Warning issued over potential dangers of slushy drinks
Earlier this month, parents were warned of the potential dangers of giving their children slushies.
This came after one toddler nearly died and several others were rushed to hospital.
A grandmother told that her two-year-old granddaughter was left "20 minutes from death" after having a slushy drink at a friend's birthday party.
Urgent warning over popular drink after toddler collapses in front of terrified mum
Also, in March doctors blamed slushies for a spate of 21 hospitalisations in children who needed medical care within an hour of consuming the drinks.
Brightly coloured slushies are a popular summer treat, often sold at cinemas, corner shops and theme parks when it is hot.
But the frozen drinks often contain glycerol, also called E422 or glycerine on some label, as a substitute for sugar to prevent them from freezing solid.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) say kids under seven should not be given the sweet icy drinks, which may contain high levels of a syrup that can be harmful to young children.

Hollyoaks summer trailer teases Jez's next victim and Dillon and Ste's affair

Things are heating up in Hollyoaks village and the brand-new official summer trailer has hinted at a forbidden romance, a shock revelation and a deadly showdown Hollyoaks fans can expect plenty of drama if the brand new Summer trailer is anything to go by. ‌ Things seem to be heating up in the village but not everyone will make it to Autumn alive. ‌ The official Six Weeks of Summer advert has hinted at upcoming storylines including the first-look at Fraser Black Snr (John Middleton) aka Froggy's debut as a tense confrontation between Froggy and his Granddaughter 'Clary Dary' Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) reveals his mission to get his family back. ‌ Meanwhile Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) makes a risky decision by whistleblowing on Clare's exploitation operation leading to his criminal sisters Clare and Grace Black (Tamara Wall) landing behind bars. He's ready to start afresh with Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and turn over a new leaf, but a sinister threat teases trouble afoot. ‌ Elsewhere, recovering addict Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) has been leaning on the Hay family for support after moving in with them and rekindling his relationship with Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis). However, in a shock twist, Dillon confesses to Lucas' dad Ste that he has feelings for him but how will the shocked dad react? ‌ Also, villagers gather in their glad rags to the sound of wedding bells but as serial killer groom Jez Blake's (Jeremy Sheffield) mask slips, husband-to-be John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) relapses and drunkenly destroys the allotment, will he discover the truth before the I dos or will mistress Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) out her affair with Jez at the alter? Smiling through the flames, Jez embraces who he has become and defends his "sacrificial" action, but by the horrified look on Sienna Blake's (Anna Passey) face teased in the brand-new trailer, it seems the apple does fall far from the tree. Confiding in mum Martha Blake (Sherrie Hewson) on his fears someone will take him down, could his next victim be his own daughter? Also, The Dog in The Pond is finally set to re-open its doors after months of repairs, but distracted Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) is a man on a mission when he hears that killer Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe) is still at large, unaware that his lover Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) is harbouring her son, will his vendetta lead him down a dangerous path? Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 from 7am

But for supermum Zoe Sullivan, it's an epic challenge. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 It's tricky for Zoe to cook for such a large family 2 The Cajun pasta is an instant hit Zoe, 46, and husband Ben, 50, have one of Scotland's biggest families with 12 children. The pair are parents to Elizabeth, 20, Olivia, 18, Noah, 15, Evangeline, 13, Tobias, 12, Agnes, seven, Joseph, six, Flo, three, and two sets of twins, Charlotte and Isabelle, 17, and Leah and Erin, nine. They have their own YouTube channel and in an episode this week Zoe was cooking up one of her family favourites, a viral recipe for Cajun chicken pasta. It only has seven core ingredients, takes 25 minutes to cook and costs less than £2 per portion - ideal for such a big brood. The vlog post reads: "It's perfect for busy parents, large families, or anyone looking for easy, tasty dinner ideas that kids and adults will love." Zoe was making the meal for four people in the afternoon and then another eight people later, for 12 of her 14-strong family. For her dozen, she cubes 12 chicken breasts and puts them in a bowl with 12 tablespoons of Cajun spice, and some oil to coat. She then fries the chicken in a pan until it's browned then adds around six garlic gloves - or six teaspoons of lazy garlic, six tablespoons of garlic puree and another six tablespoons of Cajun spice. Then Zoe adds 900ml of veg stock and 1,200ml of double cream to the chicken mix and cooks until the meat is cooked and the sauce thickens. Zoe then mixes the chicken mix and pasta together to complete the simple, family meal. The Moray mum said: "It's super yummy, it's really nice. It's creamy Cajun chicken pasta - try it for sure." I am a mum of 12, our life is crazy but I would have another baby tomorrow Zoe suggests leaving out a bit of spice if your kids don't like their food with too much kick and adding a bit of fresh parsley to finish off. One follower said: "It looks lovely I bet it tasted delicious, I shall be trying it myself." And another said: "The Cajun chicken looks really good, I'm watching this in the evening and it's making me hungry."

Coronation Street icon opens up on ‘imposter syndrome' after 34 years on TV

Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney has opened up about living with Imposter Syndrome, and how it impacts her in the acting industry. Claire currently plays Cassie Plummer in the ITV soap, but became a household name when she joined the cast of Brookside. In 1991, Claire's first scenes as Lindsey Corkhill aired. She then played the role until the show's end in 2003. It was landing this role that saw Claire first develop feelings of Imposter Syndrome, which often sees someone experience self-doubt over a long period of time. 'I kept quiet, watched and learned. I have terrible Imposter Syndrome. I still do now in Corrie, I still get it sometimes', the star said recently. In her chat with The Speakmans on their podcast, Claire added: 'Oh god all the time, all the time. Like what you said before, your instinct is like, 'Oh I've been very lucky', well actually I worked hard and I've earned the miles, do you know what I mean, I've earned my stripes, but I do still get it. 'I spent six years being shocked every time my contract got renewed, six years, even now, I never expect a contract to get renewed. I'm like why should we think [that]? Our business is not based on safety is it and security, it's transient.' Claire also said that she believes having no expectations with things like contracts keep her feeling humble. 'I still love learning, I still go for singing lessons, I'm always watching, like you know, working with Bill Roche, watching him work, I mean he's fantastic, Simon Gregson, I watch these people who have been in the show for years and I'm still learning.' Claire has played Cassie in Coronation Street since 2023. More Trending Recently, she was part of a dark storyline that saw Cassie drug Ken Barlow (William Roache). It started shortly after Cassie lost her job as Ken's carer. In order to continue having a stable income, Cassie began lacing Ken's drinks with drugs so he'd have no choice but to ask her for help again. She was ultimately caught out, when eagle-eyed Ken worked out what she was up to.
