Authorities in the city of Fez have been investigating the claims, which came to light after the doctor's own wife alerted prosecutors. She had reportedly discovered disturbing videos on his phone – footage of him assaulting patients – after returning from a trip to France.
Police say the psychiatrist, along with his cousin, targeted women suffering from mental health conditions, convincing them that he could treat their psychological struggles. Instead, investigators claim, he used his position to manipulate and drug them before assaulting them.
Some of the alleged victims were divorced or married women and had trusted him as their doctor. In one particularly disturbing incident, he is said to have given a sedative to a patient's young daughter so he could be alone with the mother.
According to the newspaper, the psychiatrist would schedule appointments late at night under the guise of therapy. Once there, the women were allegedly given cocaine and other drugs before being assaulted.
The investigation only began after the doctor's wife reportedly found incriminating evidence on his phone, including videos of the assaults. She immediately went to the authorities.
The accused and his cousin have already appeared before an investigative judge, who has set a hearing for July 9.

Tensions escalated with the driver, who allegedly asked the woman accompanying him to get out of the car and beat the other woman who ordered the ride. 'He said if she would not do it, he would do it himself. Then the lady took me aside and attempted to calm him down, and started to talk to me, and I emphasized that I could not take the ride with him,' she said. The victim said she also tried to take pictures because he threatened her that he had her number and he would find her. The driver also attacked her, punching her in the face and causing serious injuries to her jaw. The driver reportedly fled the scene before the police's arrival. The victim filed a complaint against the driver, with an investigation ongoing to determine the circumstances of the case. Eventually, police identified the suspect and arrested him.
