MATTY Healy was called out by a handful of Glastonbury fans for fronting The 1975's headline slot armed with a pint and a cigarette.
The Sound hitmaker arrived on The Pyramid stage clutching a Guinness and a fag - complete with a pack of smokes which he lit up through the set - in a rockstar move that irked some BBC viewers watching at home.

The Cheshire-born frontman, 38, is known for his quirky on-stage presence, with his sharp suit, smooth moves and a signature travelator delighting many loyal fans of the Sound hitmakers.

The 1975 - who are currently on a pause from touring with Glasto their only 2025 show - rattled through a series of their hits including Chocolate, I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes), Somebody Else and a rousing finale of About You.
Yet despite the stellar hits and a mission to promote "love and friendship" some fans were less than impressed.

One took to X to argue: "@1975 you should be ashamed of your lead singer! My 14 year daughter loves your music but the state of your lead singer took the decision of us not allowing her to watch you perform!
"Drunk and smoking on stage is totally unacceptable in this era!"
Another then wrote: "Please put down the pint glass."
One posted: "He's got a lovely voice but put the cig down Matty."

TICKETS to the 2025 festival sold out in just minutes before some of the acts were even confirmed. Here is who has been confirmed so far.

The 1975 will take to the Pyramid Stage on Friday.
Neil Young will headline the festival for the second time after his last set in 2009 on Saturday after RAYE makes her return.
Charli xcx will headline the Other Stage on Saturday night.
On Sunday, Olivia Rodrigo is due to belt out her hits for her first appearance while Rod Stewart will perform in the legends slot.
More acts to appear on the Other Stage include Loyle Carner and The Prodigy.
Doechii will make her Glastonbury debut on the West Holts Stage on Saturday night.
Other names confirmed include Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Busta Rhymes, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, Myles Smith, En Vogue, Amaarae, Cymande, Shaboozey, Osees and Gary Numan.
Meanwhile on Instagram,
Lewis Capaldi also made an emotional return two years after his heartbreaking set in which he teared up and suffered repeated tics.
