Kajol shares her thoughts on the significance of Parents' Day
Bollywood actress Kajol, who is an avid social media user, has shared her thoughts on the significance of Parents' Day, expressing that the title feels too small to truly honour the role parents play in our lives. Taking to her Instagram handle, the 'Dilwale' actress shared that she believes that parenthood deserves a larger and more meaningful acknowledgment beyond just a single day of celebration. Kajol posted a smiling photo of herself alongside her mother, Tanuja, and her mother-in-law, Veena Devgan. She also dropped images of her father Shomu Mukherjee and father-in-law Veeru Devgan. For the caption, the 'Do Patti' actress wrote, 'Parents Day feels too small a name for what they've done for me. But here's a post anyway. And a big thank you to you 4 #happyparentsday.' Celebrities have marked National Parents' Day by paying heartfelt tributes to their parents. Sanjay Dutt's sister, Priya Dutt, took to social media to honour the legacy of their parents, legendary actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis. In an emotional tribute, Priya reflected on the most meaningful gift her parents gave her—a life guided by love and purpose. She took to Instagram to share a monochrome photo and video of Sunil Dutt and Nargis, accompanied by a heartfelt message. 'Children are a reflection of their parents. I watched my parents stand for what mattered. They showed me what it means to serve with sincerity, to lead with heart, and to give without needing recognition. They were my strength, my soft place to land, and the reason I believe in the goodness of people. Their actions and their values became my path to follow. This Parents' Day, I celebrate the greatest gift they gave me, a life rooted in purpose and love. Today as a parent i have their blueprint to follow to pass on this legacy to my children. To all Parents out there #HappyParentsDay,' she wrote as the caption. Observed annually on the fourth Sunday of July, National Parents' Day recognizes the vital role parents play in nurturing future generations and shaping the fabric of society. For the unversed, the day was formally introduced in 1994 when US President Bill Clinton signed a congressional resolution to highlight the importance of parental care and guidance. Meanwhile, the two ladies from Bollywood who never shy away from speaking their mind — Kajol and Twinkle Khanna have joined forces for an exciting chat show, 'Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle'. Before Kajol and Twinkle's show premieres, let us turn back the clock and look at an old conversation between the two ladies when the 'DDLJ' actress opened up about age anxiety. When Twinkle asked Kajol if being an actor, she ever worries about ageing, she revealed that, as a matter of fact, she does worry about it. Kajol shared that, according to her, ageing has to do with energy more than the lines on your face. 'I think people look at how you are saying what you're saying. I feel more than the lines on the face, age shows in people's eyes, when they get tired, when they get bored of what they are doing — that's when people start noticing the lines and the wrinkles,' the 'Maa' actress added. 'So, I worry about it, yes, I am concerned about it- who isn't, and I do my daily routine religiously,' Kajol added. Shedding light on her daily routine, she shared, 'I am extremely careful about drinking my eight glasses of water. I have to have my 8 to 10 hours of sleep at least. I wash my face every night religiously, put my cream on, and I am like — 'now I am ready to go to bed'. And I take very-very good care of myself, I workout, I do all of it.' Coming back to 'Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle', the show was announced on Tuesday. Indo-Asian News Service

A jailbird's guide to using unlicensed music
So you're the content manager for a mall in Dubai and you want to use Bob Marley's Jammin' as the music for your social media soundtrack? Go ahead. That'll get you into trouble quicker than admitting you shot the sheriff. And in the mall itself. That lovely, slow and familiar love song in the zone around the high-ticket jewelry stores or the quick-tempo current chart -topper in the supermarket? You're making every customer within earshot an accessory to a crime. Even in Dubai, that's too high a price to pay for some retail therapy. And when you get caught? The first thing you'll be told when you protest is 'ignorance of the law is no excuse'. Ignorance, in this case, may be that you trusted Instagram, Canva or CapCut, because they showed it as an option. The second thing you'll be told when you argue that '…surely it's okay, everyone else does it' will be 'oh we'll get to everyone else, don't you worry'. We speak about license infringement in malls, but they're just the tip of the iceberg. Last year, 14 NBA franchises were sued for copyright infringement because of the