The posh retailer's own-brand version, which comes in a pack of three and costs £2.40, scored highly with shoppers in terms of sweetness and strength of chocolate flavour, as well as vanilla flavour.
The chocolate sticks were some of the most expensive own-label ice creams included in the taste test, at 80p per lolly, but still came in 46% cheaper than the branded Magnum ones.
Magnum's classic ice creams also scored 82% overall among blind taste testers.
Shoppers loved the well-balanced sweetness, vanilla flavour and indulgent creamy texture of the classic hot weather treats.
However, at £3.50 for a pack of three, they came out the priciest of all the ice creams tested.
Lidl's Gelatelli Classic ice cream sticks came third in the Which? taste test, with a 79% score.
The pack of six, costing £2.85, was well-liked by tasters who said they had just the right sweetness, creaminess and vanilla flavour.
They were also one of the cheapest ice creams in the round-up, costing just 48p per lolly.
Aldi Gianni's milk chocolate ice creams came in fourth with a score of 77%. A pack of four costed £1.69.
Shoppers weren't so impressed with the texture of the ice cream on these though and some said it wasn't creamy enough.

But at just 42p per ice cream, they offer a decent quality budget-friendly option, especially if you don't have a Lidl near you.
Iceland's Belgian milk chocolate Majestics also scored 77%, with a pack of four costing £2.
Tasters said the ice creams looked great and creamy, but nearly a third said they were too sweet.
How the other supermarkets scored
Waitrose's milk chocolate sticks scored 74%, with tasters liking them overall but almost half saying the vanilla flavour was too weak.
Shoppers can buy a pack of three for £2.25 (75p per ice cream).
Morrisons' classic milk chocolate amour sticks, costing £2.25 for a pack of three (75p each), scored 73%.
Half of the tasters thought the ice cream wasn't creamy enough but otherwise they fared well.
Asda's milk chocolate coated ice creams received a score of 72% with most people happy with the sweetness and strength of chocolate flavour.
Customers can pick up a pack of three for £2.10 (70p per ice cream).
Tesco's milk chocolate ice creams also scored 72% with tasters, but just over half thought the vanilla flavour was too weak.
A pack of three is priced at £1.39, or 46p per ice cream.
Co-op's dipped milk chocolate vanilla ice creams scored 69% in the taste test - a pack of three costs £2.10 (70p each).
Tasters said the ice cream on these wasn't creamy enough and the chocolate wasn't chocolatey enough.
Jessica Carson, Which? food and health editor, said: "Cooling down with a delicious ice cream on a hot day is the stuff that summer holidays are made of, so having a box full in the freezer is bound to please - whether you are entertaining or you've got kids.
"While the Classic Magnum wasn't beaten in our test, one supermarket brand matched it and a bargain alternative from Lidl wasn't far behind - and is less than half the price."

Keep a close eye on the specialbuys at Aldi and middle of Lidl drops which drop a couple of times a week and usually mean great value seasonal items such as beach gear and paddling pools.
If you are not in a hurry to buy an item, try adding it to the shopping cart and leaving it for a couple of days.
Sometimes big brands will try to tempt you into the sale by offering you a discount.
Always check if you can get cashback before paying. It's especially worth using sites such as Topcashback, Quidco and app Jamdoughnut when buying bigger ticket items such as garden furniture as you'll get a nice kickback.

Egypt's non-oil business conditions deteriorate further in June, PMI shows
July 6 (Reuters) - Egypt's non-oil private sector experienced a further decline in business conditions in June, with contractions in output and new orders accelerating, according to the latest S&P Global Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data released on Sunday. The headline PMI fell to 48.8 in June from 49.5 in May, marking the fourth consecutive month below the 50.0 threshold that separates growth from contraction. This decline was driven by weaker demand and a sharp reduction in purchasing activity, which saw its steepest drop in 11 months. "June PMI data pointed to another mild decline in the health of the non-oil sector, driven by sustained decreases in incoming new orders and output volumes," said David Owen, economist at S&P Global Market Intelligence. "Overall expectations for future activity were the lowest ever recorded in June, reflecting subdued hopes for order books, as well as concerns that geopolitical risks could cause greater economic disruption." Employment in the non-oil sector also decreased for the fifth month running, though the rate of job shedding was fractional. Firms expressed limited optimism towards future output, with confidence slipping to a record low. On a positive note, input cost pressures softened, leading to a slower rise in output prices and offering some relief to businesses facing inflationary pressures.

