What Ajith recently said about becoming an actor Recently, in an interview with India Today, Ajith called himself an 'accidental actor'. "I was 18 when I started racing motorcycles. I remember my father said that it is a very expensive sport and we cannot support you, but you must find your way. I was at the race track when I was approached by a model coordinator who gave me a visiting card and said if I am interested, then give me a call back. Then, before I started realising, I started doing print ads and TV commercials.' He added, 'I told them that I know that I am leaping in the dark. But imagine all those people who want to be in my position and see that I have been approached by a production company and I refused, imagine how angry they would feel… That's how I became an actor. I gave a journalist an answer that I had debts, and the idea was to make a couple of films, and if I did become successful, I would repay my debts. I didn't come to the industry seeking fame.' Hrithik Roshan reveals why he decided to turn director with superhero film Krrish 4: ‘Not keeping life monotonous'

With anticipation running high for War 2, Hrithik Roshan continues to dominate headlines, but it's not the only project that has fans buzzing. Equally generating excitement is Krrish 4, the long-awaited next chapter in the superhero franchise. This time, though, it's more than just a return to the cape and mask. In a major creative leap, Hrithik will also make his directorial debut, taking the reins from his father, legendary filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. Hrithik Roshan's Krrish films were directed by his dad Rakesh Roshan previously. Hrithik opens up about Krrish 4 As both star and director, Hrithik is set to redefine Krrish's legacy with a fresh vision and a new personal milestone in his cinematic journey. This bold move has sparked immense curiosity among fans and the film industry alike. In a recent interaction reported by Deccan Chronicle, Hrithik opened up about his upcoming directorial debut and the emotions tied to it. 'I hope there's a director in me that I can be proud of as I step into the director's shoes for my next film,' he said. Acknowledging that the journey ahead is new and challenging, Hrithik added, 'I'm going to be that person in the room who knows the least, in so many ways. It's a new journey, and I'm excited that I'm not keeping my life monotonous. I like doing new things. I'm curious, and I'm wondering if there's a director in me, waiting to be discovered.' About Krrish 4 While official details of Krrish 4 remain tightly under wraps, what is known is enough to build anticipation. Buzz is that the film will delve into the theme of time travel — a first for the franchise — opening doors to limitless storytelling possibilities. Currently in pre-production at YRF Studios, the film has a specialised VFX team working on elaborate pre-visualisation sequences. Hrithik is said to be actively involved in every creative step, collaborating closely with writers and producer Aditya Chopra to shape what could be the most ambitious chapter of the Krrish saga yet. Filming is expected to begin in early 2026, and with Hrithik leading both in front of and behind the camera, Krrish 4 is expected to be a landmark moment not just for the franchise but for Hrithik's career.

Hrithik Roshan talks social media detox; says ‘Something in me switched' after break

Hrithik Roshan recently opened up about taking a step back from social media, a decision he says changed his relationship with time and presence. While promoting 'War 2' in Colombo, the actor shared that he had deleted Instagram entirely and only reinstalled it to praise comedian Vir Das for his stand-up special Fool Volume. What started as a short break became something more impactful. 'Something in me switched,' Hrithik said, reflecting on how unplugging helped him discover just how much time he actually had, and how valuable boredom and stillness can be. 'Try it for a week', says Hrithik 'I understood the perils of constantly being online,' Hrithik said. 'I became more aware of how much time I actually have, and what it feels like to just be bored, to simply exist. It was enlightening.' Urging others to try a social media detox for at least a week, Hrithik believes it offers clarity that's hard to find when constantly plugged in. His words come at a time when digital overwhelm is becoming more common, even among celebrities. His short but impactful break offered a fresh lens on self-awareness, time, and balance. Back online, with 'War 2' buzz Now back on Instagram, Hrithik is making waves again, this time with the first track from 'War 2', 'Aavan Jaavan'. He even shared a fun video of his mother, Pinkie Roshan, dancing to the hook step. 'You know the song is a chartbuster when your mom spends a day learning the hook and looks a million bucks doing it!' he wrote lovingly. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, 'War 2' stars Hrithik alongside Jr NTR and Kiara Advani , and is set for an August 14, 2025, release. The song is already a hit with fans.
