'I'm the new Superman – here's how I spent my last hour of anonymity'

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video What's that in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a new Superman movie that's about to land in cinemas across the UK. Superman is the first film in James Gunn's new shared superhero universe and hopes to usher in a new era for Clark Kent and his super friends. Which brings us to the new Superman himself, David Corenswet. The 31-year-old had just one hour between finding out he'd scored the biggest job of his life and the world finding out. So, how did he spend it? 'Oh, I just played solitaire by myself and panicked quietly,' David laughed while speaking to Metro about that fateful s60 minutes on the red carpet at London's Superman Fan Event. 'No, I had the opportunity to tell about six or seven people who I was close to, and just kind of relished in this one hour where I had a big secret that nobody else knew about,' he continued. 'It's a rare moment in life, so I tried to be present with it, and not be too overwhelmed.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video 'I got to tell my wife and a couple of family members, and then just sat in a chair and waited for the news to break.' Thankfully, once David's not-so-secret identity had been exposed, he could rely on other actors who've slipped into Superman's red Speedos for advice. 'I was lucky enough to exchange letters with Tyler Hoechlin and Henry Cavill, two fellas who have played Superman before me,' David explained. 'They said, 'You know, there's not much advice that we can give. You know, you sort of have to do your own thing.' 'But it was really wonderful to get words of encouragement from them, and then to be able to write to them and talk about how appreciative I was of the way that they had stewarded the character in their time. That was a special experience.' Superman will eschew the traditional origin story and instead introduce us to a Clark Kent (David Corenswet) who's been battling bad guys for years and is already in a relationship with Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan). More Trending Unfortunately, this means Superman has had time to make more than a few enemies, including Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), who has a plan to bring the Man of Tomorrow down to Earth. Will he succeed? Well, you'll have to fly over to your local cinema to find out. Superman soars into cinemas on July 11. Got a story? The free, ad-supported streaming service is directing viewers to continue watching Freevee content on Prime Video. The notice stated: 'Prime Video is the new exclusive home for Freevee TV shows, movies and Live TV. 'The Freevee app will be accessible until August 2025. Continue watching your favorite Free Originals and our library of hit movies, shows, and live TV on Prime Video for free. "No subscription needed. Download Prime Video to get started and sign-in with your Amazon account.' The Move Was Expected The move doesn't come as a surprise, as Amazon confirmed back in November 2024 that it was sunsetting the service and integrating its content into Prime Video. Freevee content was already available through both apps and there had been murmurs earlier this year that the name could be axed after Prime introduced ads. Amazon said in a statement at the time that it had 'Decided to phase out Freevee branding. "There will be no change to the content available for Prime members, and a vast offering of free streaming content will still be accessible for non-Prime members. "Including select Originals from Amazon MGM Studios, a variety of licensed movies and series, and a broad library of FAST Channels — all available on Prime Video.' Amazon Prime cancels beloved drama despite show having two-season order and furious fans vow to boycott streamer Instead of operating two separate services, the company is consolidating its streaming efforts around Prime Video. The Freevee App Launched in 2019, the Freevee app is available in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Austria. It is the company's free alternative to Prime Video, with classic and original shows including Judy Justice and the reboot of Aussie soap Neighbours. Popular original series also include Emmy-nominated reality comedy show Jury Duty, and crime show Bosch: Legacy. These shows are accessible on Prime Video under the 'Watch for Free' section. The service started out life under the IMDb brand five years ago, before becoming Freevee in April 2022. Although the app and brand is disappearing, the shows and movies are not. Instead, they will live within Prime Video with a free label.

Jeremy Clarkson teases Kaleb Cooper after farmhand shares rare clip of brother

Clarkson's Farm fans were shocked to see how much Kaleb Cooper's rarely-seen brother looks like him, but Jeremy Clarkson had his eyes on a different aspect of the video Clarkson's Farm fans were shocked to see how similar Kaleb Cooper's brother is to the farmhand after he posted a rare video of him on social media, complete with a cheeky response from Jeremy Clarkson. Kaleb, who became a household name thanks to his appearances on the hit Amazon Prime series ever since it debuted in 2021, posted a clip on Instagram as he celebrated turning 27. The short video showed his brother pushing him on a tyre swing, which left many of Kaleb's 2.9 million followers convinced they were seeing double. ‌ Fans flooded the comments section, asking questions like: "Why is there two of you?" and "Hey is that your twin? Happy birthday." ‌ Others joked: "This is like a glitch in the Matrix. Why is the person pushing you also you?!" and "Kaleb squared." Several were so confused they demanded answers, with one person asking: "How are you pushing yourself on the swing?" But it was Jeremy Clarkson who delivered the most savage reaction, quipping: "I'd worry about that rope." Kaleb captioned his birthday post: "Here's to 27 years old! Thank you all for the birthday messages!" Kaleb's latest update comes after season four of Clarkson's Farm season four came out on Prime Video at the end of May. In it there were periods where the farmhand was temporarily absent from Diddly Squat Farm as he took on a nationwide speaking tour. During his time away, a new figure called Harriet Cowan stepped in to lend a hand. Kaleb recently reassured fans that he is still a part of the series on This Morning, explaining: "I'm still involved, there's lots of rumours going about that I've been replaced but I'm still here, Harriet stepped in as I jumped away on tour, I'm very grateful that Harriet came along and saved the day." Ben Shephard noted that Harriet even helped Jeremy "tidy his eyebrows", to which Kaleb teased: "I know his hair's terrible but I don't really notice his eyebrows." ‌ Kaleb went on to joke about Jeremy's skills on the farm, saying: "He shouldn't be trusted alone on the farm, he's getting better but there are loads of things he still can't do." Filming season four of Clarkson's Farm was not always plain sailing, as Kaleb has revealed that he and Jeremy got into a number of rows during the latest harvest, calling the experience "pretty tough mentally". He admitted "Jeremy and I argued quite a bit in harvest because it was so stressful for me trying to do my very best again as a contractor. It was pretty tough mentally.' He added that Clarkson can be more of a hindrance than a help when it comes to working in the fields, saying: "Jeremy really enjoys doing the harvest, but he's a pain. Life would be easier if he wasn't there during harvest, just because he's a bit incompetent!" Despite their fiery rows, which included Kaleb calling Jeremy a 't**t' and Jeremy retaliating with choice words of his own, the pair ultimately teamed up to get the job done.
