KCR mortgaged TG water interests to AP: Revanth
'With regard to Krishna water utilization, KCR betrayed Telangana a thousand times more than the injustice done by the rulers in the erstwhile undivided Andhra Pradesh. The BRS leader should be awarded a punishment of 100 whippings,' the Chief Minister said, adding that BRS leaders were levelling baseless allegations against the Congress to cover up their misdeeds.
Revanth Reddy made these comments after participating in a power-point presentation by Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Krishna water and Medigadda project taken up by the previous BRS government and its catastrophic consequences to the state irrigation sector in Praja Bhavan here. He invited KCR to come for a debate in the Assembly on projects and Krishna and Godavari water utilization during 10 years of BRS rule and in the Congress government. The CM said that he along with ministers would even hold a mock assembly at KCR's Erravalli farmhouse if the BRS leader can't make it to the Assembly due to poor health.
The Chief Minister further said that the government was ready to seek suggestions on irrigation projects from an experienced leader like KCR for the benefit of the state. 'We are also ready to seek opinions from experts and other stakeholders,' the CM said, appealing to KCR to write a letter to the Speaker to convene the Legislative Assembly sessions as the government was ready for a thorough debate. 'Let's discuss the decisions taken during the BRS regime and our tenure. As the leader of the House, I promise, without any confusion, it is my responsibility to ensure that no one's dignity is violated in the house during the debate', he stated.
The government's main intention is to explain the facts to the people and be ready to fight for the rights of Telangana on water issues, he added.
Further, Revanth Reddy said that it was KCR who reduced allocations from 2 TMC to one TMC per day to Palamuru- Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. The CM also questioned the change in the designs of Pranahita-Chevella Lift Irrigation project which led to removal of 4 lakh acres of ayacut in Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda districts. During the Congress regime, irrigation facilities were provided to 54 lakh acres at the cost of Rs 93,000 per acre while the cost zoomed to Rs 15 lakh per acre during the BRS government, he pointed out.

Panel submits report in stampede case
Bengaluru: The one-man Commission led by retired Justice Michael D'Cunha, appointed by the Congress-led government to probe the June 4 Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede tragedy that claimed 11 lives, submitted its report in two volumes to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday. Justice D'Cunha handed over the report to CM Siddaramaiah in the presence of the Chief Minister's Legal Advisor and MLA A.S. Ponnanna, Karnataka Chief Secretary Shalini Rajaneesh, and other officials at the Vidhana Soudha. The details of the report are yet to be made public. CM Siddaramaiah said, "The one-man Commission headed by retired Justice Michael D'Cunha, appointed to look into the stampede tragedy that claimed 11 lives, has submitted its report. The report has been submitted in two volumes." "I have not been able to read it fully. It will be presented before the next Cabinet meeting on July 17, where we will discuss the findings and recommendations." When asked about the contents of the report, the Chief Minister said that it comprises two volumes and he has not yet read it. He emphasised that the report's findings need to be discussed and debated before any decisions are made. "I am yet to go through the report, and it needs to be discussed in the Cabinet. You (the media) should not publish inaccurate information before that," he added. The state government had issued a notification on June 5, 2025, forming a one-man Commission led by retired Justice Michael D'Cunha to investigate the deaths and injuries caused by the stampede during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) victory celebration event. The government, on June 7, issued a notification extending the term of the one-man Commission led by retired Justice John Michael D'Cunha to facilitate the probe into the Chinnaswamy stampede tragedy. The Congress-led state government has ordered a three-pronged investigation into the stampede tragedy. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced a magisterial probe by the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru City and District Magistrate, a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) probe, in addition to the judicial probe by the John Michael D'Cunha-led Commission.

HM Shah to inaugurate BJP's new Kerala HQ today, review poll preparedness
New Delhi: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to embark on a packed one-day visit to Kerala on Saturday, where he will inaugurate the new BJP state headquarters located on K.G. Marar Road in Thiruvananthapuram at 10:30 A.M. and also review poll preparedness for the fast approaching Assembly polls. The ceremony will include the hoisting of the party flag, a tree plantation on the office premises, and the unveiling of a bust of K.G. Marar, the former state BJP President and a prominent figure in the party's Kerala unit. Following the inauguration, at 11:15 A.M., HM Shah will address the 'Viksit Keralam Sammelan,' a ward-level leadership meet of the BJP, at Putharikandam Maidan in Thiruvananthapuram. The event is expected to draw a massive crowd of around 36,000 grassroots leaders from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha districts. Cong MLA blames political rival for ED raids over alleged foreign assets
Chikkaballapura: Congress MLA S N Subba Reddy on Friday alleged that a political rival was behind the ED raids conducted on his residence and five other premises in connection with a probe into alleged undisclosed foreign assets. Speaking to reporters, Reddy denied owning any foreign assets and said the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned him for questioning on July 14. At least five premises in Bengaluru, including that of the Bagepalli legislator, were searched under section 37 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), on Thursday. The probe pertains to alleged foreign bank deposits, investments in vehicles, and immovable properties in countries including Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Germany, allegedly held by Reddy and his family members, sources said. He said, during the raid, the ED officials questioned him about whether he held any assets abroad, specifically in Malaysia. 'I told the ED officials that if at all there is an investment of even a paisa in the foreign country, I will donate my entire property to your government. I even told them that I will give it in affidavit, which they can take away with them,' said Reddy. He added that the ED officials did not give him any clear information during the raid and said he would appear before the investigators on Jul 14.
