Saudi Arabia: GCC Citizens And Residents Can Now Perform Umrah Anytime
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can now perform Umrah at any time of the year, with entry permitted through all land, air, and sea ports. Permits for Umrah can be obtained conveniently through the official Nusuk application.
The decision is part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to streamline pilgrimage procedures and improve the overall experience for pilgrims.
In tandem with these measures, residents of GCC countries, not just citizens, are now eligible to perform Umrah using multiple types of visas. These include Umrah visas available via nusuk.sa, transit visas issued in partnership with Saudi Airlines and Flynas (saudia.com and flynas.com), and tourist visas that can be obtained through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official portal (ksavisa.sa).
To access the holy sites, all pilgrims, whether citizens or residents, are required to obtain a prior permit through the Nusuk app for Umrah and prayer in the Rawdah Al Sharifah, the sacred chamber in the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.
On June 10, Saudi Arabia resumed issuing Umrah visas to international pilgrims. The ministry started issuing Nusuk Umrah permits on June 11.
In the Umrah season calendar, the ministry clarified that it will stop accepting applications for qualifications of external agents, with contracts with Umrah companies being approved and documented on the first day of Shaaban of the following year.
The first of Shawwal will be the last date for issuing Umrah visas, the 15th of the same month will be the last date for pilgrims to enter, while the first of Dhul Qi'dah will be the last date for pilgrims to leave the Kingdom.

Bahrain Successfully Completes Return of Stranded Citizens from Affected Countries
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the successful return of all Bahraini citizens who were stranded abroad and had requested to come back home from countries affected by the current regional situation. This was made possible after the full or partial reopening of airspace in those nations. The repatriation efforts were carried out in line with the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and under the instructions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The final two repatriation flights, operated by Gulf Air, Bahrain's national carrier, arrived from Turkmenistan carrying 203 citizens who had previously been in the Islamic Republic of Iran. In addition, the ministry confirmed the return of 103 other citizens from various countries where airspace had been temporarily closed due to the ongoing situation. In total, 2,586 Bahraini citizens were brought back from Iran through coordinated efforts involving nine Gulf Air flights and 37 buses operating by land routes. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its gratitude to the diplomatic missions of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as well as to the governments of Iraq and Turkmenistan, for their support in easing travel and border procedures, and for helping Bahraini citizens return safely.

Emirates Reroutes Several Flights Heading To Dubai, No Diversions As Airspaces Close
Dubai-based Emirates airline said it rerouted several flights enroute to Dubai on June 23 because of the ongoing regional situation. However, there were no diversions. GCC countries such as Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait had suspended their airspaces following Iran's strikes at a US base in Qatar on Monday. 'After a thorough and careful risk assessment, Emirates will continue to operate flights as scheduled, using flight paths well distanced from conflict areas,' the airline said. The airline cautioned that some flights may incur delays due to longer re-routings or airspace congestion. 'Emirates' teams are working hard to keep to schedule and minimise any disruption or inconvenience to our customers,' it said. The airline also advised passengers to check the flight status before heading to the airport. Customers impacted by flight cancellations were advised to contact their travel agency for rebooking.
