Crash in East McKeesport kills 1, injures another
The Allegheny County Police Department said in a news release that officers were called to Fifth and Penn avenues around 6:40 p.m. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
At the scene, officials said they found 2 victims. The two men were taken to local hospitals, where one died. The condition of the second man was not immediately known on Friday night. County police said there were no passengers in either vehicle.
According to authorities, preliminary information shows the drivers were headed toward each other on Fifth Avenue when they collided. Officers are investigating the crash.
The man who died was not identified on Friday night.

Multiple people sought over missing 22-year-old woman last seen near suspension bridge
Officers investigating the disappearance of a 22-year-old woman are looking for multiple people who "may hold information vital to their enquiries". Gwenno Ephraim was last seen on the night of Monday, July 28, in the upper Bangor area. CCTV images revealed that Gwenno walked alone in the direction of the Menai Bridge late on that Monday evening, between the hours of 10.20pm and 11.10pm. Personal items, believed to belong to Gwenno, were subsequently found on the Menai Suspension Bridge on Tuesday morning. A major sea search has been carried out in the area, with an HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter, multiple rescue teams and RNLI lifeboats deployed in the search, but Gwenno has not been located. The appeal stated: "Our enquiries to date lead us to believe that Gwenno may have entered the waters of the Menai Strait." Police released further CCTV images on Tuesday (August 4) and confirmed they now wanted talk to a female pedestrian crossing the bridge at a similar time to Gwenno to see if they could assist with the investigation. They also want to speak to a cyclist and the drivers and any passengers in three vehicles who were also travelling across the bridge around the time they believe Gwenno may have reached the crossing over the Menai Strait. The vehicles are a Silver Audi TT, a black Skoda Octavia, and a grey BMW 116. Chief Inspector Stephen Pawson said: "Extensive searches remain underway in the Menai Strait area, and we continue to provide support to Gwenno's family during this extremely difficult time. 'Having analysed CCTV footage, we are confident that Gwenno reached the Menai Suspension Bridge shortly before 11:10pm. "This footage also captures a female pedestrian crossing on the opposite side of the bridge at that time. We're appealing for this individual to come forward and assist with the investigation. 'We're also keen to speak with a cyclist and the drivers of three cars who were all seen travelling across the bridge at around the same time. 'These vehicles included a Silver Audi TT, a black Skoda Octavia, and a grey BMW 116. "We are grateful to all who have responded to our prior requests for information, and to those who have assisted in our investigation to date." Two dead in Santa Ana after wrong-way driver slams into oncoming traffic
Two people were killed when a high-speed, wrong-way driver slammed into oncoming traffic in Santa Ana on Monday afternoon, causing a five-car crash that left several others hospitalized. It happened at around 6:40 p.m. in the 2200 block of S. Main Street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. Investigators believe that one of the drivers, behind the wheel of a gray sedan, was driving on the wrong side of the road at an extremely high rate of speed when they collided head-on with another vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Main. One of the two cars spun out and then crashed into three other vehicles. Both of the drivers, one male and one female, in the two cars involved in the initial collision died at the scene, police said. They have not yet been identified. Three other people were injured in the collision, each of which was taken to the hospital in stable condition with minor injuries, according to police. Initially, investigators believed that the grey sedan may have been street racing, but they have since determined that was not the case. They are working to determine if drunk or impaired driving was a factor. SkyCal flew over the scene of the crash at around 10 p.m., where dozens of officers could still be seen scouring the area. There was a large amount of debris strewn across the road, which was still closed.

Woman dead, three injured in Huntsville, Ont., crash: Police
Provincial police say a 46-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Huntsville, Ont. Ontario Provincial Police say the crash happened just after 2 p.m. on southbound Highway 11 at Allensville Road, around 200 kilometres northeast of Toronto. Police say the crash happened between a compact car and an SUV, though the cause of the crash is not currently known. Two people from the SUV were transported to hospital while one was airlifted to a local trauma centre in Toronto with serious injuries. The fourth occupant of the SUV was the woman who died from her injuries on scene. Police say they are investigating the crash and ask anyone with dash camera footage to contact them.
