
Hamdan bin Mohammed Approves AED2 Billion Housing Package for Emiratis in Dubai
The announcement came during Sheikh Hamdan's visit to the Wadi Al Amardi housing project, where he reviewed ongoing developments and inspected model homes designed to meet modern living standards. He also examined future plans that include over 1,100 residential units across four key areas in Dubai: Wadi Al Amardi, Al Aweer, Hatta, and Oud Al Muteena.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the new housing projects aim to provide Emirati families with modern, well-integrated communities featuring advanced infrastructure, essential public services, and sustainable design. He praised the efforts of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, noting that enhancing the well-being and stability of citizens remains a top priority for the Dubai government.
Currently, 1,163 homes are under construction. These include 432 units in Wadi Al Amardi valued at AED767.9 million, 398 in Al Aweer at AED734.1 million, 213 in Hatta worth AED508.5 million, and 120 in Oud Al Muteena at AED113.8 million.
The housing initiative aligns with Dubai's broader vision to develop inclusive, future-ready communities that reflect the needs and aspirations of its people.

Following the resounding success of its first edition, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) launched the second edition of its 'Self-Exploration through Tourism' summer training programme. The programme is a part of the Department's ongoing efforts to empower Emirati youth and enhance their future contribution to the development of vital sectors in the Emirate, most notably the tourism sector. The programme, which runs until July 31, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM daily, targets Emirati students currently pursuing their university studies at an academic institution within the country. The programme offers students professional, hands-on experience in a realistic work environment, to strengthen their applied knowledge, refine their communication and interpersonal skills, and provide important workplace insights for identifying potential career paths post-graduation. It also seeks to ensure their alignment with labour market demands and societal needs by equipping participants with the skills needed to navigate modern tools and systems, while fostering positive values such as punctuality, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, said: 'ADTD's 'Self-Exploration through Tourism' programme reflects our longstanding commitment to empowering the youth by providing exemplary educational and training opportunities. RTA Launches Ajyal 2025 Internship to Train 40 Emirati Students in Key Sectors
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the 2025 edition of its Ajyal Summer Internship Programme, set to run from 7 July to 4 August, offering 40 Emirati students hands-on training across its various sectors and agencies. Designed for secondary school and university students, the programme provides field-based experience in engineering, technology, and administration. It aims to equip participants with practical skills and early exposure to Dubai's infrastructure projects, enhancing their career readiness and professional development. Ajyal blends theoretical and practical learning through in-person and remote workshops delivered in partnership with international academic platforms. Topics include digital transformation, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and communication skills. Participants will also visit strategic RTA sites such as the train depot, Smart Number Plate Factory, and the Research and Innovation Centre at the University of Birmingham Dubai. Additional field trips include the Museum of the Future, uSky's suspended transport systems in Sharjah, and RTA's marine transport projects.
