The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred at a Walmart Saturday morning.
According to officials, the stabbing took place at approximately 9 a.m. at a Walmart located at 4611 State Highway 29 South in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Police say they found an individual with stab wounds upon arrival, and transported that individual to a local hospital. The condition of the victim is currently unknown.
Alexandria police say the suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, however the individual was later caught by police and taken into custody.
The details of the suspect's arrest are unknown at this time.

Police investigating overnight shooting near the Jack Stack Pool in Brighton Heights
Pittsburgh Police are investigating an overnight shooting that happened near the Jack Stack Pool in the city's Brighton Heights neighborhood. Police say officers from Zone 1 were called to the area of Brighton Woods Road just before 1:15 a.m. on Monday after receiving two ShotSpotter alerts that totaled 27 rounds. When officers arrived in the area, they found multiple shell casings and found a vehicle with gun on the floorboard. Police say that vehicles was towed from the scene of the shooting. Police say a man was dropped off at a nearby hospital a short time later with a graze wound to the head. He was last said to be in stable condition. KDKA's news crew at the scene witnessed the Mobile Crime Unit from the police bureau working to process evidence related to the shooting. Police say the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

3 hospitalized after fire spreads to 2 buildings on Chicago's Northwest Side
Three people were hospitalized after a fire spread to two buildings in Logan Square on Sunday night. Police said firefighters responded to the fire around 10 p.m., which had spread to two buildings in the 1900 block of North Central Park Avenue. Video from the scene showed fire crews working to contain the fire as flames tore through the roof of one of the buildings. Police said three people were able to safely escape the fire. A woman was taken to Stroger Hospital for smoke inhalation and was listed in serious condition. Two men were also taken to Stroger Hospital and are listed in fair condition. The Chicago Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
