No improvement in student's condition: AIIMS
"We cannot say the condition is improving. We can say she is critical and stable. Her condition is the same as when she arrived at the hospital," said Dillip Kumar Parida, medical superintendent of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
She is under ventilator support in the burn ICU. She has severe internal injuries affecting important organs like the kidneys and lungs. A team of doctors is trying to provide the best treatment to the girl, the superintendent said.
"We are monitoring the patient 24x7. An expert team reviewed the health condition of the girl on Monday morning. They also discussed her situation with experts from AIIMS, Delhi. The patient's condition remains critical like Sunday. We have been saying that the 72-hour period is very crucial," Parida added.
He said fluid replacement and dialysis were carried out. "There was an increase in the body temperature of the patient.

We appeal to the people to pray for my sister," the 36-year-old said.
He said the individuals responsible for her sister's condition should not be spared. "Proper investigation is needed in my sister's case," he added.

Ahmedabad: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Gujarat will begin a large-scale genome mapping project focusing exclusively on its tribal communities. Teams of scientists will travel to towns and villages in 17 districts with significant tribal populations to collect 4,158 biological samples, including blood, leading to the creation of about 2,000 whole genome sequences (WGS) representing over 20 tribal communities. Officials said that while Gujarat samples were earlier part of the national-level Genome India Project, this is the first dedicated effort to build a reference genome database solely for the tribal population of one state.
