Anwar praises Brazil visit success in boosting ties and cooperation
In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister stated that the trip met its key goals, reinforcing ties not only with Brazil but also with other BRICS nations.
Anwar emphasised Malaysia's growing reputation among international investors, crediting the MADANI Government's dedication to attracting high-quality investments that drive economic growth. 'Malaysia's name continues to be on the lips of international investors as a result of the unwavering commitment of the entire MADANI Government team,' he said.
He urged the public to remain focused on progress, dismissing negative voices that undermine these efforts. 'Our journey is far from over, and we will continue to forge ahead with determination and commitment to bring real change to the country and future generations,' Anwar added.
The Prime Minister thanked all involved in the mission's success, including ministry officials, the Malaysian Embassy in Brazil, security personnel, and media representatives. He concluded with a message in Portuguese: 'Obrigado, Brasil. Até nos encontrarmos novamente (Thank you, Brazil. Until we meet again).'
Anwar returned to Malaysia after a three-nation tour that included stops in Italy and France. The Malaysian delegation departed from Galeão Air Base at 1 pm local time.

Over 70,000 visitors attend MADANI Rakyat Programme in Terengganu
KUALA TERENGGANU: The MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025 in Terengganu, held at Pasar Kedai Payang here since Thursday, recorded an overwhelming turnout of over 70,000 visitors, far surpassing the initial target of 25,000. The Ministry of Works (KKR) in a statement today said the programme successfully achieved its objective of bringing government services and initiatives closer to the grassroots. 'All the feedback and suggestions received throughout the programme are highly valuable in enhancing the quality of government service delivery towards a progressive Malaysia grounded in MADANI values. 'As the lead ministry, KKR extends its appreciation to all parties across federal and state ministries and agencies, private companies, entrepreneurs and the people of Terengganu for their participation and support in making the event a success,' the statement read. Organised in collaboration with the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department (ICU JPM) and the Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU), the programme, themed 'MADANI Development, Prosperous People', reflected the Government's effort to build inclusive physical development through roads, bridges and public facilities. At the same time, it strengthened the human values that underpin the MADANI ethos, promoting an ethical, caring and responsible citizenry in advancing shared national development. Terengganu launches MADANI Tuition to boost student excellence
KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for choosing Terengganu as the first state to implement the MADANI Tuition initiative, with an allocation of RM5.27 million. He said that his side hopes the assistance can further enhance the excellence of students in this state, but at the same time wants teachers to be able to identify the groups that need that assistance. 'We hope that the students can fully benefit from this. I believe that the school and the education department should also prioritise identifying the groups of excellent students, the middle group, or the left-behind group so that no student is left behind in Terengganu,' he said.
