Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramprasad Reddy said that the coalition government was committed to both development and welfare in State. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has an advanced vision plan for the integrated development of the State by the next five years, he said.
He added that the Minister for Roads and Buildings, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, meanwhile, played a crucial role in securing key road projects for the Rayachoti Assembly constituency. The Minister announced that the ongoing road works, including the Rayachoti-Vempalli road, would be completed promptly. Mr. Ramprasad Reddy further reiterated that measures to tackle the recent drinking water crisis would be taken up on a war-footing by digging new borewells in many villages across the district.
The Minister said that the construction of cement roads and drainage canals would also be undertaken on top priority. He hailed the efforts of Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in expediting National Highways' development across the country. 'The tunnel construction at Guvvala Cheruvu Ghat will commence soon, and this will end the frequent road accidents on the section,' Mr. Ramprasad Reddy said.
'Strengthening of the road network will significantly improve economic activity in the Rayalaseema region, particularly Annamayya district,' the Minister said.

Stability in policies for industries, particularly a focus on attracting investment by encouraging investors, remains the hallmark of Telangana government, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Thursday. Be it the Congress regime led by YSR, TDP rule under N. Chandrababu Naidu (in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh) or BRS rule under K. The government's Telangana Rising vision document, for which multiple agencies, including those from Singapore, have been engaged, will be ready by December, he said. Malabar Group said the new facility is the largest among its 14 manufacturing units across India and the GCC countries. Spanning 3.45 lakh sq. ft on a land parcel of more than four acres, it brings all the critical operations such as design, refining, manufacturing, quality assurance, hallmarking, warehousing and supply chain management under one roof. It will have an annual production capacity of over 4.7 tonnes of gold jewellery and 1.8 lakh carats of diamond jewellery along with an annual gold refining capacity of 78 tonnes. Of the 2,750 skilled artisans to be employed, about 1,600 have been onboarded. The Group will be commissioning the refinery shortly. Chairman M.P. Ahammad and the senior leadership team members said total investment, with gold stocks, on the project is ₹1,000 crore, of which ₹200 crore is on the facility and equipment. About 40% of the workforce of the facility is recruited from local population. Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said Malabar Group, which is also into furniture manufacturing, to explore opportunities to set up production facilities for the same in Telangana.

Will not oppose irrigation projects on the Godavari in Telangana, asserts Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
Reiterating that the proposed Godavari-Banakacherla project would not harm the interests of any State, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday asserted that he had never opposed, nor would he oppose in the future any irrigation project that the Telangana government might take up on the Godavari. Mr. Naidu, who wound up his two-day tour of Kuppam constituency, was addressing the media. Responding to Telangana's opposition to the Banakacherla project, he said, 'I was the one who brought the Devadula Lift Irrigation project for Telangana in the unified Andhra Pradesh. After inspecting the Srisailam project, the SLBC, and the Madhav Reddy Canal, the Devadula project was built over the Godavari. I had also constructed two lift irrigation projects — Pushkara and Tatipudi — in Andhra Pradesh,' Mr. Naidu said. 'Both the upper and lower riparian States (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) can share the Godavari waters,' he observed. Pointing out that 2,000 tmc ft of Godavari water had been flowing into the sea over the past one hundred years, the Chief Minister said 'even if 200 tmc ft is utilised by either Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, it will benefit both the States.' Addressing the water issues would uplift the entire Telugu community, he asserted. Later, Mr. Naidu received grievances from the local people at his residence and left for Bengaluru for his onward journey to Amaravati.
