The Police Squad is back with a whole bunch of brand new faces. Paramount just released its first fill trailer for its upcoming revival of "The Naked Gun", starring Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin, Jr. and it's exactly the kind of goofball humor fans of the previous films have come to expect. You can watch the trailer below.

Along with Neeson, the new "Naked Gun" stars Pamela Anderson, presumably as Neeson's love interest. Along with a chuckle worthy scene involving a chair, the trailer gives fans a funny shot where a fairly innocent oven cleaning is mixed up for something much more intimate between the characters.

Also starring in the comedy are Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Runnels and CCH Pounder.
The film is directed by Akiva Schaffer from a script by Schaffer, Dan Gregor, and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins serve as producers.
"The Naked Gun" was originally conceived from the writing team of David Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and Jerry Zucker, who were often known as ZAZ. They were looking to bring another spoof to the big screen after the 1980 hit "Airplane!"
Initially Paramount instead greenlit their police parody idea not as a film, but as the series "Police Squad!" Unfortunately "Police Squad!" was canceled after only a handful of episodes.
Eventually ZAZ realized the missing element to their concept was romance. One they added that into the script, Paramount greenlit "The Naked Gun" for the big screen.
"The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!" hit theaters in 1988 and did well, making $152 million against a production budget of $12 million. The film spawned two sequels, both of which turned a profit at the box office.
Last month, Pamela Anderson told Entertainment Weekly she's hoping the reboot gets to do follow-ups just like the original.
"I'm hoping people love it," Anderson said. "We had so much fun making it. I think it's timely for a beloved comedy like this. I'm a fan of the originals. As Liam [Neeson] says, 'We could all use a good giggle.' I pray we do more."
Anderson also said she loved working with Neeson and developed a close friendship with him. "We had many dinners out with the cast," Anderson recalled. "I invited him and his assistant over for romantic dinners with me and my assistant so our relationship stayed 'professionally romantic' during filming."

Worker Leaves Shoes at Customer's Door—Dog Instantly Claims His Prize
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. What began as a routine workday quickly spiraled into a real-life sitcom for one unlucky worker—whose only mistake was leaving his shoes by the door. In a viral TikTok posted Monday by user @lifeaedean, the man is seen slipping on his one remaining shoe while the culprit—a customer's dog—struts around proudly with the other, having stolen it like a furry little bandit showing off stolen treasure. "Took my shoes off at the door. Came back, dog's nicked my shoe," he says, launching what he jokingly calls "Operation Get My Shoe Back," as he and two others hilariously scramble to reclaim it. While the video had viewers in stitches, the dog's behavior isn't all that unusual. Canines often swipe shoes and socks—but what is it about our smelly footwear that makes it so irresistible? Dogs may take our shoes for several reasons, including teething, boredom, over-stimulation, anxiety, or just demanding attention or play, according to Vet Help Direct. Puppies often chew shoes to soothe their gums when teething, while dogs lacking physical or mental stimulation may act out to get a reaction. Some breeds, like retrievers, are bred to carry things in their mouths, so if you own one, you should remove any shoes from the door when you leave the house. Other dogs, especially those that are anxious or suffer from separation anxiety, might find comfort in your scent. To prevent your dog from chewing off your shoes, you should ensure they get plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation through walks, puzzle toys, and interactive play. You should also teach them commands like "leave" or "swap." It's important that you never chase your dog, as it can reinforce the behavior, making it look like a game. If problems persist, a veterinarian or a qualified animal behaviorist may help you out. The video quickly went viral on TikTok and it has so far received over 262,900 views and 22,900 likes on the platform. This dog didn't just steal a shoe—he stole the show. Leighowens7 said: "My dog did this with a stranger who was carrying a spare pair of boots with her. She missed her train. mortifying is an understatement." HenryParkin added: "I had this with my van keys, spent a good 10 mins searching before the customer realized." Karli Sando said: "The way it's looks at you, it's mocking you." Disbelief as Bride Shares Years-Old Voice Memo From Day She Met Husband

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A bride has gained traction online after sharing the voice note she sent to her best friend after her very first date with her now-husband—the internet has applauded the power of manifestation. Germaine Harney (@germainemurraymusic), 28, a wedding and events singer from Kent, U.K., posted a clip of herself and her husband, Sam Harney, 30, flashing their wedding bands on their big day, alongside a four-year-old voice note she sent to her best friend shortly after meeting him. The video has since racked up over 34,000 views. "Like, obviously I'm buzzing. I can't actually believe it. I'm honestly obsessed with him. He's gonna be my mother f****** husband," she told her best friend Sam in the message. Looking back on how it all began, Germaine said she and Sam met on the dating app Hinge. They had been chatting for three days when they arranged to meet for a coffee in a shopping center. A split image of Germaine and Sam on their wedding day showing off their rings. After grabbing coffee, it took just 20 minutes of conversation for her to feel certain he was the one she'd marry. They connected over shared interests in music, politics, and family. "I even had a ring on that was the same as his nan's engagement ring and he took a picture and sent it to his mom," she said. "He's just so smart, kind, loving and caring, supportive, charming and a little bit crazy. Literally the perfect man in my eyes." Germaine said she remembered feeling "so excited" when sending the voice note. She had been heading to dinner with her best friend and sent it to explain why she'd be late—caught up after what turned out to be a life-changing date. The early days of their relationship were a whirlwind. "Six days after we met he told me he loved me and asked me to be his girlfriend," she said. "He met all my family and I met his within the first week." The two spent nearly every day together for the first seven weeks, but then Sam got cold feet and ended things. A few weeks later, he called Germaine to explain what had happened, and the couple got back together. Within a year, they had bought a house and were expecting their first child. The pair got engaged in December 2023 at Sam's parents' house in London. He had planned to propose at a restaurant, but decided against it, thinking it wouldn't be private enough for Germaine, who preferred something low-key. "It was lovely! And the ring was exactly what I'd dreamed of," she said. Germaine also revealed that, while single, she had written a list of all the qualities she wanted in a future partner—including specifics like his appearance and favorite sports. "I showed him the list not too long ago and it's just a list about him before I even met him," she said. "I think I 'manifested' him in a way but I knew what I wanted and deserved in a partner so that's what I was looking for when he came along!" The video struck a chord with TikTok viewers, many of whom resonated with the idea of manifesting love. "Full circle moment right here," said Bailey. "Wait I say this and then this doesn't happen," added Amelia. "Manifestation at its finest! Congratulations," wrote Janay. "LOVE this. Wishing you a wonderful life together," shared another user.
