Julien Beaumer to sit out Spring Creek and Washougal to heal from High Point crash
There will be a two-week hiatus following Washougal for the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals, which gives Beaumer a month to recover before the final three rounds of the 2025 Pro Motocross season.
'Wanted to hop on here and give you guys an update for myself,' Beaumer said in a social media post. 'Unfortunately, these last two weekends have been very subpar, and I've been very frustrated. After racing Saturday, the team advised me to go see some doctors and try to figure out what's going on. Obviously, I had that big crash in High Point and I haven't really felt like myself since then. ... I'm still suffering from some lingering effects of the crash I sustained in High Point and the doctor advised me it's best if I take a couple of weekends off and get back to a hundred percent.'
Beaumer started the Motocross season strong, with top-five finishes in Round 1 at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, and in the brutally hot Hangtown Motocross Classic the following week. He failed to crack the top 15 in Round 3 at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, Colorado, crashed at High Point, and was outside the top 15 in the two most recent rounds while riding injured.
'I'm disappointed,' Beaumer continued. 'I feel like I've let my team, everyone in my corner, down. I feel like we have a pretty promising start to the season in the first two rounds. It's disappointing to have to take a couple of rounds off. I'm frustrated, but I'm going to get back to a hundred percent and hopefully return to Ironman a hundred percent ready to go.'
Beaumer is currently sixth in combined SuperMotocross League points with a 181-point gap to 21st in the standings, so there is little danger of dropping that far down the order. The top 20 riders in combined Supercross and Motocross points at the end of the Motocross season receive an automatic invitation to the SuperMotocross League playoffs.

Mother of rising motocross star Aidan Zingg, 16, reveals cause of death following fatal mid-race crash
The mother of Aidan Zingg, the rising young motocross star who tragically died after crashing during a competition in California last month, has confirmed his cause of death. Shari Zingg confirmed to USA Today on Friday that her 16-year-old son died as a result of "cardiac tamponade," dispelling conflicting accounts of what happened to Zingg after he crashed during an event in Mammoth Lakes, California on June 28. According to the report, the Mono County Sheriff's Office is conducting the autopsy but provided no further details to USA Today beyond the family's confirmation. The Cleveland Clinic describes cardiac tamponade as a condition where "the fluid sac around your heart fills with too much blood or other fluid and puts pressure on your heart," making it difficult for the heart's chambers to fill properly and leading to a drop in blood pressure. The condition can be caused by "cancer, infections, trauma and certain diseases," and can be life-threatening without treatment. The rider crashed his bike in the 250 B class. According to initial reports at the time, Zingg was allegedly run over by other riders. But a spokesperson for Next Level Sports Management disputed those claims in a statement to Fox News Digital, confirming that Zingg "was not run over by any motorcycles/riders." Kawasaki Racing released a statement on Zingg's passing in a post on social media last month, confirming the news of his death. "It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Kawasaki Team Green rider Aidan Zingg," the team wrote on X. "Zingg lost his life following injuries sustained during a crash at Mammoth Motocross in Mammoth Lakes, California. "Zingg's dedication and kind demeanor will forever be remembered." Zingg had been competing on the amateur circuit since at least 2019 and qualified to race at the AMA Amateur Motocross National Championship in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, for the seventh straight year, according to MX Sports. Last year, Zingg earned an AMA National Championship in the Supermini 2 class. He was a part of the Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green roster with other up-and-coming riders Kyleigh Stallings, Ryder Ellis, Landen Gordon, Vincent Wey and Enzo Temmerman. 2025 Spring Creek Motocross 450 Qualification: Jett and Hunter Lawrence top Q1
Jett Lawrence (1:53.219) and Hunter Lawrence (1:54.508) are firmly established as the fastest Pro Motocross riders at this stage of the 2025 season and they proved that at Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minnesota, with the two fastest times. Jett was 1.290 seconds faster than his brother. Aaron Plessinger (1:55.802) returned after missing Moto 2 in RedBud last week. He landed third on the chart with an almost identical gap to Hunter (1.295 seconds). The bottom half of the top five was much closer: Fourth-place Justin Cooper (1:55.874) was 0.073 seconds behind Plessinger, and RJ Hampshire (1:56.102), .228 seconds further back to round out the top five. Eli Tomac (1:56.809) did not crack the top five. He was a distant seventh, more than 3.5 seconds behind Jett. Last week's mechanical failure in Moto 1 at RedBud took some wind out of his sails. Chase Sexton (1:56.857) was eighth. 2025 Spring Creek Motocross 250 Qualification:
Spring Creek is one of two Pro Motocross tracks on which Haiden Deegan has not yet won, and he wants to erase that mark in Round 24 of the SuperMotocross World Championship. In the first qualification session, he jumped to the top of the board immediately with the fastest first lap of the session. Deegan remained at the top of the chart until the checkered flag waved over Qualification 1 and posted his fastest lap of 1:57.673 at the end of the session. Seth Hammaker (1:58.366) was the second-fastest rider. Levi Kitchen (1:58.911) looks to even out his performances after a rollercoaster first half of the season. He was third. Fourth-place Michael Mosiman (1:59.065) and the Monster Energy Supercross 250 East champion Tom Vialle (1:59.484) rounded out the top five. Hometown rider and Grand Marshal Jeremy Martin (1:59.800) has a top-10 in view. He was seventh.
