Red Dead Redemption's John Marston actor tries to calm fans down after having "possibly misled" them with his "exciting news" teaser: "I do not make announcements for Rockstar Games"

Red Dead Redemption's John Marston actor Rob Wiethoff has attempted to calm fans down again after he teased some "exciting news" coming this week while playing through the 2010 action-adventure he stars in, now reminding everyone that "I do not make announcements for Rockstar Games."
Previously, the stars seemed to be aligning for some sort of Red Dead Redemption-related announcement. Not only did Wiethoff say that "cannot think about anything else, especially playing this game" during his stream, but asked if he knew "what the Red Dead news is Rob mentioned," Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan actor Roger Clark said "yes," seemingly confirming it really is something to do with the series.
Now though, in a new livestream on his YouTube channel (highlighted by @jonbranham_ on Twitter), Wiethoff says that while "I do have something I'm really excited about, I truly am, and I think you will be too," he now realises that he "possibly misled some people when I announced that I have something to announce that I can't talk about right now.
"Just please recognize – and I know that you know this, but let me remind you, I guess – I do not make announcements for Rockstar Games. We all know that, I'm just reminding you I do not make announcements for Rockstar Games. Rockstar Games makes announcements for Rockstar Games, and they don't use me to do that," he laughs. "So please know that, and again I still think that a lot of you are going to be really excited about this news, absolutely."
Wiethoff says he still "can't share it with you yet, and I'm so sorry" about that, but assuming his original teaser still holds up, we should be finding out whatever it is in the next few days. Again, Clark's previous comment does indicate that there's something related to Red Dead going on, but anyone hoping for something like a remake, port, or new game should probably temper their expectations at this point.

Abbott Elementary's Quinta Brunson breaks silence on divorce as she addresses 'major change' in life
Quinta Brunson has insisted that she "didn't announce" her divorce. The 35-year-old actress married Kevin Jay Anik in 2022, and it emerged via public records earlier this year that she had filed for divorce but she has insisted that no one famous actually wants others to know when something happens in their personal life. She told Bustle: 'I remember seeing people be like, 'She announced her divorce.' "I didn't announce anything. I think people have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move. None of us do. I promise you. No one wants [everyone] to know when you buy a house, when you move, when a major change happens in your personal life. It's just that that's public record information.' The Abbott Elementary star initially felt the need to present herself in a "certain way" once she found success with her Emmy Award-winning TV series and felt pressure to avoid doing things like changing her appearance, but then found it "very liberating" to stop thinking like that. She said: "When Abbott started, it felt like, 'OK, I'm quite public now, and I'm responsible for so many people. I need to be consistent. I need to show up a certain way. I need to be reliable. Report: Fighter Released After UFC 317 Weight Miss Gets DWCS Booking

The UFC brought Ewert in to serve as a late-replacement opponent opposite Jackson McVey on the UFC 317 fight card. However, Ewert was released by the promotion during the official weigh-ins for the event, with the UFC commentary team announcing that the fight was off after Ewert was 10 pounds heavy for the middleweight matchup. While Ewert might not be a member of the UFC roster any longer, he will still reportedly get a chance to earn a UFC roster spot through the Dana White's Contender Series. 'People don't understand how much we tried and we started the cut at 216,' Ewert's coach Javier Torres told MMA Fighting after Ewert had been released. 'When we got to Vegas, we checked in at 216 pounds. [Friday] '[Our] flight was leaving from Phoenix 8:30 a.m., [and got] delayed until 11:05 a.m. and we got to Vegas 1 p.m. We did bunch of media, pictures, obligations for UFC. We [had] a small window from 4-6 pm, [so] we did a small cut — a 30-minute run, pad, mitts, sauna, [and] mummy.' 'We told our business partner [we wanted]'[Mick Maynard, our business partner] and I [talked] at 4 a.m., I told him what was happening. Chris started getting cramps, small ones. 'I let him rest, he couldn't sleep for shit. We checked his weight at 6:45 a.m., then we started [the cut again] at 7:15 — run and pads with the sauna suit on, and we got in the sauna and we did the mummy with sauna suit on. And we did this process again until 9:30 am. 'We did try super (expletive) hard. We cut 22 pounds from Wednesday to Friday morning.' Ewert got the call for UFC 317 when McVey's opponent Sedriques Dumas was forced from the card. However, on Sunday, Carlos Contreras Legaspi of ESPNDeportes reported that Ewert, who was scheduled to compete on the upcoming season of Dana White's Contender Series would remain on the schedule for an appearance on the August 12 edition of the DWCS against Yuri Panferov. As for Ewert's scheduled opponent for UFC 317, McVey, he weighed in at 185 pounds for the canceled bout. Forbes reached out to the UFC for confirmation on Legaspi's report. Ewert is 7-0 as a pro with five knockout wins and two victories via decision. His most recent fight came in January when he defeated Reese Watkins via unanimous decision on a Fury Fighting Championship card.
