When is the 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 10 premiere? Date, cast, how to watch
The popular spinoff of ABC's flagship reality dating show "The Bachelor" (and its sister program "The Bachelorette"), will premiere July 7 following a nearly two-year hiatus.
"Bachelor in Paradise" follows contestants from seasons past as they inevitably entangle themselves in love triangles, love squares and sometimes even love pentagons.
And this season's roster of singles might look a little different to die-hard Bachelor Nation fans, as cast members from the "Golden Bachelor" and "Golden Bachelorette" are also, in a series first, going to be able to get in on the action.
"Fan favorites from the Golden seasons are joining the fun, proving once again that age is just a number as they bring their experience, and a little extra spice, to show the younger crowd how it's done," the "Bachelor in Paradise" logline reads.
The group, made of familiar faces (both older and younger) from the "Bachelor" franchise, will pack their bags and head to a new paradise in Costa Rica for a "second (or third) shot at love, hoping to turn a summer fling into something real."

‘Do Better.' ABC Is Under Fire After New Golden Bachelor Says He's ‘Cutting' Any Woman 60 Or Older
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Bachelor Nation is gearing up for the return of Bachelor in Paradise to the 2025 TV schedule, but it seems trouble may be brewing for another of the reality dating shows. The Golden Bachelor Season 2 lead Mel Owens went on a podcast earlier this month, where the 66-year-old said he told producers he wouldn't date any women over 60, and fans are calling on the network to 'do better' with its casting. Mel Owens, a former NFL player — who was cast to follow Gerry Turner as the second Golden Bachelor — went on the In the Trenches podcast on June 4, where he was asked how much control he had over the women cast for his season. He said he won't know anything about them until they exit the limos at Bachelor Mansion, but he said during the casting process producers asked him about the kind of women he wanted to date. Owens recalled: They asked me, like, 'What's your preferences?' So I just said 45 to 60, just being honest, right? And then the process went and I was selected. And then we had lunch with the executive producer. I said, 'If they're 60 or over, I'm cutting them.' [He said] 'Oh no, you can't. This is not The Silver Bachelor, this is The Golden Bachelor.' He goes, 'But they're gonna be hot, don't worry about it.' Say what you want about Gerry Turner, but The Golden Bachelor's first season warmed viewers' hearts with its messages about hope and never being too old to find love, so as a longtime Bachelor Nation fan, I'm kind of surprised to hear that the Season 2 star apparently has a pretty specific age limit when it comes to who he'll date. It's unclear which producers he told this to, but it's disappointing to hear that they apparently knew Mel Owens has no interest in dating women his age and decided to cast him anyway. For context, none of The Golden Bachelor's cast members were under 60 in its premiere season, and The Golden Bachelorette had just one 59-year-old (Mark Anderson). Owens continued: I know they're gonna be beautiful, I know they are. But I had no say in them. I had no résumé. But they asked me what is my profile. Well they gotta be fit, because I stay in shape, work out and stuff. And I told him, 'Try to stay away from the artificial hips and the wigs,' you know, that kind of stuff. This definitely isn't a great look for ABC, and Bachelor Nation viewers are not taking these comments lightly. The Golden Bachelor's second season hasn't even begun filming yet, but already fans are speaking out about the decision to cast Mel Owens after hearing his comments on the podcast. On the official Instagram announcement made by ABC months ago, social media users are returning to comment on the latest developments, writing: Too bad he's a walking red flag before the season even started. Do better ABC! – Did you really keep telling us you are going to 'do better' with casting and then cast a Golden Bachelor who has said he would 'cut any woman 60+ on night one'? – sherrieatsplants This man is a walking red flag, and definitely doesn't signal to me personally that this franchise is interested in doing better… – Too bad he's not looking for a woman over 60 ☹️. I think for all the golden women who watch this show that's a real slap in the face. I for one won't be watching 😡 – kathy4more The Bachelor franchise has already been under fire the past few years, particularly over its casting of men (Golden and otherwise) who have had restraining orders against them or been involved in race-related scandals and other controversial behavior. In March, executive producers Claire Freeland and Bennett Graebner exited the franchise amid accusations of a toxic workplace environment, and the 2025 cycle of The Bachelorette was canceled. Mel Owens' comments are a really tough pill to swallow. I don't want to see 40- and 50-somethings on The Golden Bachelor, but I also don't want the quarterback-turned-lawyer to pretend to date women he's not interested in. It's quite a pickle, but while we wait to see if ABC or Mel Owens addresses the comments, Bachelor in Paradise is set to premiere at 8 p.m. ET Monday, July 7, on ABC and streaming the next day with a Hulu subscription.

