Trump gushes over Karoline Leavitt: ‘It's that face, it's that brain, it's those lips, the way they move!'
The president gave the unorthodox compliments during a Friday interview with Newsmax in response to Leavitt's claim that he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his alleged success since returning to office.
'She's become a star. It's that face. It's that brain. It's those lips, the way they move. They move like she's a machine gun,' Trump said. 'She's a great person, actually. But she's – I don't think anybody has ever had a better press secretary than Karoline. She's been amazing.'
The 27-year-old is Trump's fifth press secretary overall, though remains the only one from his second term so far. At a White House Press briefing Thursday, Leavitt praised Trump in a similarly effusive fashion.
'President Trump has brokered, on average, about one peace deal or ceasefire per month during his six months in office,' she claimed. 'It's well past time that President Trump was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.'
Social media was quick to react to the president's comments during his Newsmax sit-down, with some accusing him of being 'creepy.'
'This definitely sounds like something Jeffrey Epstein's best friend would say,' one user wrote, referring to the ongoing furor surrounding the president and his connection to the deceased pedophile financier.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing and said that he and Epstein had cut ties many years before allegations of sex-trafficking were made against the financier.
'Will ANYONE in the MSM ask him or the White House about this incredibly bizarre, creepy, cringey comment? Of course not,' wrote one user. 'It's amazing how his 'super Christian-y' base just love that he's such a creepy old pervert,' added another.
A third wrote: 'If any man said this on the job about a fellow employee, they'd be fired instantly, and the company sued.'

Lord Kim Darroch was forced to quit during Trump's first term after he described his administration as "inept" - and if anything he's more scathing in his latest assessment The UK's former ambassador to the US has trashed Donald Trump in a public roasting - describing the President as acting like a "medieval King". Lord Kim Darroch accused the American leader of turning the "Oval Office into a reality TV set". The former diplomat was forced to quit his role in 2019 during Mr Trump's first term after leaked briefings showed him describing the President's government as "dysfunctional", "inept" and "divided". Speaking to broadcaster Iain Dale at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Lord Darroch defended the letter, which he said was a result of then prime minister David Cameron urging him to be honest and direct. He told the audience in Scotland's capital that his comments were borne out by Mr Trump's actions as president. The former ambassador said Mr Trump was ultimately an unpredictable leader as he cited the numerous firings of top officials by the president, the various changes to his tariff policies and the recent move to place nuclear submarines near Russia. "He's sort of like a medieval king - that sort of capricious decision-making - than he is like a modern politician where consistency is seen as important," he said. "He doesn't think that's important at all. He thinks that every day is a fresh day. You're basically battling with media. "You're battling with your opponents. If it suits you today to reverse something you did last week, just do it. "If you look at tariffs, that's a perfect example of unpredictability of capriciousness." Lord Darroch suggested that Mr Trump's style stemmed from his time on the US version of The Apprentice. " Donald Trump was made by reality TV," he said, describing him as "the American version of Alan Sugar". He added: "He learned a lot about how to present himself from reality TV. "I think he's now literally turned the Oval Office into a reality TV set." During his discussion with Mr Dale, the former diplomat praised the Prime Minister's handling of foreign policy, including his relationship with the US President. He told the broadcaster: "So far, against a lot of predictions, Keir Starmer has proved himself really quite an adept Trump whisperer. "He's done some clever things, including phoning Trump up after the assassination attempt - that was a clever thing to do, going to see him to sort of kiss the ring before the election." The peer said the Labour leader had been better on foreign policy than domestic policy, but warned the PM there were "not many votes in foreign policy". Trump soars to new HEIGHTS and climbs roof for bird's eye view of White House makeover
President Donald Trump appeared at an unusual spot on Tuesday - the West Wing roof - as he hinted there could be more White House renovations up his sleeve. The president brought an entourage with him and stepped outside the White House residence onto the roof of the Palm Room and the press briefing room - a single-story portion of the West Wing that overlooks the newly revamped Rose Garden. 'Sir, why are you on the roof?' a reporter yelled to the president. 'Mr. President, what are you doing up there?' another journalist asked. Trump gave his trademark fist pump. 'Taking a little walk,' he replied. He noted that the planned White House ballroom would be on the other side of the residence, as there are plans to add 90,000 square feet to the current East Wing, where first lady Melania Trump has her offices. He then hinted that he could add something on top of where he was standing, making a domed gesture with his hands. 'Something beautiful,' he said. 'More ways to spend my money. We'll show you. It's just another way to spend my money for the country.' President Donald Trump is seen shouting to reporters from the roof of the West Wing over where the White House press briefing room is located 'Anything I do is financed by me so you don't have to worry, it's contributed,' he continued. 'Just like my salary is contributed but nobody ever mentions that.' Trump continued his tour and then was asked about his plans for the West Wing roof yet again. He joked that he was building 'nuclear missiles' on the roof. He then stepped back into the residence. Trump's appearance on the roof comes after White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Thursday that the ballroom project was a go. Construction on the East Wing will begin in September, she said, with the expected cost to be around $200 million. Trump said he would finance all or part of the ballroom project, with the rest given by donors. The Rose Garden project is also coming to a close. Asked by the Daily Mail on Sunday how he thought it turned out, Trump said the project had received 'great reviews.' 'Yeah, we're getting great reviews of the Rose Garden and we had to do it,' the president said. 'When we had a press conference you'd sink into the mud. It was grass and it was very wet, always wet and damp and wet, and if it rained it would take three, four, five days to dry out and we couldn't use it really for the intended purpose,' he continued. The president took out the Rose Garden's grassy center, making it more patio-like instead. 'And it's a beautiful white stone and it's a stone that's the same color as the White House itself,' Trump said. 'And because it's very white it's going to reflect the heat and it's not going to be very hot.' The patio's drainage system resembles the American flag and the presidential seal has been stamped in the corners of the patio. Since taking office in January, Trump has also erected two large American flags on the White House campus, on both the North and South Lawn.
