Prince Harry denies allegations of 'punching Andrew' and 'calling him a coward'

Prince Harry has denied claims that he left Prince Andrew with a 'bloody nose' during a furious altercation, made in a bombshell new book. The Duke of Sussex is accused of punching the Duke of York at a family gathering in 2013 after branding him a "coward" in author Andrew Lownie's new book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.
Tensions are said to have flared between the royal pair after Harry was told of "something Andrew said" behind his back, he writes, adding that the relationship between the two has not improved over a decade since the alleged incident.
In a new extract from the book, Mr Lownie writes: "At a family gathering in 2013, Harry and Andrew had got into a heated argument, and punches were thrown over something Andrew said behind Harry's back."
In the book, which is being serialised by the Daily Mail, he added: "According to a source close to both men, Harry told him he was a coward not to say it to his face. Harry got the better of Andrew by all accounts, leaving him with a bloody nose before the fight was broken up."
The author also described Prince Andrew's relationship with both his nephews Harry and William as "problematic", with Andrew later said to have told the Duke of Sussex that his marriage to Meghan Markle would "not last more than a month".
Harry's representatives have denied both claims made in the new book, Mirror UK reports.
In a statement to People magazine, a member of the Duke's staff said: "I can confirm neither of those things are true. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry."
The book also alleges that Prince William has been working behind the scenes to support Andrew's eviction from the Royal Lodge, the £31 million Windsor estate where the Duke of York lives with his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.
It follows multiple reported attempts by King Charles to have his brother removed from the 31-bed mansion, with the Duke of York appearing intent to stay put. Photos from earlier this year showed the property looking distinctly worse for wear, with black mould, damp, and cracked paintwork visible around the exterior, as well as the outbuildings and the gatehouse.
The Prince of Wales is said to have "long harboured" disdain for both Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, according to the book, and would look to evict the pair himself upon taking the throne should his father not succeed.

Love Island host takes brutal swipe at Harry and says he ‘held Shakira back' from winning show

A LOVE Island host has taken a swipe at Harry and says he 'held Shakira back' from winning the show. Last night viewers watched as Toni Laites and Cach Mercer won the latest series of the ITV2 reality show. Many fans thought Shakira had it in the bag, but after Harry's villa antics some viewers speculated that the pair wouldn't win because of him. This is a sentiment that Aftersun host Sam Thompson appeared to agree with. 'Shakira was slightly held back by Harry yeah, but do you know what he had a bit of a personality transplant at the end. Advertisement 'Now, I think he's madly in love with her and that won't change. They'll come out and he'll see how well she's doing and probably even more in love with her.' Sam, who spoke to The Sun on behalf of M&Ms Couch Confessions, added: 'I think they'll go strong for a while. 'She could've won it, but I think Toni and Cach are amazing.' The 33-year-old threw his full support behind winners Toni and Cach, adding: 'I loved his tears. I know it sounds weird but I love that he showed that emotion. Advertisement 'He also would never look at her when talking to her, which I found so interesting. I think he's really shy, but I think that's really endearing and you can tell he's just a nice guy. Sam Thompson 'shoots his shot' and hit on Olivia Attwood's MARRIED sister says Pete Wicks - after his date with influencer is revealed 'It's good to see nice guys do well who don't start as the OG's. He doesn't have to be the life of the party, and he wasn't the most entertaining person in the world, but he was just a lovely guy.' Sam, who listed Love Island as his favourite TV show ever, also spoke about the divide between the girls in the villa. Millions of viewers watched the likes of Toni Laites and Shakira Khan clash with Helena and Meg Moore. Advertisement Things got especially heated when Harry Cooksley's head was turned back to Shakira after he made his partnership with Helena 'exclusive'. Sharing his thoughts on the matter, Sam told us: 'You're going to get all of that happening. 'I went into the house a few days ago and it's small. You're on top of each other and you know how it is, they'll get out and all be best of pals. 'They'll have a WhatsApp group, someone will leave it first, but they're all pals.' Advertisement The Aftersun star wasn't too sure which couple will be the first to split, but was adamant that Yasmin was his favourite Islander of the series. He continued: 'Do you think it'll be Meg and Dejon? I do think they've got something to prove now. I don't think they'll break up any time soon. 'And I think we've got some really strong couples. Yas had an amazing story arc, at the start she was risque and I love now that we've seen a little bit of warmth and heart. 'She was my favourite Islander.' Advertisement On the topic of TV, Sam was chatting to The Sun about all things telly while enjoying some M&M'S, to launch Couch Confessions, a playful new pop-up experience coming to Battersea on 5th August, built around Britain's funniest (and most relatable) TV-watching habits. He opened up on his own TV watching habits, saying: 'I'm a pauser, I'm a talker, I'm a sub-titler, I'm a tea maker, I'm a fiddler.' The 33-year-old also said he was keen to buy a slanket, which boasts the unique features arm holes, foot pockets, and areas for snacks, so he could share it with his cats. Asked if his best mate Pete Wicks would be accompanying him in the slanket, Sam was quick to say: 'I'm not sharing it with anyone at the moment, it'll just be me and my cats in the slanket.' ‘Upset' Queen's cutting remark about Meghan & Harry's wedding ‘revealed' – and what she REALLY thought about guest list