Shoppers say 'move over Baileys' after trying Tesco's award-winning Irish cream
Coole Swan, the award-winning Irish cream liqueur, is now available for £20 in selected Tesco stores with a Tesco Clubcard, down from £26.50. Some people say it's better than Baileys Fans of Irish cream know the simple pleasure of unwinding on a summer evening with a glass of something smooth, creamy and indulgent. The brand that immediately comes to mind is, of course, a cult classic Baileys but there's another bottle that our very own shopping editor highly recommends that rivals it in taste - and it's currently on offer at Tesco. Coole Swan, the acclaimed Irish cream liqueur, is now available for just £20 in selected Tesco stores with a Tesco Clubcard, down from its usual price of £26.50. Cheaper than Amazon's price of £25.95, it's a saving of £6.50 on a drink that some people are saying is 'like Baileys, but better. Made with single-malt Irish whiskey, Belgian white chocolate, and fresh dairy cream from the brand's family farm in Ireland, Coole Swan is a true testament to high-quality ingredients and careful blending. In fact, one customer said it's in a 'different league' to other drinks - quite the compliment. It's not just customers who are marvelling at this concoction - the drink has also won prestigious awards. This includes Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and being named the #1 Irish cream liqueur by Tasting Table, reports the Manchester Evening News. Testing it alongside Baileys, a long-standing favourite, Narin explained: "Putting the two glasses next to each other, it's easy to see one of the key differences in ingredients reflected in the colour of the glorious nectars. Coole Swan's Belgian white chocolate origins give it a lighter colour than Baileys' rumoured milk chocolate blend. You'd imagine that Coole Swan, being white chocolate-based, would taste sweeter, but to my surprise - and possibly due to the strength of the malt -it tasted more mellow, smoother, and had less of an initial kick. "While I love Baileys, for me, the taste comes in stages - you have the initial sweet scent and then the first hit of warmth when you swallow, and then it's eased by the cream that extinguishes the fire. Coole Swan has all of the same elements, but somehow they blend in a way where you get them all simultaneously - there's no fiery undertone and no sweet hit; it's just all beautifully, perfectly balanced from the first sip." Narin added: "Both drinks have a similar alcohol volume - Baileys is 17% while Coole Swan is 16% ABV - but Coole Swan feels less boozy, making it drinkable to the point of moreish. But for me, there's one thing that makes Coole Swan a next-level Irish cream choice and worth the slightly more expensive price tag." There are a large number of equally as delicious alternatives on the market with similar price tags, such as Hotel Chocolat's Espresso Martini flavoured vodka liqueur priced at £23, often compared to a decadent liquid tiramisu, and Micil Connemara Irish Cream Liqueur which is slightly pricier at £27.67. However Coole Swan has over 1,200 glowing reviews and an impressive 4.7-star average on Amazon. Likewise, Tesco customers have lavished a stellar 4.7 out of five stars upon the liqueur. One happy Coole Swan customer shared their testimony and said: "This is so beautiful, creamy and a better class of liqueur. Move over, Baileys, there's a new drink in town." For one customer, it wasn't quite their cup of tea as they noted: "Nice drink but too sweet." That being said, fans of the drink have been singing its praises with another shopper raving: "The most delicious Irish cream liqueur I have ever tasted. Creamy, luxuriously smooth and very moreish. The taste of alcohol is not overwhelming either, which I find with Baileys and other Irish creams. Don't think I could go back to anything else after trying this; the only downside is the price." M&S' 'fabulous' £35 crossbody bag looks 'just like' £737 Bottega Veneta version
Marks and Spencer's bag looks very similar to a designer version - without the hefty price tag Marks and Spencer is selling a crossbody bag that bears a striking resemblance to a designer version. The retailer is well known for its fashion ranges and there may be a new favourite in stock now. The M&S Faux Leather Cross Body Bag, priced at £35, looks similar to one by designer brand Bottega Veneta - but for a fraction of the cost. The bag is currently only available in red, with the black and cream versions sold out online. Marks and Spencer also stocks the £55 Straw Shoulder Bag, and the Faux Leather Woven Shoulder Strap for £45. The retailer also has the Faux Leather Woven Clutch Bag for £35. Alternatively, shoppers looking for a different style could opt for the Next Tan Brown Leather Fringe Cross-Body Bag, priced at £35. New Look also has the Bright Red Quilted Faux Leather Mini Crossbody Bag for £21.99, while River Island stocks the £36 Cream Metal Handle Quilted Tote. M&S' Faux Leather Cross Body Bag looks similar to the designer version, with matching woven designs and zip fastenings. They both also feature a lined main compartment and a secure slip pouch. However, there are some differences between the two. The M&S version has a slightly thinner strap, while the designer version features flap closure that the cheaper option doesn't have. The Marks and Spencer bag has proven popular online, with many shoppers praising it in their reviews. One person said: "Fabulous. Great bag." A second wrote: "I love this little red bag which is just the right size to hold my essentials, and add a pop of colour to my outfits." A third added: "Stylish bag. Bought this in red and its gorgeous! Can't wait to use it." However, some shoppers were slightly less impressed, with one saying: "I really loved the style of the bag but I didn't like the zip, it kept getting stuck when I tried to open & close it, I don't know if it was a faulty zip but it was a lot of money to just make do." A second wrote: "Poor quality material and zip. Not worth the money." Despite this, others continued to praise the bag. One person said: "Lovely little bag just big enough for my items. Looks good and not cheap. Value for money." While the M&S Faux Leather Cross Body Bag is priced at £35, the Bottega Veneta Small Nappa Intrecciato Olimpia shoulder bag is currently priced at £737 on websites specialising in pre-owned items. This means shoppers could save around £702 by opting for the cheaper alternative.
