Celebrated Hollywood actor no longer remembers being famous
The star of the Die Hard movie franchise was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023, and sources close to him say he can hardly recall being famous.
Best known for his roles in Die Hard (1988, 1990, 1995, 2007, 2013), the seminal Pulp Fiction (1994), and The Sixth Sense (1999), Willis has been battling this progressive brain disorder as best he can.
It has taken its toll. His friends and family said he can no longer speak, read or walk independently. He had initially taken a step back from acting and retired in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that impairs communication.
His last film, Assassin (2022) , saw him appear alongside South Africa's Nomzamo Mbatha.
Reports suggest that he has no recollection of the global impact his career had. Glenn Gordon Caron, creator of Moonlighting (1985-1989), the series that propelled Willis' career, shared that while the 70-year-old is still visibly the person we all came to know through our screens, his vibrancy has dissipated. His sharp sense of wit has been blunted.
'The joie de vivre is gone,' Caron explained.
Willis remains very close with his family and is being supported by them. His wife, Emma Heming Willis, and ex-wife Demi Moore, along with his five daughters, are his primary caregivers and protectors. They have used their celebrity to shed light on the effects of this crippling ailment. They have urged compassion and understanding when it comes to dealing with people who have FTD.
Despite the devastating nature of this disease, Willis created a career which will see his efforts be celebrated for years to come. His breakout role in Moonlighting saw him attain both a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe for his performance as David Addison Jr in the hit TV series.
His portrayal of John McClane in the vaunted action franchise that defined his career raked in $1.4 billion (R24 billion). At one point, he was the eighth highest-grossing actor in North America. His work on The Sixth Sense contributed to the film earning six nominations at the Academy Awards.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has thrilled fans for decades with unforgettable characters, fierce rivalries, and emotional moments. However, behind the bodyslams and WrestleMania moments lies the harsh reality of the business, as many icons have passed away too soon. While a few wrestlers have lived beyond the age of 80, many legends of the squared circle have left us early. In this article, we will look at five former WWE wrestlers who left us too soon, each leaving behind a unique legacy. Hulk Hogan (1953-2025) The 13-time champion died last week from cardiac arrest. Emergency responders were dispatched to Hogan's home in Clearwater, Florida, after a 911 call reported a cardiac emergency. He was treated at the scene by Clearwater Fire & Rescue and transported to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:11. Scott Hall (1958–2022) Known as 'Razor Ramon' in WWE and a founding member of the nWo in WCW, Scott Hall redefined cool in wrestling. After a long battle with addiction, Hall passed away in March 2022 due to complications from hip surgery that led to multiple heart attacks. He was 63. Roddy Piper (1954–2015) A master of the mic and one of WWE's greatest villains, Roddy Piper brought unpredictability and intensity to every feud. His infamous 'Piper's Pit' segment set a standard for wrestling interviews. Piper died suddenly from a heart attack in July 2015 at the age of 61. Despite being a heel for most of his career, Piper was deeply respected by fans and peers. His legacy continues through his children, including MMA fighter Teal Piper. Matt 'Rosie' Anoa'i (1970–2017) Part of the legendary Anoa'i wrestling family, Rosie teamed with Jamal in 3-Minute Warning before later forming a superhero-themed tag team with The Hurricane. Rosie, who was the older brother of Roman Reigns, died from congestive heart failure in April 2017 at the age of 47. Bray Wyatt (1987–2023) Windham Rotunda, best known as Bray Wyatt, was a creative genius and three-time world champion. His eerie promos and reinvention as 'The Fiend' made him a modern-day icon. After battling heart issues exacerbated by COVID-19 complications, Wyatt died in August 2023 at just 36 years old. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce gets new nickname in Podcast
Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is living a real-life romantic comedy that his brother Jason joked could be a 'Pretty Woman' movie in reverse. The duo, who have become increasingly popular with their New Heights podcast, shared some light-hearted banter about the classic film. He recently highlighted Travis's high-profile relationship with global pop icon Taylor Swift. During a recent New Heights episode, the Kelce brothers discussed the iconic movie Pretty Woman . Travis sparked the conversation by suggesting a twist: a movie called 'Pretty Man.' He imagined a CEO billionaire woman so refined and high-class that she's clueless about everyday things, according to Athalon Sports. Jason quickly fired back with a joke that hit close to home. 'Travis, you're living Pretty Man right now,' he said, causing both brothers to burst into laughter. The comment playfully referenced Travis's relationship with Taylor Swift, portraying him as the high-class 'Pretty Man' in their dynamic. This banter offers a fun look into the personal lives of these two athletes beyond the football field. The story of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift adds an entertaining crossover between sports and music culture. In South Africa, where both American football and international celebrity culture continue to gain interest, their relationship highlights the allure of celebrity power couples worldwide. Jason Kelce, a well-respected NFL player himself, also revealed how their podcast has grown in popularity. Their playful references to Hollywood blockbusters like Pretty Woman show the lighter side of professional athletes, often lost amid headlines about scores and drafts. As their story unfolds, audiences can appreciate how the Kelce brothers blend charm and wit. It's proof that, beyond athletic prowess, personality and relatability can captivate fans worldwide. In Travis's words, straight from the podcast: 'We might just have to produce the 'Pretty Man' movie. Because I think I'm already auditioning for the role.' And judging by Jason's laughter and quick quip, this 'Hollywood remake' is very much underway, with Travis Kelce starring as the leading man.
