iGA Extends 2025 eGovernment Excellence Award's Submission Deadline to Thursday, July 3rd
The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has extended the submission deadline for the 13th eGovernment Excellence Award till Thursday, 3 July 2025, in response to the requests from the interested participants. The deadline extension aims to grant more time for the entities and individuals to submit their digital initiatives via The extension provides an opportunity for public and private sector institutions, civil society organizations, and individuals to join Bahrain's digital excellence journey. The iGA highlighted that the Awards' individuals' category encourages young national talents to submit innovative digital ideas that address, and tackle community needs and elevate government services. The iGA revealed that Individual category affirms its commitment to attract creative and innovative talents, and provide a platform for a pool of innovative digital ideas, while enabling public and private entities to review and potentially adopt these proposals as tangible projects. The iGA specifically encouraged young people to unleash their creativity and contribute to overall Bahrain's digital sector. The award's public and private sectors category includes Best Website, Best Practice in eParticipation, Best Integrated eServices, Best Work Environment for Digital Innovation, Best Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Best Project for Digital Transformation. The iGA emphasized the award as a key national platform for recognizing leading technological initiatives, highlighting entities' digital efforts, and showcasing these projects locally and globally. The iGA urged interested institutions and individuals take advantage of the extended deadline to submit entries via and follow iGA's social media accounts @iGABahrain for upcoming updates. Registration closes on Thursday, 3 July 2025, after which judges will select innovative projects that advance digital excellence and high-quality service delivery for citizens and residents.

iGA Conducts Introductory Workshops for the eGovernment Excellence Award 2025
In line with the official launch of the 13th edition of the eGovernment Excellence Award 2025, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) organized two virtual introductory workshops in Arabic and English languages, targeting participants from public & Private sector organizations, Non-government organizations (NGOs) and individuals. The workshops aimed at familiarizing potential participants with the award's categories, evaluation criteria, and participation guidelines, while addressing participants' inquiries related to the award and submission process which is open until 28 June 2025. The iGA stated that these workshops are in line with iGAs efforts towards reinforcing the public awareness on the award, highlighting the significance of the eGovernment Excellence Award and its role in nurturing innovation, supporting digital transformation, and enhancing service quality delivered to citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The award is also inline with with government directives to achieve excellence, boost competitiveness, improve quality of life, and promote Bahrain's ICT regionally and globally. The iGA also emphasized that the workshops are part of iGA's awareness campaign aimed at encouraging participation and the submission of innovative digital initiatives and projects through an interactive platform for dialogue, questions, and knowledge exchange. During the workshops, participants were introduced to award details and registration processes.
