Morrisons launches UK supermarket first with brand new £1.50 drinks ‘on tap'
The retailer is now selling award-winning cocktails from The Drinks Bureau 'on tap' ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
There are three different classics to choose from, including Lychee Martini, Strawberry Daiquiri and of course, the Passion Fruit Martini.
Each ready-to-drink cocktail is served in a 1.5L box with its own tap – much like those boxed wines we couldn't get enough of in the 00s.
Priced at £15 per box, or £12 for Morrisons More Card customers, shoppers will get 10 servings out of each at 10% abv.
This works out at around £1.50 per serving for each drink, which is a bargain when you consider most pre-mixed tinnies cost more than £2 each.
The cocktail boxes are available exclusively in more than 280 stores nationwide from May 21, but only for a limited time, while stocks last.
Frankie Snobel, founder of The Drinks Bureau said: 'If you love delicious cocktails and enjoy sipping with friends, then you can't miss this stunner of a deal at Morrisons.
'We're passionate about spreading cocktail joy and our seriously tasty 'on tap' Party Boxes are the perfect way to celebrate the summer!'
This comes after Morrisons recently unveiled a brand new three for £10 offer for More Card customers. More Trending
This deal runs across meat and fish products and includes options such as BBQ Asian Style Salt & Pepper Pork Belly Slices, Tikka Chicken Breast Steaks, Smash Burgers, Hot Honey Chicken Wings, Smoked Haddock, Scallops and Streaky Bacon.
Shoppers have praised the offer, with True Dream, writing on Facebook: 'That's a fantastic deal and perfect for a barbecue!'
Similarly, Dharmeshta Mistry said: 'Great prices!'

But the new deal did come at the expense of two previous ones – Fish Fridays and Steak Saturdays, which were quietly axed by the retailer.

Why you need to start toy hauls for Christmas today – one savvy shopper shows where to snap up Star Wars figures for 1p
GIVEN we have just hit August, it may seem very early to be thinking about buying Christmas presents. However, a shopper has revealed how they made a huge dent in their shopping list thanks to a toy sale at Sainsbury's - with some items down to 1p. 5 5 Shopper Sam wrote on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK: 'Thank you to the people that posted about the Sainsbury's sale. 'I have started my Christmas shopping.' They shared the huge haul of presents they walked away with for a discounted price - and they looked like they'd keep kids very happy indeed. The best discount they found was Star Wars figures down to just a penny. The bargain hunter added: 'Everything was marked on the shelf apart from the 1p Star Wars but I was using the scanner so thought I would check.' The shopper also snapped up some Ninja Turtles plush toys, and showed how they had picked up three different characters. These were just £2 in the sale, and could be ideal for stocking fillers. She wrote: 'Gutted they didn't have all four but they had duplicates left.' They also got some Hot Wheels Colour Revealing toys that looked like they would be a big hit for car enthusiasts. These were down to just £3.50 in the supermarket sale - and she had found them in the Cheshire Oaks shop. Home Bargains is selling a 'fantastic aquarium' and rainbow sprinkler for cheap - it's great for the warmer weather 5 CLOTHES SALE We recently shared how Sainsbury's has launched a huge baby clothes sale and some of the products cost just 90. The brand's sale has seen them halve the cost of some of their products and some of them are perfect for summer holidays. Sainsbury's has a massive collection of clothes, available through its fashion brand Tu. Their babywear is particularly popular and the supermarket has slashed the price of many of its products as part of a massive sale. Its collection of bibs - which can read 'I love you mummy' or 'daddy' - now cost just £1.50, after a 50 per cent price reduction. However, some products now cost even less than that. The My First Holiday T-shirt is perfect for vacations with your baby and costs just 90p. Other products in the sale include animal themed leggings, which come in a variety of colours and designs. The blue leggings have elephants printed on them, while the yellow pairs have giraffes included on their design. The leggings, which can also have apple designs on them, cost £1.50. How to save money on Christmas shopping Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping. Limit the amount of presents - buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb. Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you're not having to buy multiple presents. Plan ahead - if you've got the stamina and budget, it's worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales. Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you're not forking out more than you should though. Buy in Boxing Day sales - some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25. Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent. Shop via outlet stores - you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts. They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.

