As per Variety, 'Pretty Babies' is an indie female friendship drama written and directed by Tyler-Marie Evans, who makes her feature debut.
Set to enter production later this summer, the film follows two teenage girls who run away to Hollywood, chasing stardom, but their dreams lead them into prostitution, trapping them in the dark underbelly of the sex work industry as they travel from Texas to California.
"'Pretty Babies' is a love letter to Old Hollywood. We're pushing into something new with this script, and that excitement has been palpable from the start, and something felt by every collaborator," said Evans.
Christine Vachon from Killer Films is producing, alongside Jordan Wagner from Wagner Entertainment. Benson will produce. Amanda Larney of Killer Films is associate producing, Variety reported.
"When I first met Tyler-Marie, I knew immediately there was something special about her. She brings a unique, personal, and compelling vision to a story that truly deserves to be told. It was her passion and perspective that first drew me to this project, and now, partnering with Christine and Killer Films, along with the incredible cast we've assembled, we couldn't ask for a better team to help bring it to life," said Wagner.

The 38-year-old debuted a single, 'What Did I Miss?' from his upcoming album, 'Iceman,' on a livestream, addressing his quite public fallout. About Drake's livestream... It cuts to a sudden live performance by the Canadian rapper, discoursing on the aftermath of the resentment with Lamar. 'What Did I Miss?' Drake called out the 'Euphoria' rapper's homecoming show 'The Pop Out' in June 2024 with the lyrics: 'I'm back in your city tonight, walkin' around with my head high / I saw bro at the Pop Out with them but been d–k riding gang since 'Headlines.'' Additionally, Drake denounced his close friends, the NBA stars Lebron James and DeMar DeRozan, who were spotted in the audience and tried to be on both sides, according to Variety. 'Sinners' makers purchased costumes originally made for 'Blade' reboot

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Michael B Jordan's 'Sinners' gave audiences a sneak peek at Marvel's "Blade" reboot without the audience knowing. The producers of the movie revealed the costumes originally set for the 'Blade' reboot were repurposed for 'Sinners' after the production of the former movie hit a roadblock, reported Variety. During a recent interview with ScreenCrush, 'Sinners' producers Sev Ohanian shared that they bought the costumes from Marvel, which were originally intended for the reboot of 'Blade'. "[Costume designer] Ruth Carter was working on the Blade movie that ended up not shooting. At one point, that movie was going to deal with, and she's talked about this before, but at one point, that film was going to deal with the past around the same era as 'Sinners.' She happened to have a warehouse full of period-appropriate clothes, and it was like, 'Yo, we got to shoot this movie like tomorrow.' And Marvel was generous enough and kind enough to let us basically purchase it at price," said Sev Ohanian as quoted by Variety. Ohanian added that "a lot of the background actors" wore the clothes intended for "Blade" while the stars had original costumes, reported Variety. 'Sinners,' which debuted on April 18, is one of the major box office phenomena of 2025. An entirely original horror film went on to gross a staggering 364 million USD worldwide. It is currently the eighth highest-grossing film of 2025 and the only title in the top 10 not based on preexisting IP, according to Variety. As for Marvel's 'Blade', it was first announced in 2019 and has been in production limbo ever since. However, the film's star, Mahershala Ali, recently told Variety that he remains ready to step into the role of the daywalking vampire hunter.