After Jesse Palmer And Wells Adams Express ‘Hope' For Age-Gap Relationships In Paradise, Bachelor Alums Shared Their Strong Feelings
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Bachelor in Paradise has yet to kick off its 10th season on the 2025 TV schedule, but already the addition of Golden franchise contestants has created buzz around the reality dating spinoff. In fact, after host Jesse Palmer and bartender Wells Adams commented on the potential of age-gap romances, a couple of former contestants weighed in with some strong opinions. Age-gap romances are all the rage right now, if not in movies like The Idea of You, Babygirl and even Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, we're seeing one play out in real life between 73-year-old football coach Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson. However, in the eyes of some Bachelor Nation alumni, that shouldn't be the goal of the franchise. In an Instagram post from the podcast Chicks in the Office that referenced Bachelor in Paradise host Jesse Palmer's comments in a recent interview, The Bachelor Season 25 winner Rachael Kirkconnell commented to say: Hm don't think we should be encouraging 50 year age gaps. Jade Roper — who has been married to Tanner Tolbert for nine years after meeting on Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 — commented simply, 'Ew,' and when asked if she could expand on why she took issue with the thought of The Golden Bachelor contestants dating the younger cast members, Roper responded: I was on this show, it would've made me feel very uncomfortable having six old men trying to hit on me constantly on a beach for a month. Is that good enough for you? So what exactly did the Bachelor in Paradise bartender and host say to inspire the backlash? While the Instagram post mentioned above cites Jesse Palmer in an US Weekly interview as the one hoping for intermingling between the differently aged contestants, the college football broadcaster actually seemed hesitant to share his feelings when Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson were brought up. Check out the actual interview clip below: While Jesse Palmer does say, 'Yeah, hopefully they'll… yes,' that doesn't sound to me like a fully thought-out endorsement. Rather than continuing on that line of thinking, he merely referenced Bill Belichick's viral CBS interview by saying: There's something I want to say about a recent interview, but I won't. Bartender Wells Adams, meanwhile, seemed more into the idea, saying he was 'hopeful' about seeing some crossover between the two casts. He also mentioned the real-world example, saying: This happens all the time in the real world. Look at Bill Belichick right now. It's happening in front of us all the time. I don't know if it will, but I think it'll be cool to have the Goldens around. By all accounts, those involved seem to be thrilled that fan-favorites like Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston were part of the summer spinoff, with reports coming out of filming that the Goldens were partying even harder than the younger cast members. As for age-gap romances, though, Levingston shut that down and said audiences can 'rest assured' none of that went down. ‘Just Don't Make It Weird.' Jesse Palmer Addresses Potential Bachelor In Paradise Age Gap Romances After Backlash From Alumni
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. We're less than a week away from Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 hitting the 2025 TV schedule, and there's both excitement and nervousness surrounding the revamped reality dating spinoff. After a disastrous ninth season and one-year hiatus, changes are coming, including the addition of contestants from The Golden Bachelor. Host Jesse Palmer spoke out again about potential age-gap romances after his and Wells Adams' previous comments drew backlash from alumni. Jesse Palmer paid a visit to Live with Kelly and Mark this week, and Kelly Ripa expressed concern about relationships forming between Golden cast members and their younger counterparts. The host confirmed it was an issue that he brought up with the dating show contestants, saying: This is what I said. I said, 'Listen, obviously we've got two generations sharing the beach at the same time. I can't tell anybody who you can love and who you can't love.' But I encouraged everybody to stay in their generational lane. And above all else, don't make it weird. Just don't make it weird. That was the biggest thing. Jesse Palmer reminded the talk show hosts that the Goldens are 'deserving' of another chance at love, too, and he admits he encouraged The Bachelor/Bachelorette alums to get to know them — just not for the purposes of romance. He said: I was in the young cast's ear the entire time, explaining to them, 'You've got to pick their brains. They have had so much life, they've had so much experience. You need to get into their psyche and learn about things.' Kelly Ripa wasn't the only one who was nonplussed with the idea of combining the casts of the two shows. Rachael Kirkconnell said she didn't think age-gap relationships should be encouraged, while Jade Roper — who met her husband Tanner Courtad on Bachelor in Paradise Season 2 — said she would have been uncomfortable in that situation when she was on the show. These comments followed Wells Adams (and Jesse Palmer, possibly to a lesser degree) expressing 'hope' that there would be some co-mingling between the two age groups. As for whether or not it happened, the host played it coy, saying: I'm not going to say it didn't happen. You're going to have to tune in and watch. But that was kind of how we structured it. Jesse Palmer may not be willing to reveal what happened on the beach ahead of the Season 10 premiere, but The Golden Bachelorette's Gary Levingston had no issue saying what didn't happen. Speaking to the possibility of Goldens dating the 20- and 30-somethings, he said viewers can 'rest assured, we're not going to be dating the younger kids.' The Bachelor in Paradise discourse over dating age comes at an interesting time for the franchise, as ABC and its Season 2 Golden Bachelor Mel Owens are under fire for viral comments he made on a podcast. In discussing the casting process, the 66-year-old said on the In the Trenches show that he told The Golden Bachelor producers he would eliminate any woman over the age of 60 on his season. Hulu: 30-Day Free TrialBoth Hulu's Ad-Supported and Ad-Free tiers give subscribers access to everything the platform has to offer, including original shows and next-day airings of series like Bachelor in Paradise. New and eligible returning customers can enjoy a whole month of the service for free before paying, with plans starting from $9.99 a Deal Seeing as The Golden Bachelor has never had a cast member under 60 (The Golden Bachelorette included one 59-year-old), it'll be interesting to see how things play out now that the podcast quote has made the rounds. In the meantime, though, I'll be tuning in to see our revamped Bachelor in Paradise when Season 10 premieres at 8 p.m. ET Monday, July 7, on ABC and streaming the next day with a Hulu subscription.