Ex-Premier League ace gets £15MILLION windfall after selling stake in health drink firm which helped his injury recovery
The forward had four seasons in the Premier League playing for Reading and West Brom GOLDEN GOAL Ex-Premier League ace gets £15MILLION windfall after selling stake in health drink firm which helped his injury recovery Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A FORMER Premier League star has netted £15 million after selling his stake in his health drink company. Ex-Wales and West Brom striker Hal Robson-Kanu, 36, had founded The Turmeric Co. brand after saying shots of turmeric helped him battle injury setbacks. Now, his company Innate-Essence has sold its majority stake of 50.01 per cent to Irn-Bru makers AG Barr in a deal worth £15 million. Among his praises for turmeric, Robson-Kanu said it had helped him to recover from a cruciate knee ligament rupture when he was just a teenager. Following his recovery, he founded both The Turmeric Co. brand as well as Raw Hydrate. The popular drinks are sold by Sainsbury's and Ocado as well as in David Lloyd sports clubs across the country. Keeping him in touch with his footballing past, Premier League sides Everton and Brentford also sell the beverages. Outside of football, Robson-Kanu's brands have partnerships with top rugby sides Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers as well as British Gymnastics. Robson-Kanu won 46 caps for Wales and scored in the historic 3-1 win against Belgium to put them into the semi finals of Euro 2016. The ex-Prem player said: 'I created the brand as a convenient and great-tasting way to support wellness-conscious individuals and sportspeople like me. 'We've had a remarkable few years but with this latest milestone and such heavyweight backing, it feels like our journey is just beginning – we've unlocked a new level. I'm a former Premier League star - now I'm flogging my drink in Sainsbury's and thriving in my new career 'The international potential is huge, and we can't wait to see what we achieve next.' AG Barr said the investment was 'consistent with the company's strategy of acquisitions and innovation in highgrowth, health-focused, functional beverage categories'. It added: 'The investment has been funded from the company's net cash position. It is not expected to have a significant impact on revenue or profit in the current financial year.' In 2023, Robson-Kanu launched a campaign with Sainsbury's to promote his turmeric shots. The star appeared in an advert pretending to be a Sainsbury's shop floor worker just two years after his career came to an end. HOW ROBSON-KANU DISCOVERED TURMERIC 'GOLD' Earlier in 2023, he also opened up about the reasons behind his business ventures. After joining Reading's academy at the age of 15, Robson-Kanu suffered two severe injuries before breaking into the first team, both of which required surgery. He was told by club doctors that he would likely never play without pain and restriction in his knee again, prompting him to take prescribed painkillers. However, after these had an adverse effect on his body, the former Wales international turned to natural remedies. He told The Reading Chronicle: "It was at that point where me and my dad basically went on a research binge. We began looking at natural ways to recover from pain, inflammation and swelling. "We went to the library and scoured the internet. We looked at ancient Asian practices in eastern cultures where they would use natural remedies. "What we began to find was these natural ingredients which kept recurring, like watermelon, pomegranate, pineapple, ginger and turmeric in the raw format." The star said it was the raw ingredients that were key to having an impact on recovery and so he set out with his dad to source the ingredients for his magical blend. While the taste didn't land at first, they eventually perfected the blend of "raw, natural ingredients" into a "golden elixir". After adding more nutrients, micronutrients and macronutrients, Robson-Kanu said the "golden blend" was giving him a "real boost of energy". Regular consumption helped him make progress and eventually the pain and inflammation in his knee subsided, giving him full flexibility once more.

Morrisons makes major change to supermarkets customers will notice in stores now
The supermarket is aiming to "shine a light" on an important issue. Morrisons has announced this week that it will be implementing a significant change across its stores in a bid to "shine a light" on a crucial cause. The supermarket chain has revealed plans to turn one in four of its products yellow, along with its baskets, trolleys, café chairs and car parking spaces, to boost awareness for the charity Marie Curie. This new campaign, which kicked off on Monday, July 28, will see numerous Morrisons products and facilities adopting a daffodil yellow hue as part of its 'Every Pack Gives Back' scheme, reports the Manchester Evening News. The alterations aim to generate funds for Marie Curie through promotional items being bought by shoppers as part of Morrisons' pledge to raise £15million for the charity. David Scott, Corporate Affairs Director at Morrisons, explained: "We want to shine a light on the importance of end of life care and so turning one in four of our baskets, trolleys, café chairs, and even car parking spaces yellow is a simple but powerful way to start a national conversation about something that affects us all. "In the coming weeks, Morrisons customers can help raise vital money for Marie Curie by buying a promotional 'Every Pack Gives Back' - the brand will then donate a percentage of the sale price to the charity." Morrisons shoppers will be able spot a sea of new yellow packaging on promotional items such as Innocent Orange Juice, Pampers Nappies, and Soreen Malt Loaf as they browse the aisles. From next week, these yellow packaged goods will also be available to online customers, with the store's website set to feature them from Monday, August 4. The promotion is scheduled to run until August 28. Morrisons has pledged that for each item sold under the 'Every Pack Gives Back' campaign, a portion of the proceeds will go to Marie Curie. A variety of products including Morrisons food-to-go sandwiches, London Essence Indian Tonic Water, and MOJU Ginger Vitality Dosing Bottle Shots, along with seasonal aisle selections, will don a special 'Every Pack Gives Back' label, making it easier for consumers to spot and support this charitable cause. Marie Curie's Chief Executive, Matthew Reed, commented: "Far too many people are still dying without the care and support they need. What's more, we've seen demand for our services increase significantly in recent years, with a growing gap between those needing end of life care and those who receive it." He further stated: "Through our partnership with Morrisons, we're aiming to help more local communities and families receive the best end of life care possible, whatever the illness, wherever they are." Morrisons has also announced that it will be selling a limited edition Bag for Life throughout August, in addition to launching a Marie Curie branded grocery delivery van, hosting in-store fundraising events and volunteer-led collections. The More Card app will also turn yellow to highlight the fundraising efforts. This follows Morrisons' recent update to its loyalty scheme, allowing More Card members to convert their weekly shopping points into a monetary donation to Marie Curie. With the updated More Card feature, customers can now donate their points to the charity via the More Card App or More Website, with 1,000 points equating to a £1 donation. These initiatives follow Morrisons' announcement that it has already raised £2.6m for Marie Curie since the inception of their partnership with the charity in November 2024.