The late Queen was said to have been hurt by the Sussexes' behaviour QUEEN'S FURY 'Upset' Queen's cutting remark about Meghan & Harry's wedding 'revealed' – and what she REALLY thought about guest list THE late Queen was "upset"' at Meghan Markle's plans for her and Harry's wedding at Windsor Castle, a close friend of her cousin has claimed. Queen Elizabeth II is said to have been unhappy with the couple's guest list for the event and the pair inviting "random" celebrities instead of family members. Advertisement 5 Queen Elizabeth the II was reportedly left 'annoyed' by the Sussex's behaviour Credit: AFP 5 Harry and Meghan invited celebrities to their wedding who barely knew the Royal Family Credit: Reuters Sally Bedell Smith, a royal biographer, said the queen was left exasperated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plans. The late Queen reportedly said: "But it's my house - and I'm paying for it" when confronted with the plans for the Windsor Castle event. She was also said to have been "annoyed" when the pair went directly to the Archbishop of Canterbury to ask him to marry them in St George's Chapel in May 2018. Harry's grandmother was more excited about Princess Eugenie's wedding in October that year, according to the Daily Mail. Advertisement Ms Bedell Smith claims that Meghan then announced her pregnancy on the same day and then went on to say that the timing of the announcement had been "rude." She spoke at length with the late Queen's cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, who in turn spoke with the late Queen towards the end of her life. Lady Anson was born in Windsor Castle and was a great-niece of the Queen Mother and a goddaughter of King George VI. She was a party planner and was known as Liza to close friends and family. Advertisement Bedall Smith claimed in a new podcast that the late queen was upset about her lack of involvement in the Sussex's wedding planning. Harry and Meghan made the Queen's last years a complete misery - they'll NEVER be forgiven Lady Anson made an attempt to console her by telling her she could look forward to the Royal Ascot and Princess Eugenie's wedding. Despite her first cousin's best efforts her majesty remained upset. The Royal Family paid for the Sussex's wedding, covering the cost of the service, music, flowers and reception. The reception was then followed by an evening bash for 200 VIPs at Frogmore House, hosted by Harry's father. 5 Harry and Meghan married in May 2018 Credit: PA 5 The couple reportedly had a preference to invite celebrities over members of the family Credit: AFP Advertisement 5 Meghan announced her pregnancy shortly after her wedding Credit: Reuters Claims were made today however that Harry and Meghan had invited people who barely knew the Royal Family. Sally Bedell Smith told American royal commentator Kinsey Schofield: "Harry and Meghan just disinvited or didn't invite a whole group of family and cousins. "The children of the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and of the Gloucesters. Advertisement "She [Meghan] and Harry just 'exed' them out of the guest list and they added all these other random people who barely even knew the Royal Family. "That was just yet another irritation for the Queen." Ms Bedell Smith revealed earlier this year what the late Queen's real thoughts on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their behaviour were. She said that as the wedding approached the queen began to feel "very worried" privately. Advertisement According to Bedell Smith concerns were raised that Harry was 'Besotted and weak about women." Lady Anson reportedly told Bedell Smith about Meghan: "We hope but don't quite think she is in love. We think she engineered it all.' The Sussex's married in May 2018 and Meghan threw herself into royal duties before falling pregnant. Sally Bedell Smith wrote on her Substack: "By late February 2019 when Lady Anson and I spoke on the phone, she said 'I don't trust Meghan an inch. To begin with, she was not bad—a straightforward starlet, used to public speaking and charity work. The wedge between the brothers is really too bad.'" Advertisement Lady Anson, who worked as a party planner for elites celebrities and royals, tragically passed away in 2020. The queen made her a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order for her outstanding personal service to a British monarch. The Sun has contacted the Sussexes for comment.

Love Island star says ‘see you on All Stars' to Harry and predicts he'll ‘hit up Helena' on the outside

Harry has already begun discussing Helena after leaving the villa next move? Love Island star says 'see you on All Stars' to Harry and predicts he'll 'hit up Helena' on the outside A LOVE Islander has already predicted one star from this year's cast will be signed up for All Stars and even make the moves on one of his co-stars. Former Islander, Olivia Hawkins, who has taken part in the show twice, has revealed that she does not see Harry and Shakira lasting on the outside - despite coming in second place. Speaking to The Sun via Mecca Bingo following the show's final, Liv said: "Harry's lucky that he's in a couple with Shakira; she's carried him to the final. "It's annoying, but as a character, I still love him. I still predict we'll see Harry on All Stars in January. 'I don't think they'll last as a couple, but they'll stay good friends." Advertisement In a cheeky comment, Liv then added: "He'll probably hit up Helena again when he's out.' Olivia first appeared on series nine of Love Island in January 2023. She returned two years later for the second All Stars edition of the programme but failed to find love once again. Now, she is hoping to find a connection on E4's Celebs Go Dating. Advertisement In last night's Love Island final, Harry finished in second place alongside Shakira. They came second to Toni and Cach despite only growing close once again over the past week after Harry put a stop to his connection with Helena. Speaking on The Morning After, the star said: "I think we were great friends and before she left, she said to me we can still be friends, which is a great thing for me." Advertisement Harry then continued: "It wasn't, like, there [with Helena]. "I think you feel it and I really tried to work on it and try to do the right things but this [with Shakira] was just so natural." 6 Liv has appeared on Love Island twice Credit: Rex 6 She thinks Harry could follow in her footsteps Credit: Shutterstock Editorial Advertisement In a very telling moment, Shakira then agreed with show host Amy Hart that Harry was likely influenced by his best mate Dejon to date Helena so that he was going out with someone in Meg's friendship group. The villa girls were famously divided this year and Shakira agreed with Amy's statement that Dejon didn't want Harry to date outside of their little group. Amy also pointed out how Dejon encouraged Harrison to get with Lauren as opposed to Toni, again to keep it in the same circle. In response, Harry said: "Yes, there is some truth to that. Advertisement "D would naturally want that. As a four [Dejon, Harry, Meg, Helena], we all got on really well. "But I would say it was across the villa - everyone kinda saw me and Helena, apart from Toni and Yas. "Everyone was rooting for us." 6 She is due to appear on the next series of Celebs Go Dating Credit: ©Nic Serpell-Rand 2024
