 Carl Frampton is adamant Catterall will need a specialist after beating Eubank

Jamal Musiala's Bayern Munich team-mate Alphonso Davies distraught as he reacts to forward's horror injury while streaming during Club World Cup match
Alphonso Davies was visibly distraught after watching his Bayern Munich team-mate Jamal Musiala suffer a grizzly leg injury last night. Musiala had to be taken off on a stretcher just before half-time during his side's Club World Cup defeat by Paris Saint-Germain - and he was later transported to hospital. The forward was involved in a sickening collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, having chased down a ball inside the box. Footage of the incident showed his ankle became trapped in between the stopper's body and arms. The momentum carried them in opposite directions, but Musiala's ankle bore the brunt of the challenge, twisting at a sickening angle. According to Sky Germany, he has a fractured tibia and fibula and is expected to be out for four to five months. Donnarumma and other players from both teams were visibly distressed by the injury and Davies, hosting a watchalong on streaming platform Twitch, was no different. After the severity of the impact became apparent, Davies took off his headphones and fell to knees before screaming: 'Oh my God no, no! Please no, no.' Alphonso Davies was all of us after an injury to his good friend Musiala 😢🤕 🎥 @AlphonsoDavies — 433 (@433) July 5, 2025 Bayern Munich forward Jamal Musiala suffered a horror ankle injury during the Club World Cup Donnarumma was emotional after the incident, dropping to his knees and walking off the pitch at half-time with tears in his eyes. However, Bayern No 1 Manuel Neuer was not in a forgiving mood as he pointed the finger of blame at the Italian international. He told Sky Germany: 'It was a situation where you don't have to go in like that. That's risk-taking. He was prepared to accept the risk of injuring his opponent.' Neuer then alleged Donnarumma only checked in on Musiala because he was asked to, adding: 'I went to him and said, "Don't you want to go and see our player?" It's a matter of respect, of going there and wishing the guy all the best. 'He then did it. Fair play is always a part of it. I would have reacted differently.' After the game, Donnarumma showed even more remorse, taking to Instagram to write: 'All my prayers and well wishes are with you @jamalmusiala10.' Bayern boss Vincent Kompany said the injury left his blood boiling. Delivering a concerning update, he said: 'It didn't look good, I don't know. If I'm just watching the images, it looks like an ankle injury of some type. 'But I'm not going to make a diagnosis here.' Musiala covered his face with his shirt as he was wheeled toward the nearby ambulance Kompany then added: 'It was tough. I've rarely been so angry at half-time, not against my players, but just because... there are many things in life that are important, much more important than this but in the end, for these guys, it's their life. 'Someone like Jamal lives for this, and he came back from his setback, and then it happens in the way it happens, and you feel powerless. 'But the idea for the group and for us is always to gain strength out of it, we were in the game, the team was doing well, the team was fighting. And the second half, I felt we were just starting to edge the game and it looked like it could happen any time. 'So you try and get strength out if it because you want to do it for Jamal but of course, when I'm sat here next to you now, the thing that gets my blood still boiling at the moment is not the result. 'I understand this is football, but it's the fact that it happened to someone that enjoys the game so much but also very important for us.'
