Julien Beaumer to sit out Spring Creek and Washougal to heal from High Point crash

Red Bull KTM and Julien Beaumer have mutually decided to sit out the next two rounds at Spring Creek in Millville, Minnesota, and Washougal, Washington, to allow the rider to heal from the ongoing effects of a heavy crash in the High Point Nationals in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. There will be a two-week hiatus following Washougal for the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals, which gives Beaumer a month to recover before the final three rounds of the 2025 Pro Motocross season. 'Wanted to hop on here and give you guys an update for myself,' Beaumer said in a social media post. 'Unfortunately, these last two weekends have been very subpar, and I've been very frustrated. After racing Saturday, the team advised me to go see some doctors and try to figure out what's going on. Obviously, I had that big crash in High Point and I haven't really felt like myself since then. ... I'm still suffering from some lingering effects of the crash I sustained in High Point and the doctor advised me it's best if I take a couple of weekends off and get back to a hundred percent.' Beaumer started the Motocross season strong, with top-five finishes in Round 1 at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, and in the brutally hot Hangtown Motocross Classic the following week. He failed to crack the top 15 in Round 3 at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, Colorado, crashed at High Point, and was outside the top 15 in the two most recent rounds while riding injured. 'I'm disappointed,' Beaumer continued. 'I feel like I've let my team, everyone in my corner, down. I feel like we have a pretty promising start to the season in the first two rounds. It's disappointing to have to take a couple of rounds off. I'm frustrated, but I'm going to get back to a hundred percent and hopefully return to Ironman a hundred percent ready to go.' Beaumer is currently sixth in combined SuperMotocross League points with a 181-point gap to 21st in the standings, so there is little danger of dropping that far down the order. The top 20 riders in combined Supercross and Motocross points at the end of the Motocross season receive an automatic invitation to the SuperMotocross League playoffs. Haiden Deegan and Julien Beaumer exchange words after Seattle race

Haiden Deegan and Julien Beaumer had a heated exchange after the Monster Energy Supercross 250 West divisional race, which led to a battle of words on from the podium stage. At the center of the controversy were actions following Deegan's March 21, 2025, Walton County arrest for stunt driving and street racing. Deegan fell early while riding second to his teammate Cole Davies, who won the race. Deegan fell as far back as eighth and climbed through the field before catching Beaumer in a contest for third on Lap 18. Deegan rode Beaumer wide, turning into his competitor, before taking the position. Beaumer kept his bike upright and finished fourth. The two riders parked next to one another following the main event. At one point, Deegan slapped Beaumer's helmet. 'Everyone knows what happened to me these last two weeks,' Deegan said after finishing third, referencing his arrest. 'He, JuJu went out of his own hands to post on his story that had my address and stuff. And now you're talking about my family, putting my family in danger and that's a whole 'nother scene so I told him not to do that. It ain't cool. He obviously lit back but we'll just see what happens from here on out.' Walton County's booking information included Deegan's address. Following his arrest, Deegan posted a screenshot on an Instagram story of his booking information, which had his address erased. Beaumer posted the unaltered version in an Instagram story, both of which disappeared in 24 hours. 'For that situation, no worries,' Beaumer said after finishing fourth. 'I ain't the only one who posted his address. So he can talk all he wants, but that's public record. I'm not worried about it; he has one coming.' After a run-in with Haiden Deegan in the 250 main event at Seattle, Julien Beaumer asserts that "he has one coming" when they meet again in Philadelphia.

Supercross 2025 results: 250 West highlights, rundown, reaction at Anaheim 2, Haiden Deegan wins

Haiden Deegan finally got a strong start in Round 3 of the Monster Energy Supercross 250 West division and converted it into his first win of the 2025 season. Deegan earned the holeshot with red plate holder Julien Beaumer on his back wheel. After some drama between those two riders in the heat race, Beaumer attempted to push Deegan up the hill in Turn 1, but was unable to stand his rival up. Deegan rocketed off the banking and was not seen again as he led all 17 laps of the race since the 2024 season finale East / West Showdown in Salt Lake City. Beaumer steadily lost ground to Deegan on the track and finished nearly four and a half seconds off the pace, but he was aware that championships are won with consistency and by the rider making the fewest mistake. He lost five points to his principal championship rival but maintains a seven-point advantage. Beaumer has been the most pleasant surprise in the 250 West division as he 'keeps calm and carries on.' The early races of Cole Davies' Supercross career have been marked with solid starts, so no one knew what to expect when he completed Lap 1 in seventh. Davies steadily worked his way through the pack and was sixth on Lap 3, fifth on Lap 5, and was fourth the following lap. It seemed his progress would stall there until Jordon Smith crashed on the final lap and cleared the way to third. This was Davies' first podium of the season and his second top-five. After giving Factory Triumph their first podium in the season opener, Smith was on his way to allowing them to sweep that position through three rounds until he charged too hard on the final lap in an attempt to pass Beaumer for the runner-up position. Smith tipped over on the final lap and relinquished third but remains perfect in regard to top-fives. Coty Schock raced with the leaders throughout the Round 3 feature, never climbing higher than fourth or falling lower than fifth. He's proving that year's Cinderella season was not a fluke with two results of sixth in the opening rounds and this week's fifth-place finish. Riding with two broken fingers, Jo Shimoda finished just outside of the top five in sixth. He has one more race this weekend in Glendale, Arizona, before the 250 West riders get a break to allow the Eastern riders to take the field. With injuries to teammates Ty Masterpool and Garrett Marchbanks, Drew Adams got the call to ascend to the professional ranks. His Supercross debut was marked by impressive speed in practice and qualification as well as his first top-10 in the division. Adams climbed as high as sixth in the feature and finished eighth.
