Grizzlies, Magic to play regular-season games in Berlin, London during 2025-26 season
Beginning in January, the Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic will make a two-game road trip to Berlin, Germany (Jan. 15) and London, England (Jan. 18) to play each other. Future games will be played in Manchester, England and Paris, France during the 2026-27 regular-season, and then in Berlin and Paris in the 2027-28 season.

The Berlin games will be the first during the regular-season as Germany has previously hosted 14 preseason contests. It will also serve as the homecoming for Franz and Moritz Wagner of the Magic. While London has seen nine preseason and 10 regular-season games played in the city, Manchester has only hosted a 2013 preseason game.
Paris has hosted five regular-season games with the most recent being the two-game set between the San Antonio Spurs and Indiana Pacers this past January. Those games featured the return of France's own Victor Wembanyama.
When Memphis and Orlando arrive it will be the fourth and fifth time the Magic will have played in Europe and fifth and sixth time for the Grizzlies.
The NBA is expected to announce the full 2025-26 schedule in August. Who will play in the 2026-27 and 2027-28 Europe games will be revealed at a later time by the league.

Chelsea sign 19-year-old Netherlands defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax
Chelsea have completed the signing of Netherlands defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax in a deal worth a reported £37million. The 19-year-old, who has been capped six times by his country, has signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge. He becomes the Blues' eighth signing of the summer transfer window. 'I'm very excited, I'm so happy to be here,' Hato, who can operate in central defence or at left-back, told the Premier League club's website. 'I thought a lot about my future and wanted to take the next step in my career. Chelsea is the best place for me to do that so I'm very happy.' Hato joined Ajax's academy from hometown club Sparta Rotterdam in 2018 and signed his first professional contract aged 16 four years later. He scored four goals in 111 appearances for the Eredivisie giants, with his international debut coming as a substitute in a 6–0 win against Gibraltar in November 2023. Club World Cup champions Chelsea begin the new top-flight season on Sunday, August 17 at home to London rivals Crystal Palace.

Miyu Yamashita of Japan wins the Women's British Open for her first major title
PORTHCAWL, Wales (AP) — Miyu Yamashita of Japan captured her first major title Sunday when she withstood a charge by Charley Hull by not making a bogey until the outcome of the Women's British Open was no longer in doubt. She closed with a 2-under 70 for a two-shot victory. Yamashita holed two big par putts on the back nine at Royal Porthcawl, the last one when Hull had closed to within one shot of the lead. Hull started the final round three shots behind. She holed a 20-foot birdie putt on the 14th to get within one shot. But the English star hit into a pot bunker off the tee at the 16th and did well to make bogey. She made another bogey on the 17th and had to settle for a 69 to tie for second with Minami Katsu of Japan. Japanese players now have won four of the last nine majors in women's golf.
