Pirates legend Fish says the pressure is on Chiefs in Nedbank final

Orlando Pirates legend Mark Fish believes it is Kaizer Chiefs who will be feeling the heat when the two side's clash in Saturday's Nedbank Cup final.

The Buccaneers will go into the game at the Moses Mabhida Stadium as clear favourites. Pirates have already won the MTN8 this season, are putting up a decent fight in the Betway Premiership title race, and reached the Caf Champions League semifinals.
Pirates are knockout kings
The Buccaneers have won the MTN8 three times in a row under Spanish coach Jose RIveiro, and are also going for three Nedbank Cups on the spin.
Nasreddine Nabi's Chiefs, meanwhile, have had a dismal campaign in the Premiership and are in danger of missing out on qualification for the MTN8 for the second campaign in a row. If Amakhosi lose to Pirates on Saturday, they will have gone a decade without a single piece of Premier Soccer League silverware.
'It's a cup final, so obviously it's a big game for both teams,' Fish told Showmax Premier League.
'However, if you look at the progress of the two teams, this game is massive for Chiefs, while for Pirates it's just another game.'
'Obviously the new coach has been there for (only) a season, but him and the players will understand that this is a very big game for them. It's a massive occasion.'

'Not difficult to predict a winner'
And Fish has no doubt that it is Pirates who will emerge triumphant on Saturday.
'It's not difficult to predict a winner in my opinion. Pirates are the favourites and I expect them to get the job done and handle the expectations of a cup final.'

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has explained why his key players Lucas Ribeiro Costa, Peter Shalulile, and Khuliso Mudau were missing this past weekend. The trio were absent during the team's 4-0 win over Richards Bay FC in the MTN8 quarter-final on Sunday at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville. While Ribeiro trained with the squad last week, there has been speculations over Mudau and Shalilule's futures at the club. The latter is linked with a high-profile move to Esperance 'All those things are being sorted out by the club and I'm sure they will be public in proper time,' Cardoso said on Sunday. 'I understand what's happening with Lucas, Peter, or Thapelo Morena, who was not here today [Sunday] because he had a small injury. But as a coach, I would want to have the team as complete as possible, and all coaches want to receive reinforcements for the new season as quickly as possible. 'So it's not where we are, but it doesn't mean we can't cope with our responsibilities. As a coach, I have to work on solutions rather than problems. 'It's obvious that we would have loved to start the season where we ended with all the players, but no one should think that Mamelodi Sundowns will be at a level that it shouldn't be in. I'm sure the people in charge will take responsibility to organise the issues in a proper time,' Cardoso added. Mudau is yet to agree on a new deal with Masandawana while Shalulile is looking for an exit after limited gametime last season under Cardoso.
