Rain, rain, go away! Ahmedabad crowd groans as showers greet PBKS & MI players; fans still hopeful for IPL action
The toss was done, the players were warmed up, and all was set for Qualifier 2 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. But just as the players stepped onto the field at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the 7:30 PM start, the rain returned. It had been drizzling on and off since yesterday, with the pitch staying covered throughout.
There was no rain at the time of the toss, but the covers remained on as a precaution. However, just as the match was about to begin, the skies opened up. Within minutes, the rain intensified, forcing players to leave the dugout and head back to the dressing rooms. The game has a 120-minute window before overs start getting deducted.

Bad news for Kohli's RCB, star cricketer will be questioned for...
In this collection of pictures we shall know the bad news for Virat Kohli's RCB as star player has got into a serious problem. Let's know what happened. Royal Challengers Bengaluru's fast bowler Yash Dayal is in trouble. A woman has accused him of mental and physical abuse on the pretext of marriage. According to India Today's report, the woman from Ghaziabad has registered the case on the Chief Minister's online complaint portal. The report quoted sources as saying that the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Office has sought a report from the Circle Officer of Indirapuram in this matter. The police have been given time till July 21 to resolve the matter. The woman has also lodged a complaint on the women's helpline on June 14, 2025. In the FIR lodged by the woman, she has stated that she was in a relationship with Yash Dayal for five years and the cricketer has been mentally and physically abusing her since then. The statement also states that the fast bowler also took money from her during this period and he has done this with many women. The woman said that she has proof of screenshots, video calls and photos apart from the chats between the two. The statement reads, "The complainant has been in a relationship with the cricketer for the last five years. The cricketer exploited the woman emotionally, mentally and physically by promising to marry her. The cricketer introduced the complainant to his family and behaved like a husband, which made the woman trust the cricketer. When the complainant realised the deception and protested against it, she was beaten and mentally tortured. During the relationship, the complainant was also harassed financially and emotionally." It further reads, "Later it was found out that this person was in a similar wrong relationship with other girls. On 14 June 2025, a complaint was lodged on the women's helpline by calling 181, but the action could not proceed further at the police station." Yash Dayal is the same player on whose ball Rinku Singh hit five sixes in five balls in the last over of the IPL match and gave Kolkata Knight Riders a win. Yash used to play for Gujarat Titans then and later joined RCB.

Good news for Nita Ambani's MI as star player smashes century in...
In this collection of pictures we shall know the good news for Nita Ambani's Mumbai Indians as star player from their team has smashed a century. Let's dive in. As the current Test cricket champions, South Africa had a rough start in their return match in Bulawayo against Zimbabwe, but they finished the day in a way no one expected. A messy morning left them struggling, but later they showed strong determination and achieved some amazing milestones. Corbin Bosch, star player from Nita Ambani's MI smashed a maiden century in all cricket format against Zimbabwe. The star cricketer alo reached his second Test match half-century off 77 balls. Corbin Bosch's Test cricket journey has been full of highs and lows. He first played last year against Pakistan and hit 81 runs without getting out, helping South Africa when they were in trouble. But later in the same match, he got out for zero in the last innings. Still, South Africa managed to win the game by just two wickets in a tense finish. Corbin Bosch wasn't picked for the World Test Championship final, as Lungi Ngidi was chosen instead. But he was brought back for the game in Zimbabwe, as South Africa decided to focus on younger players, keeping only four from the team that won the trophy at Lord's. Famous for his fast right-arm bowling, Corbin Bosch got five wickets in his first Test match. In this game, he is part of a young bowling group that includes 19-year-old Kwena Mapahaka, first-timer Codi Yusuf, and Wiaan Mulder, who is back to playing at number three.

Watch: Harpreet Brar joins India's nets session at Edgbaston ahead of 2nd Test
As India prepare for the second Test against England at Edgbaston, a familiar face from the IPL drew attention during their practice session. Punjab Kings spinner Harpreet Brar was seen bowling in the nets alongside the Test squad in Birmingham, prompting speculation among fans and observers known for his left-arm spin and all-round abilities in the IPL, is not part of India's official Test squad for the tour. He was also seen wearing a training outfit different from the team's official kit, suggesting that he was invited as a net bowler or guest to assist the team's preparations, rather than being formally included in the paaji's left arm magic in #TeamIndia's camp! #ENGvIND # Punjab Kings (@PunjabKingsIPL) June 28, 2025advertisementThe Indian bowling attack is under pressure heading into the Birmingham Test, after a disappointing loss in Leeds. Jasprit Bumrah's five-wicket haul in the first innings gave India a strong start, but his second-innings spell lacked impact as England chased down 371 with ease. The rest of the pace attack struggled for control, and India's spin option—Ravindra Jadeja—managed just one wicket across both innings. With changes likely, there is growing speculation that wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav could be brought into the XI for the second Test. His inclusion would offer more variation, especially if India opt to rest Bumrah, who is reportedly being considered for rotation as part of workload management across the five-match presence at training may not signal a call-up, but it does highlight the team's interest in diversifying their spin resources. With conditions at Edgbaston often offering turn as the game progresses, the management's approach toward spin combinations could be a key factor as India look to keep their batters prepared to face the turn of the pitch, which can be key for their aim to bounce back in the series.- Ends