music they neglected to pay for in their promotional videos. That's half of the entire NBA playing dodgeball, not basketball! We can debate the merits of copyright law all day, but the fact remains that published music cannot be used for any commercial promotion without cost. If you have a personal profile on a social media platform, that's okay. Alright, now we've all had a light slap on the wrist, what's the answer? First, remove the ignorance factor. It's not going to cost you anything to explore your options in terms of catalogued music that's available. Spek, Founder & CEO at PopArabia commented, 'If you are a corporate entity or business page on social media you require music licenses to use commercial music from the library available. Social media pages are not exempt from music licensing requirements. Companies in MENA should be aware.' Secondly, put a call into a sonic branding company. They'll sit down with you to discuss solutions that are scalable up or down, with either licensed or original music. Thirdly, don't go looking to AI for the creation of music, particularly if you think your budget is too low for human creativity. It may produce something you think is great, but it won't be original and therefore will never bond with whatever currently represents the brand. Lastly, start thinking about music as an immersive brand experience, not just a prop to help make a quick sale. Because despite its name, sonic branding is not really about sound at all. Sound is a tool to help you achieve better brand engagement. The term brand refers not to a product (or service), but the relationship a human being has with that product. A relationship whose interaction puts an individual human being into a state of grace, borne of trust and satisfaction. Sonic branding, therefore, is about how you feel about a product, service or event. When you brief a sonic branding company and you ask for specific, culturally relevant musical instruments, for example, you should expect more than just nods of acquiescence from the company. In response, you should expect a deep dive into why these specific instruments resonate, and how they contribute to mood. Or at the very least, they should respond with enlightenment from previous experiences about why those instruments are right. Or wrong. That doesn't just put sonic branding on a par with visual branding, it puts it ahead on levels we're only just beginning to comprehend. Please think carefully about the beautiful or dynamic music you use to attract customers. Is it legal? Is it moral? And does it ignore the opportunity to take your brand engagement to a new level? Omar Harfouch to Judge Miss Universe 2025 Following Saint-Tropez Meeting with Raul Rocha
Without a doubt, Saint-Tropez is the official epicenter of A-list celebrities and the biggest tycoons all year round, but especially during summer. For the most part, these juggernauts come to play, but also to do business on the side. This is precisely what happened between two entertainment industry disruptors—Concerto for Peace composer and musical legend Omar Harfouch, and Miss Universe Organization President and Owner, prolific Mexican magnate Raul Rocha—not in a boardroom, but in a private multi-million dollar yacht, according to Harfouch's story publication on Instagram. As the President and Owner of the Miss Universe Organization, Raul played host to one of the most significant figures in music today—Omar Harfouch—for a private meeting. It was there that Omar was confirmed for the appointment as one of the judges of the upcoming Miss Universe competition to be held in Bangkok on November 21, 2025. Omar's participation in this prestigious pageant is strategic, let alone timely, as Miss Universe continues to raise its standards in terms of stature, intelligence, poise, class, and international diplomacy. The collaboration took place in the heart of the Riviera's summer pulse, where A-listers like Jeff Bezos, Leonardo DiCaprio, the Kardashian family, and Adrien Brody were all spotted in the same week. Business, however, was still on the agenda. Raul Rocha and Omar Harfouch used Saint-Tropez for leisure while aligning with the ethos that the Miss Universe Organization has upheld since 1952. Omar Harfouch, known and celebrated as a concert pianist, represents that caliber. His reputation echoes loud and far, pushing for peace initiatives and diplomatic engagements. Bringing him in as one of the jurors further solidifies MUO's position as a purveyor of anything extraordinarily glamorous yet purposeful. Omar Harfouch is clearly one of the few artists whose career merges excellent artistry with the common good of all. His involvement with Miss Universe brings an extra layer of gravity to the selection process and sends a message to the world: the next "Beautifully Confident" woman will be carefully evaluated by exceptional masters of their respective fields who represent excellence beyond borders.
