Khushi Kapoor Accepts Undergoing Cosmetic Surgery: ‘Why Lie? I Wasn't Born Looking Like This'
Khushi Kapoor admits to going under the knife and urges honesty about cosmetic procedures: 'I wasn't born like this, but I've always been honest about it.' The conversation around cosmetic treatments in the entertainment industry has always sparked debate—especially when it comes to transparency. While many celebrities either evade the topic or face criticism for admitting to it, Nadaaniyan actress Khushi Kapoor is bringing a fresh, honest perspective that has caught attention. In a recent interview with The Times of India, Khushi was asked about her views on artificial enhancements. Candid and composed, she admitted to having undergone cosmetic procedures and emphasized that it's a personal decision, 'I've always tried to be honest and open about whatever I'm getting done," she said. 'If someone wishes to get work done, it is their choice, and they should do what suits them." Khushi further explained that, in her view, celebrities should acknowledge the impact they have on their followers—especially younger audiences who may internalize unrealistic beauty standards, 'Getting work done and lying about it is unfair to younger girls who look up to you, because then they think, 'Oh, I don't look like that; why can't I?'" She admitted that being a public figure comes with inevitable judgment—regardless of what choices are made, 'People who question my decisions would have judged me either way," Khushi said, 'There is no real way to win in these kinds of discussions, so to have peace of mind, one should own up to their decision and worry less about what people will say." Khushi has addressed the topic before. In a previous interview with CurlyTales, she echoed similar thoughts, 'I don't think it's such a big deal. The main issue is that people are scared that they will get hate if they come out and admit it," she remarked. 'People think that the term 'plastic' is the biggest insult you can give someone, but I don't think it's bad if someone gets work done and stuff like that." Her comments come at a time when the conversation around cosmetic treatments and anti-ageing medications has become particularly sensitive. The recent death of actress Shefali Jariwala, who reportedly used such supplements and therapies, has reignited concerns about the risks associated with these practices. Police are currently investigating if the treatments contributed to her untimely passing. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Recently, during interaction with a media portal, she was asked about working with Prabhas in The Raja Saab. The actress praised him and said, 'All heroes in the industry have dupes to perform stunts. But in The Raja Saab, there wasn't much action in my scenes, and I got to act with the real Prabhas!" The Raja Saab, a romantic horror comedy directed by Maruthi, is releasing on December 5 2025. This film is being positioned as a lighter outing, showcasing the actor in a fun and entertaining avatar that contrasts with his recent intense roles. He also has an upcoming project with director Hanu Raghavapudi, tentatively titled Fauji, which is believed to revolve around themes of patriotism and drama, though details remain tightly guarded. The Raja Saab teaser begins by introducing fans to a haunted mansion, soaked with dark secrets from the past. As sinister energy and spirits lurk in the night, Prabhas takes it as a mission to wipe out the evil. The teaser consists of all the crucial elements of a Prabhas film – there's a massy entry, dance, dialogues, and the actor perfectly balancing action with comedy. One of the show-stealers from the Hindi version of the teaser has to be Prabhas asking Nidhhi whether she's ever fallen in 'Shah Rukh Khan wala pyaar". Apart from this, she also has action drama with Pawan Kalyan. Hari Hara Veera Mallu trailer has already been released, and it has been trending. Actress Nidhhi Agerwal has revealed that the sequel to the upcoming historical epic is already in motion. Krish and Jyothi Krishna's Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, is all set to release on July 24. This will mark Pawan Kalyan's first film after becoming the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh. However, it looks like the movie has hit a roadblock, with a Bahujan group voicing their protest over the film's titular character. The community has accused the makers of misrepresenting the story. Presented by AM Rathnam, Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 1: Sword Vs Spirit's power-packed trailer was released by the makers on July 3. It features Pawan Kalyan as a rebellious warrior who dares to defy the mighty Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, played by Bobby Deol. The 2-minute 56-second video begins with a voiceover that evokes the national spirit to protect Sanatana Dharma against the Delhi Sultanate. The Kushi star can be seen flexing his sheer personality with a commanding on-screen performance. First Published: July 17, 2025, 15:33 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
